I had ordered 3 dresses in early May 2026. The total for the 3 dresses was $215.80 + tax. After applying a gift card I had of $72.38 the total was $138.38. They emailed me telling me they were no longer making one of the dresses. This was disappointing, but ok. Nothing I can do about that. They only gave me back $11.59 refund even though the dress cost $75.64 plus tax. I complain. They tell me the refund has to go onto the gift card first, not the credit card. I'm not happy but ok.
I also realized quite quickly that I ordered the wrong size dresses, and since my order hadn’t been shipped yet, I email Halara to ask if they can switch from size Large to Medium. Veronica responded to me to confirm that I wanted Medium. However, they still sent the large sizes instead.
After a month of back & forth, Halara refuses to cover the cost of the return shipping for the wrong size. They tell me it’s their policy not to pay for return shipping. I respond to them reminding them that they acknowledged my request to change the size. I then ask them, If they were not going to change the size based on my email request, why didn’t they just tell me to cancel the order altogether and then reorder? This would have been much easier and without all the month-long stress, as well as extra expense of $34.44 for me to ship the dresses back. They reiterated they don’t pay for return shipping even if it's their fault. I will NEVER order anything from Halara again!
