I-Ready review: It's a time suck with little benefit

Some students who are familiar with the iready know that it is an unlimited timed test. So, a lot of students just hangout on the platform extending the time of testing significantly. Tons of instructional time is lost to the iready. An average of fifteen instructional days a year. Additionally, it doesn't rank high readers properly. They can be a genius and at the most they will rank half a grade or a grade above where they are supposed to be. This shows the test is flawed because many of those readers would score an 10th or 11th grade reading leveled. The iready is intentionally capped and gives false results.
