I been usin' this company for years, but dang, my grass looks awful after their last treatment. They said it's 'cause of the drought, bad soil, and wrong seed. I get the drought part, but I don't get why my soil is so bad when everyone else's lawn is doin' fine with the same soil. I reckon I shoulda asked 'em 'bout the seed they used when I reseeded my lawn a few years back. The company didn't give me good service, and I ain't happy with how they tried to fix the problem.

This company drives by and puts a flag in your yard and puts no treatment and sends you a bill. I was once home and seen this happen. I never leave reviews but the community needs to know about their dishonesty. If you call their office, Crystal is very unprofessional and rude. I tried politely canceling my service and they showed up anyway even in the snow putting a flag in the snow and billing me still even AFTER I spoke to them numerous times canceling my service. I’m not sure applying lawn treatment when the yard is completely covered in snow is effective anyway or fair to bill to even a customer who has requested services. I never seen anyone apply treatments, only putting a flag. I’d find someone else who is honest.

We been using Grass Master, Inc. for a long time and we was happy with them until they started sending out this guy who didn't do a good job. The first treatment this year didn't work at all. Our yard was still full of weeds from last year, like a whole bunch of 'em. We had to kill crab and nut grass and redo everything. We waited until the second treatment to talk to the guy who does the service. When he finally came, we was so happy 'cause it was our usual guy. I called the company to let 'em know that the first treatment didn't work, but we was gonna keep using 'em 'cause our usual guy was back. And we didn't think we should have to pay for that first treatment 'cause it was so bad. But then they called us back and said they couldn't send our guy back and they couldn't service us no more. And on top of that, they wanted us to pay for that lousy first treatment. Can you believe it? We been loyal customers for years and this is how they treat us. It's just terrible.

Grass Master came and did up my lawn at the house I sold. Before, I'd pay the yearly fee to keep the contract going. But this time, I didn't renew it. Grass Master keeps saying the contract automatically renews. The issue is, their contract is super hard to find and the bill never mentions anything about it renewing on its own.

This is my second time reporting this to you. Grass Master, Inc. applied fertilizer without my approval on December 2. I declined their first application but accepted the second one. However, I refused the next two applications. They contacted me by phone for the September application and I agreed. A month later, I received their 2021 schedule in the mail. I assumed they were done for the year. However, I noticed their flag in my yard indicating that they had applied fertilizer without my approval. I called them and they said they had tried to contact me by phone, but the line was busy. I don't consider that a proper contact. I explained that I thought they were finished in October since it's winter now. What if there's snow on the ground? At that point, I refused to pay. They continue to send me bills and even sent my account to a collection agency in Canton.

On April 12, 2022, Grass Master sprayed our lawn with a chemical application that we didn't authorize or know about. I only found out because of the flag they stuck in our lawn and the bill they left on our front door. If I had known they were coming, I would have stopped them. If they had told us beforehand, I would have said no. They didn't even try to let us know beforehand. I have pets and health problems, so I don't use chemicals on our lawn. I won't pay for something I didn't agree to or ask for, and if this causes any health problems, I'll take action against this company.

On 4/18/22, Grass Master, Inc. went ahead and sprayed some chemicals on our property without even asking us. They didn't even bother to tell us what chemicals they used or how much of it they sprayed. They just went ahead and sprayed it all over our lawn, garden beds, and even on our kids' play equipment (the ninja line). Luckily, we caught them in the act and stopped them.

When we called Grass Master to complain about this, they told us that the previous owner of the property had hired them for services in 2021, and apparently, their services automatically renew without any checks to confirm if the property ownership has changed. According to them, they have disclosed this information in documents that supposedly comply with Ohio Consumer law. But guess what? I couldn't find any of these documents on their website, and you can't access them without having an account.

It's really frustrating that Grass Master thinks they can just do whatever they want without any accountability. They should have at least asked for our permission before spraying chemicals all over our property. And if they claim to have disclosed everything properly, they should make sure that anyone can access those documents without needing an account. It's just not right.

Overall, I'm really disappointed with Grass Master's lack of professionalism and disregard for our property. I would not recommend their services to anyone.

I been usin' Grass Master for lawn chemicals for like 8-10 years. I moved from my home in *** in March and I passed their info to the new owners to keep or stop the service. In the spring, they did the first application and billed me for it. I told 'em I don't live there no more and I didn't agree to keep the service in 2021, so I ain't payin' the bill. But they keep sendin' me bills every month. Today they said they gonna report it to credit bureaus. I been arguin' 'bout this bill and I been tellin' 'em from the start that I ain't payin' it. I was a loyal customer for years and I don't get why they treatin' me like this. Last week, after I argued 'bout the bill again, they emailed me sayin' they a utility and they got the right to bill like that. Sounds like they makin' a big deal outta bein' a business. I don't get why they can't just drop the charge for one application when I been a good customer for years. And why they gotta threaten me like this? Need help, thanks!

GrassMaster came to fertilize our lawn. Right after the second treatment (May 6), all the grass turned brown and our yard looked awful. We called to complain and they said a supervisor would come to check it out. I don't know if a supervisor actually came because nobody contacted me. Instead, the same guy who did the treatment came back on June 5 to put lime on our lawn. They said he used too much fertilizer before, which made the grass turn brown. They basically messed up all the work I did on my lawn before they treated it. We paid for the first treatment, but we don't think we should pay for the one that ruined the grass. They keep sending us the bill and we tried to explain this in a letter and even called, but we still get a bill. It's only $30, but we shouldn't have to pay for something that wasn't done right when they admitted they used too much fertilizer. It's the principle of it. They're supposed to be professionals. We were doing a better job before we hired them. We'll never use them again!

I bought 6 fertilizer applications from Grass Master, Inc. on May 6th. I paid $294.80 for these 6 applications, which included the Early Spring Deluxe, Late Spring Deluxe, Early Summer Deluxe, Late Summer Deluxe, Early Fall Deluxe, and Late Fall Deluxe. Grass Master's claim was that if I paid upfront and in full, I would receive a 6th application for free. However, they did not provide me with the 6th application as promised. My purchase clearly stated that I would receive 6 applications, so it is their responsibility to fulfill that. Even if the 6th application is free, I should still receive it because it is part of my purchase. If I had known that I wouldn't be getting all 6 applications, I wouldn't have agreed to the deal in May. I have received multiple emails from Grass Master stating that "your promo deal was with pre-paying for 5 applications, you would receive the 6th one complimentary." They never informed me through email, call, or letter that they couldn't provide the last application. I believe this is a scam to save their own materials. Grass Master did not make any effort to resolve the issue. They didn't offer to make it right by giving me a discount for 2022, and they refused to refund me for the missed application. Additionally, Grass Master told me that I couldn't dispute this with my credit card company, but if I wanted to cancel my service for 2022, I would need to call their office. That sounds like a contract to me. I feel like this is false advertising and a terrible way to treat a customer who has paid for their services. My account number with Grass Master is ***.

I left messages with different numbers in my phone before the season started, trying to cancel my services for this year. I switched to another company because I wasn't happy with Grass Master. But they still put down fertilizer on my lawn, even though I had already had it done. Then they kept calling and bothering me. Crystal called me a liar and said I couldn't have cancelled. She kept calling and emailing me, saying I owed $41.00 for the first application and that she would send it to collections. She kept insisting that their system would have received the cancellation, but she kept calling me a liar. Crystal said my account automatically renews for next year, even if I don't agree or sign up. I think that's bad business practice. Regardless of whether they got the cancellation message or not, I was never satisfied as a paying customer. They kept calling and emailing me, saying I'm delusional and a liar. They came onto my property without my permission and sprayed dangerous chemicals on my lawn over $41.00. It's ridiculous and unreasonable harassment. I have expressed my dissatisfaction many times, but they never apologize or try to fix the problem. They don't seem to care about customer satisfaction in their business.
