Great service and very professional! I appreciated the fact that Carlos came out same day I called to give me a quote and he showed up on the day he promised with a very good crew that conducted themselves in a very professional manner. So refreshing to have a contractor call you back and do what he says he will do. Thank you! I would highly recommend this company for tree cutting services. Highly recommend Greater Pitt Tree Service! They were very kind, professional, fast, and fun to watch work. I had received a quote from another company that said it would take a 6-man crew 2 days to remove this 100ft maple tree from directly next to our house. Greater Pitt's 3-man crew arrived at 8am and were done by 4pm same day. An immense amount of work. As a side note, they were also really nice to our 2 and 3 year old toddlers who were watching from the window all day.

Great job today by Greater Pitt Tree Service trimming more than several very large trees, in an otherwise challenging environment - a backyard in the city with narrow ingress/egress to the street. The estimator was very thorough in his initial assessment, and the owner personally inspected the job himself again the day before cutting, to avoid any missteps. Reasonable pricing, excellent service, from set-up to clean-up. My thanks to the team and his crew, appreciate it greatly.

John, the owner, is extremely knowledgeable, very fair and an all around great guy to work with. Greater Pitt Tree Service has created a first class tree company. I can't say enough on how well he and his crew did an outstanding job shaping my 80 trees, along with going above and beyond protecting my yard from any damage. I know this wasn't an easy job with both locations of these trees being in a tight area, but your crew was able to handle it very well and were very professional. Awesome company to do business with. Jim (sales) and Carlos (owner) were great. They gave a thorough overview of the job with a detailed breakdown of the cost. Large project that took 9 solid hours for the crew of 5 to finish. All the workers hustled the entire day to get finished on time. Damage to the yard for taking down such a large tree was minimal and the clean up by the crew was great. They were quick to come out to give an estimate and met all of their commitments when it came to start date, start time and completion time. Would strongly recommend.

This is a first-rate tree service. Mine was a difficult tree trim because the tree was in a very tight space and they had to bring in a spider lift to get to the branches. Also, not only is John, the owner very pleasant and professional, but it is not often that one hears from employees how much they love their boss and their company. The communication between their office and me was timely and efficient. John delivered exactly what he said he would and more. The men left my yard better than when they arrived. They even raked my leaves! I can't say enough about these guys, except "thank you!"

This company did a great job for me removing a huge dead oak tree and a huge cherry tree. Both had the chance of falling and could have severely injured someone. I was in a bind since several of the companies who came to give me an estimate wouldn't even touch this monumental job. Greater Pitt said they could do it! Not only did they do the job...They protected the beautiful new trees I had in front of the trees to be removed and they protected my grass and did a wonderful job of cleaning up after the job was complete. Carlos went over every detail along the way and his crew was VERY friendly and they never stopped working the 8 plus hours they were here. Real TEAMWORK! All I can say is THANKS!

Very rarely do I find cause to leave a review, but in this instance I felt a need to do so.I hired Greater Pitt Tree Service to handle a particularly tricky tree removal, and was highly impressed with the level of professionalism that I witnessed.Ive hired tree services in the past for removals, only to have my yard look like a battlefield afterwards. Not so this time. To be honest, aside from the missing tree, there was no real evidence they had ever been there, despite the heavy equipment that was brought in for the job. I quite literally had no clean up to do afterwards.Overall, the staff was friendly, arrived promptly on time, and there no surprises to be had from start to finish. I definitely will be hiring them for further work in the future.

Extremely pleased with the entire experience ...from meeting the estimator who did the estimate to the crew who did the job. Fair Pricing. Very speedy service. It was a matter of a week or so from estimate to job completion. Had an old weeping cherry removed and had a very large tree which was very close to our front door/house removed. To take the large tree down they had to bring their machines across our front lawn. They were masters at protecting our lawn . Not one blade of grass damaged. The men taking down the trees are truly skilled experts. The crew grinding the stumps was very attentive to not causing any damage to the lawn or beds. Thorough clean up of our property and the street after job completion. I have already recommended Greater Pitt Tree to two of my neighbors. I would definitely hire them again!

Fast Service, Careful work, thorough clean up! I have an 90 yr old wood house that had a huge silver maple in the front yard. Unfortunately it was time to get it taken down before it fell down. It was a matter of just a few days from estimate to job completion...IN THE MIDDLE OF WINTER! The tree was in the front yard but, behind a fence, where two neighbors cars needed moved (in spite of me leaving notes on their cars the day before). This team of folks even worked with the neighbors...one of whom needed help pushing his broken down truck out of the way. Great folks...great work on a challenging job and they even tried to get most of the sawdust out of a snow covered front yard to the point that I had to tell them to stop, they had done enough. I cannot recommend them enough. My job was a difficult one that they handled with care.

We had 3 large pine trees that were struck by lightning and I called Greater Pitt Tree Service to come and give me a price. They were there the next day with a very fair price and we awarded them the job. Carlos the owner told me exactly when he was going to be there and his crew showed up in full force. The equipment was beautiful the workers were all wearing hard hats and very visible clothing. The men that performed the work were extremely nice and very knowledgeable. My wife and I were so impressed by the workers, it was like watching a well oiled machine. Everyone knew their job and did it to perfection. The cleanup was impeccable and you didn't even know they were there when they were done. If anyone needs tree work done and you don't call this company you are doing yourself a disservice. Highly recommend, 5 star company all the way around. Can't say enough great things about Greater Pitt Tree Service.

This crew is very talented, well-equipped, well-trained, and were able to offer a reasonable price. Details to follow. I hired this crew to remove 4 large trees that were directly between two sets of power lines and 3 large trees that were dangerously hanging over my roof. Since I talked with them at the Home Show which closed early for the pandemic, they offered me a significant discount to motivate me to book the job and help out with lost customers. This ended up being a spectacle of an operation, with cranes, lifts, woodchippers, trucks, and 'gophers', all over my property as well as the neighbor's driveway. I was out of town while they did everything, so I missed the majority of the show, but was sent a number of pictures of the progress throughout the day, and it looked very impressive. After all was said and done, they accomplished everything described in the proposal/contract, cleaned up the mess very well, left very few minor ruts in the yard, and I am very happy with the results. The minor issues that caused me to give a 4 star rather than 5 star review were discussed with the owner and handled. Thanks, guys!

Absolutely wonderful company. My son and I were listening to Christmas music on the radio this winter and heard a spot for Greater Pitt Tree Service. In it, they said they cut trees down for WWII Veterans for free. I immediately thought of my grandfather who was in need of just such a service, so I called them up and asked them about removing the 3 trees, with only a glimmer of hope that he'd get at least one cut down for free. The trees were large and they were dead and/or diseased and the estimates he had received from other companies were in the thousands and thousands of dollars. A man from the company came out to do an estimate at my grandfathers house and much to our disbelief told us that they would be able to cut ALL of THREE of the trees down for FREE. They graciously thanked him for HIS service and said it was the least they could do for HIM. I couldn't believe my ears and almost cried! It was the best Christmas present my grandfather could have received. The trees were removed today and the company did a stellar job with a crew of 8 people (at least) tackling the job + clean up in just a few hours. The craziest part? KDKA news came out to interview my grandfather and the company. I hope everyone who sees this today on the news (and this review!) brings this wonderful company many customers. They deserve it!
