I do not typically leave negative reviews, but I would like to share my experience with General RV in Canton, Ohio.
I purchased a 2013 45-foot diesel pusher from this location. At the time of delivery, I observed three rock chips in the windshield, and the sales manager identified a fourth. He assured me that Safelite would repair the windshield at my home.
After taking the RV home, I contacted Safelite and several other companies, only to learn that none would repair a windshield with more than three chips. As a result, I had to address the issue independently.
A friend who specializes in windshield repair was able to fix all four chips at a reasonable cost. General RV had agreed to reimburse me, so I provided the necessary details to my salesperson, but I did not receive a response. I then contacted customer service, who indicated they would follow up with management; however, I have not received any further communication.
My request was reasonable, and I even offered to accept a parts credit instead of direct reimbursement. At this point, I am simply seeking reimbursement.
While the RV itself has performed well, the post-sale customer service has been disappointing. It appears that once the sale is completed, customer concerns are no longer given priority.
Recommendation: Only buy here if you think you will never need anything again form them.
