GuitarZoom unauthorized credit card charges unethical behaviour

on 4/15/21 i purchased an order by mistake #1543332 I wanted my money back but couldn't reach anyone either by phone or chat. then I was charged for two more orders that I didn't place - #1543334 and #1543337. when I tried to contact them I got the royal runaround. at the time I couldn't talk to a real person. everything was carried on buy computer. they said they had no record of my email or my password which was an outright lie. my records show that they were given to them. when I call the contact number anytime day or night the answer is that no one was available to take my call but leave my name phone number and email address and they will get back to me as soon as possible. t his has been going on for two days and I'm getting stressed out from all this. I'm 79 years old and live in a group home for people on various kinds of disabilities. We receive very little income and they have depleted my savings to just a very little. I hope that someone will do the right thing and refund my money. Thank You

Desired outcome: refund my money

GuitarZoom Paid for ultimate chops builder and can not access the course

I placed an order online for Ultimate Chops Builder Order #1442111, for which I received an order confirmation email. I did not receive access to the course and still haven't. I created a customer request ticket ID#392488 and have not gotten a response. I also called the customer support phone number (which no one answers) left my contact information and have not heard back. I have purchased content in the past and was given access to the course right away. All I'm looking for is to use the course I paid for "Ultimate Chops Builder".

GuitarZoom Purchase of an online course charged for twice

https://support.guitarzoom.com
I purchased an online guitar course called 36 Accoustic Guitar Licks from Guitar Zoom. I live in the UK. The checkout process (paying by PayPal) didn't complete because I hadn't filled in the STATE field (because I have no US state) and it wouldn't proceed until I did fill it in - so I used the UK county name instead. Subsequently I received TWO confirmation emails for the subscription and checked my Paypal account where there were two charges made for the same amount. The email confirmation had a link to get into the site with the guitar course material. I use a password utility program to keep track of site access and the password got saved to there. I sent an email asking for one of the charges to be refunded and got an email back with a link to a "ticket" response to my complaint. Clicking on this I got asked for a password to see their response - entering the password I have for access to the site course didn't work. So I sent another request which resulted in another message with link to another ticket - and the password to access that still doesn't work and they won't send me a password that does work. So we go round and round and it all takes up endless amounts of time. Musically the material is good bout the IT aspects of the admin in this company are poor. all they have to do is send me an email with the information I asked for but they resort to giving me links to responses that I can't read. And I still don't have the refund.

GuitarZoom i keep having the same issue (problem)

4 different times I have purchase a DVD lesson course. to find out they don't have it in stock, but I can sign up for the online course, which costs the same.. and then I am at the mercy of how well they manage their website, which has been hacked and everyone gets locked out..., they promise an exclusive facebook page for those who purchase their lessons and yet every one and anyone can join the facebook page.. and you talk to the other people on the facebook page and know one has purchased a lesson.. anyone can join this facebook page ..so it is not exclusive to (only those who purchase the lessons) ...Steve Stine has his online personal web site were you can also purchase the DVD sets as I have purchased several I have received some sets and the others purchases they make you sign up for there guitarzoom site or offer a refund ...they will make an offer to refund your money..but that is not what I purchased..i purchased a DVD lesson set...I know what they are doing ..its called pump and dump...u build a internet business pump it up amd then sell it to a large corporation or investor...

GuitarZoom False offer

I have purchased hundreds of dollars of guitar instruction CDs from them. About two weeks ago they sent me an offer for a guitar tuner worth $39.95 for being a good customer, and all I had to pay was $2.37 for shipping. I noted that they charged my credit card for the tuner a few days later, then after a week, I had not received it. We are now at week 2 and still no tuner. I have contact them three times about the status of my order and NO response. I am not ordering anything from them again. They are scam artists.

It's the principal of it. This is the second time I have had to threaten to report them for a promotion that you pay your $ and the product is a no show. The promotions sent no confirm email nor any tracking. Very suspicious. I finally received the tuner a month later. The rep finally responded about a week later. Poorly run cust service. Very hesitant to do business with them again. The DVDs are good and helpful, along with the documentation. Definitely valuable, but just really bad delivery time. You might try Rocksmith. Instant download.

Follow up. I finally received feedback from guitarzoom about a week or two later and they said the tuner was on the way. It took almost a month to get it. That is the bad thing, they provide you with no tracking or communication of any kind. So you think they are like a normal company and you will have your product within a week or two, or will actually respond to your request within a day or two. Shoddy. My prior orders generally showed up within a week or two. Never received any tracking information. One other "promotion" they had, they did the same thing. Only pay for shipping and you get the DVD free. Billed my card, no confirmation, not feedback, had to threaten to report them. Received DVD within 2 days. I am not real comfortable with them. You might try something like Rocksmith.

Resolved

After about two weeks, their customer service responded to my requests. The tuner was sent about a month later. It was resolved, not quickly, but put to rest. I will say this, Steve Stine is a great guitar instructor, probably one of the best in the country.

Have never had a bad experience with the company. I buy, they provide, no glitches, no overbilling, It has been pushy in the sell department since Dean Denley took the helm. Steve is the best teacher I have ever encountered, competent, a wizard on his instrument, cerebral but down to earth; not an egotist. Safer to use the PayPal system, no chance for any extra billing. I also have a nose for trolls, hacks and paid trolls, and the, ' time of the handsers, ' so let's malign someone; including recognizing the cadence of expression of trolls posting as being many people.

GuitarZoom has done this exact same BS to me! I ordered some pricey DVD courses from them and as you try to check out, they keep pushing their monthly membership on you for $19.97. I refused and refused...but they didn't! They took my credit card information and commenced billing me unfortunately for numerous months. My wife always checks the Discover Card statement and assumed it was something I wanted. I did not. We're now over $250 of ridiculous charges for something I didn't even know I had and when I finally caught on and confronted them over this, they merely told me "Too bad! You could have clicked on the cancellation icon when you had the chance!" WTF!? I have reported them to my DISCOVER Dispute resolution team and plan to report them to their state's BBB office. I shall never do business with this shady company again and I don't care how good their products may seem. I urge others to speak up and do something about this as well. This is preying on unsuspecting customers: You try to purchase a specific item and they roll you over and pick your pockets for even more! Jim C.

Ya i also became a guitar zoom cash-ualty, i belong to jamplay (awsome site), guitartricks (also great), truefire (awsome) and all these sites have great teachers and lessons for a small monthly fee or yearly membership...Sad to say; as steve stine is a great teacher, the juice is not worth the squeezzz. As steve is the juice for guitar zoom, we as the consumers are beeing squeezed for way to much $$$$ . I have ordered over $250 worth of product just to see nothing in return, i still have not recieved my product after countless calls and emails. I have taken my credit card info off there site..And i keep geting free offers that are just another guies to sell me another lesson...And dont join there club as there is nothing to join just an emty box ...With all the other sites that are lagit, guitar zoom falls short of a honest mans offer..

I paid for a view online course. The login information they sent doesn't allow me to login. Getting no response. At least after reading these I now expect to hear from them in 2 or 3 weeks!
