I've been trying to get an account for months!
I'm a retired military Vet and have submitted many documents, one of which is my digital Military ID. They REFUSED it!
Our government should not be requiring us to use a broken system. I cannot access the IRS and VA because of this garbage system.
These websites are to serve us, not forbid us from accessing required websites!
What a mess, I wonder how much fraud is happening in this company. Probably in the Billions!
Recommendation: Contact your representatives and have them terminate any contracts with this scam.

Had similar experience(s) with ID.me. After about a dozen frustrating attempts over the last few years trying to finalize validating my identification (to simply set up an online account with the IRS), I resigned from any further engagement with them because I never succeeded.
To be clear... I uploaded EVERYTHING they requested, did EVERYTHING correctly according to their directions... and THEN they expect me to be on standby on my devise with average "estimated" wait times of 5 plus hours to have a video chat (to make sure it's really me). ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!
And btw... ID.me offers an option to make an appointment with one of their "trusted" validation reps which I tried a couple times... and THEY never showed up by calling, or connecting with me by any method, at the time they said they would. Such a waste of time.
AND yes... IT IS OUTRAGEOUS that the IRS is using an online identity system that is simply the worst!
