I bought my Garmin watch in Thailand but live in China. After just 2 months, the watch stopped working — and the Garmin shop in China told me the warranty wouldn't be honored there. I had to fly back to Thailand to get a replacement, and after long fights on the phone with customer service, they agreed that the watch was defective and replace it with what seemed an old watch from a shop, no new box or anything, and they even changed the straps to the ones from the old watch that broke. Later, when the new one broke, the Garmin shop in China said repairs were "too expensive" as the watch was from Thailand, and after going back to Thailand, they said it would take "too many days," longer than our week stay. Garmin's customer service has been unhelpful, inflexible, and frustrating from the very start. I regret buying Garmin and don't recommend them.
Recommendation: Do not purchase Garmin!
