I have a 2025 Coachman Forrester and the whole underside is falloff rust. The drive train looks like they pulled it from a junk yard with all of the rust. On 7/30/2025 I went to General RV in Elizabethtown and asked about the update on my rust issue. I found out that the pictures were never sent to Coachman. Then they told me they have 9 hours set aside to do the work. There is no way that they will be able to remove rusted bolts, replace plates that have rusted through and either sand blast or grind down the rusted areas due to the amount of rust and prime and give a prover rust coat paint job in 9 hours. This undercarriage was never painted originally. I have a 10 year old GMC pick up that the undercarriage is still black from the paint. I personally feel that this RV should be replaced with a new one or they should not only do the undercarriage properly which is probably 2 men working 8 hours shifts for 3 days with bolts removed, sand blasted and painted before being put back on. I am a Disabled Veteran and feel like I am being given a run around with my problem. I need help and someone who actually cares to help me with my problem and can give me proper advice as to what steps I can take. We called Coachman and they have not returned our calls.
Claimed loss: time, money, vacation time, loss of use and depreciation value of RV and a much shorter life span due to the amount of rust. I should not see any rust at this age of any vehicle
Desired outcome: Replace the RV with a new one or full undercarriage proper sand, prep and paint. 9 hours will not cover the amount of work that needs to be done.
