i was on to them when i tried to make a purchase. and they gave to reasons why i could not buy.
I asked for there merchant account number so i could confirm they had a Legit PDQ machine. There arrogance made me question the whole business.
I set up an account and inputted random numbers for the credit card and banking details. I did this 3 times using different information. Each account came back with the same replies. Send tickets to portland street. I went to portland street which is a 2 hour 30 min drive to check on the address. I had no financial loss but I wanted to catch the ### out. When I arrived the house looked dodgy with postboxes outside and the flat i was asked to send the tickets to the postbox was damaged. I guess this is so the african living there could deny any allegations. I reported all my findings to the police crime reference chs5342/17may2011 and they still have not got back to me. email me at divertedmail@me.com

guys i complained to the local police station to the address portland road. It seems nothing was done about it so i would seek compensation from the crime bureau. I can be emailed on divertedmail@me.com
I will provide a statement that i called about this scam. I investigated myself and reported all my finds to the police and was assured a investigation would be opened and a mail diverted would be placed on the address. trust me you can complain and be compensated. Good luck

Have any of you noticed that the addresses have been removed from the website? there are only contact numbers now?! They have given me the bulls**it excuse that thye people who bought my tickets were denied entry! lying ###...and NOT MY PROBLEM, that is a risk you take when you buy the tickets as they were all logged to the person who bought them in the 1st place.

Hi Guys,

We can contact wembley stadium and they can confirm our tickets entered. But what would this prove, we all know that GTM is a complete scam, they never had any intention of paying. Even saying I have confirmation my buyer entered is not going to make them pay you £1000's is it? There scammers plain and simple! Find me one person that has sold on GTM and have been paid?

We need to move onto Plan B. I know many of us did not react strongly about legal action / The Police as we held the slimest of belief that this company would come good today and we might see progress on payment. I am afraid we were wrong and its now time to act. I am willing to bet almost all of us are going to be told either that the buyer did not get the tickets or they were refused entry

@mabdulhussein: how did you manage to get in contact with your buyer?

Is there any other way we could check if the tickets were actually used?

I'll be going to the police tomorrow morning to explain them the situation.

why this comany continue to keep putting out emails is beyond me ... No stadium would ever ask every person to have proof of purchase becuase you just wouldnt take it with you ... so dont believe that one ... we should ask why we had to send them to same address etc, no way the white family would really want 50 tickets ... guys do not believe this .. keep fighting ... all remember to register the fraud with police the more people that do it ... the better

Hi Guys,

GTM have played there hand. They are un-contactable today and I think we all know why. If they were a major reputable company selling all those tickets for all those events would they not be answering the telephone!

Lets not sit on our hands, I am based in London, who else would like to meet and take this up further? Our only next step is legal action.

Someone had a name and a registered address in the UK. Please can you post that onto the board?

We are not going to get a penny unless we act. Everyone one of us are going to be told either that the person who we sold tickets to could not enter / or did not receive the tickets. Its the only excuse that can be used to not pay us!

Has anyone received a penny from GTM. I am willing to bet out of all the people that have sold tickets, not a single one of them have received any money...and they never will. It was one big SCAM!

We are writing to you concerning the tickets you supplied through the site for the Champions League Final.

Some checks were carried out at the stadium entrance by UEFA and the clients were asked where they purchased the tickets from and to provide their Proof of Purchase. When they declared they purchased them online through Global Ticket Market they were refused entry. UEFA recorded all the ticket details and have contacted us regarding who sold the tickets through the site.

Unfortunately, due to the clients not being granted entry to the stadium they have actioned a Chargeback against their credit card to recall their money. Therefore, we do not have the funds available to pay you nor did we receive any commission on the transactions.

Of course we are disputing the situation with the buyer, and will update you if we secure any funds from them.

We sincerely apologise for this situation.

Global Ticket Market

Yes, I think the chances of them paying of their own volition is getting slimmer by the day. I think this scam was helped by all the press publicity they got ahead of the match.

twinkle twinkle technically its not illegal to sell tickets from Spain and that is what we were doing. Secondly, why shouldnt you profit from tickets? Its rediculous, name something else that you can buy legally but its illegal to sell? We were shrewd enough to buy the tickets when we did so why shouldnt we make money from it. Theres buyers who would clearly pay the money and basic economics, supply and demand. Also everyone goes on about drugs being legalised and that taking away the criminal element. Well they've had something that was legal and made it illegal opening the whole thing up to the criminal element, with potential devastating effects. If we could legally sell them through '''reliable sources''' then they could do checks on the people who were buying them, this was they have no idea who's attending the game. Common sense anyone? The people they should come down hardest on are the con men and lock anyone who deliberately deceives others for a good stretch. Theres too many people who just stand by and let people rob them in every walk of life. The police arent interested, the law is an ###, and its left with the people picking up the pieces.

Sorry TwinkleTwinkle but I think your attitude towards this situation is extremely judgmental without knowing the full reasons of why peope tried to sell tickets through GTM. I was going to sell two tickets but backed out at the last minute after reading the comments on this site. I was allured by the price being promised for tickets but not out of greed but because has someone with children who is struggling to keep a roof over their heads the money promised would have paid off my mortgage arrears and secured their home. You have no right to attack anyone for their actions without knowing facts about them first and who the hell do you think you are to tell people they now pay the price for their greedy actions! People like you obviously have no money worries which is a luxury that a lot of hard working people like me do not have in this financial climate. Even if our actions were illegal that still does not mean that these people should be able to con people out of goods that they then refuse to pay for, which of these actions is more illegal? Greed may have been a factor in some people selling but for those of us who needed our home more than a couple of tickets and saw a way of doing that what has happened is a disgrace. So please get your facts correct and try to have a little bit of empathy before you start to have a go at something that in reality is absolutely NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!

Hi All,

This is our checklist - Lets all do our part here, if theres more pls give it a number and add on. Lets keep it to under 10 things each of us can do!

1. Contact your local police - http://www.police.uk/ - Explain what happened, the more details the better, names, dates, times, e-mails - This was a major theft of our belongings, report it to the police.
2. Report to the Serious Fraud Office - https://report.sfo.gov.uk/providing-information-to-the-sfo.aspx - Again as much details as possible.
3. Report to Action Fraud - http://www.actionfraud.org.uk/report_fraud
4. Report to the Citizens Advice Bureau - http://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/
5. Report to http://www.canyoutrustthem.com/

I think we are all eager for justice, we can sit back and expect someone else to do it but when nothing happens who will you blame? Or we all can take the initative and do the above 5 things, maybe more!

The company has said to someone that the person who bought the tickets was refused entry, if we sold anyone tickets that were doggy, would we be on this board, contacting the police, action fraud etc etc? If these claims are true then a legitimate company would welcome any action against us!

I feel sorry for you guys but what you have done is illegal in this country, proberly for pretty much the same reasons your now complaining about, think about it, you have sold what was properly an expensive ticket to some random person on the internet who has promised you xK would you sell said same ticket to some random guy in street who promised you xK on Monday. And now he is making excuses not to pay you, i hate ticket toutes with a passion, if you have bought a ticket for an event and find for some reason you cant go then sell the ticket via friends etc but you have all tried to be greedy and make money by dealing with a crook and are now paying the price.

This is the cheapest excuse that they are going to use on every single one of us. Do not fall for it. it is completely ridiculous. If the person that actually bought the ticket for whatever reason lost it, that does not mean you should not receive your money. This is just plain stupid. We did everything as instructed on our part and this is just an excuse they give to buy more time.

Hi All,

It sounds like they are going to give that BS excuse to everyone. So are they saying that every person that purchased tickets via the GTM website was refused entry? Seems very strange!

* Has anyone actually been paid?
* Anyone else call them today - What did they say?

Even if the person was refused entry that has nothing to do with you. You know that your ticket is valid and that this is just an excuse they are using to prevent you claiming your money. So what if the person lost the ticket after he purchased it from you? That is his problem, not yours! You did everything from your part as instructed. This is the most pathetic excuse i have ever listened to. Do not fall for it.

I sold a ticket and waited for their answer patiently: I did get the "we will call you to get your bank details today" and the "the acount dpt is very busy".
Today I could reach them on the phone and told me that the person I sold the ticket to, was refused entry and that I am not getting my £3k.
I didnt send my ticket to portland, I sent it to some guy called Stephen Craddock at Herts Letchworth
I am still waiting for them to call me back with more details...

Dear Seller,

Thank you for your email.
We are currently working through all the orders for the Champions League Final. Due to the high level of people refused entry, we are conducting checks to ensure all our clients who purchased tickets from the Sellers were granted entry.

We are requesting that sellers forward us copies of their Proof Of Purchase for the tickets. Once this is received and validated the Accounts department will contact you regarding your payment.

Hi All,

1. http://www.police.uk/ - Any local police should be fine - give them all details, names, times, bank a/c details for there lloyds a/c, and explain fully how your tickets were stolen by GTM! Make sure you get a case reference number or crime ref number!
2. http://www.actionfraud.org.uk/report_fraud - Again full details.
3. https://report.sfo.gov.uk/providing-information-to-the-sfo.aspx - (Serious Fraud Office)
4. http://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/
5. Once we find them we should consider a Class Action Lawsuit

Thats what I can think of for now, pls add more ppl - just give it a number, but lets try and keep it to under 10.

Class action cases are cases in which a group of people collectively bring a claim to court - they are historically very much an American phenomenon. There are great advantages to this type of action, as it saves costs and increases the efficiency of the legal system; reducing the cost of litigation. As a result of the reduction in costs, more people are able to take part in the class action, including people who would otherwise be unable to bring actions because it would not be financially viable.

I got scammed as well as a seller of 2 CL Final tickets.
I followed the advice on this message board and filed a complaint with www.actionfraud.org.uk by calling their helpline [protected]).
I encourage everyone to do the same (it is quite easy and only takes about 15 minutes). The more people that file a claim and the more details we can gather, the better the chances that the police will track the b.stards down.
For you info, I was asked to post my tickets to the following person and address:
Michael Paramasivan
84 A Portland Road
