I have lodged a claim on 07.12.2018 at edgars wonderpark - I lost my cell phone and I was asked to pay excess fee of R500.00 of which I paid on 18.12.2018 . I have been calling finrite daily but the consultants there are not helpful at all and don't keep their promises . The last person I spoke to on 21.12.2018 was Thuso Mashego @ 14:29 who promised to call me back within an hour with feedback up to now I am still waiting . I begged to be transferred to their placements dept or to speak to a team leader but all consultants I spoke to refuse to transfer my call, they all say someone will phone me back . On the 31st dec 2018 cell insurance subscriptions was debited but I still have not receive a phone or a courtesy call to keep me updated of the progress of my claim . I am very disappointed with the service I receive from finrite consultants and I am now approaching a month without positive feedback or a cellphone . My details are as follows:

I reported my phone stolen on the 28th of August 2018. its now been more then a month and i havent reseved any feedback on my claim. i still pay for my insurance but have no phone . i phoned c surance today again they told me it might tke up to 30 days to process my claim its been 30 days already now they say i must phone back in 14 days.

I have called more than 5 times today. They are answering but no one is talking. The only thing I can is background voices. I am so freaken frustrated. I have also sent an email and no one is bothering to respond. What makes me angry is I'm using airtime to call this number and they seem to be having personal conversations at the back. I have insurance from Game for insurance on a Samsung cellphone. Every month my premium is deducted. I reported my phone as broken between April and May 2018.
I went to Game at Greenacres and spoke to Hollard Insurance at the Game store the day after my phone broke. They contacted me almost a month later for a copy of my ID. I emailed my ID to them 3 times but they refuse to acknowledge receipt of these emails. For 5 months I am still paying insurance for a phone which I cannot use.
I have noted on the internet that there are a large number of complaints regarding the service of Hollard and Finite.
I need my phone fixed. I need the insurance cancelled. I am going to lodge many complaints via different websites and social media until I get results.
This is totally unacceptable. Many people are having the same bad service as I am. I am paying for something I have service I have not received and still paying for an insurance of which the item insured is no longer usable.

I switched over from Vodacom last year.
Ever since I purchased my Galaxy S8+, I experienced problems with my monthly Insurance Premium.
In December we managed to sort out the problem, but it continues.
After numerous complaints to both companies the double premium became a single premium and the problem continues monthly.
I should be paying R242 and I'm paying R440?
This now from Jan to August 2018 - If not resolved, I will have to consider cancelling my Insurance

I am very disappointed with the service I received from Edgars and Finrite. I insured a P9 lite in Dec 2016. My phone recently got stolen and visited a nearest Edgars store; I was very alarmed when the sales consultant told me that I was over insured; I learned that they were charging me a premium for a cell phone band between R5000 - R8000 while my P9 lite was never above R5000. I immediately enquired about the way forward in terms of being refunded for the overcharged premiums as it also had an impact on the access fee that I had to pay. The sales consultant in Edgars Parow contacted the manager in Zevenwatch mall to inform him about my complaint however he didn't seem to want to take any ownership whatsoever, he advised that there was nothing he could do. I then contacted Finrite and spoke to a very rude agent( Tshepo Skamane) and TL( Neli Zicha) if that is her correct name. They told me that it would take 7 - 21 days for them to come back to me, imagine! I took the cover for a peace of mind should something happen, on the contrary it's been a nightmare. All I want now is the refund for the overcharged premiums, the reduced access fee of what I would have paid on the correct band. I do not even want to go into details about the amount of inconvenience and losses I went through so 7 - 21 days will not work for me. I need this sorted ASAP. Can someone competent contact me to resolve the query.

cell phone repair via edgars, no feedback since august 2017, phone still not repaired
My son's cell phone screen broke and it has a 1 x free screen repair. We gave the phone in at Edgars Menlyn to repair via finrite in August 2017.
Firstly finrite contacted my son and said the courier company lost the phone.
After a few weeks past I received a sms that stated the claim has been placed on hold due to outstanding documents. After contacting the number provided several times and without any help, I could figure out they require a previous slip for the phone's speaker being repaired, motherboard changed, and finrite requires that slip for the imei number changed.
I send already 10 mails with the slip provided to finrite repairs and Edgars to no receive no feedback if the phone will ever be repaired.

On the 2 march 2018, when I get home at about 18:45 I find out that my phone is missing, I tried to call it but it goes to oicemail, then I told myself that maybe I left it at work. The following day when I went to work, the first thing for me was to look for my phone and I couldn't find it. On sunday go to repoet the phone at the police station and then I go to telkom store at cresta shopping mall and there ialso make a sim-swap. On monday 5 march 2018 I email the affidavit, copy of my id to finrite insurance. Two days later I phone and they said to me they are waiting for the usage from telkom. Each time I phone they always says they are waiting for usage from telkom. Even today they are still waiting for that usage. For how long must I wait? Its been 7 weeks now waiting for a phone

I'm very disappointed by the company & the insurance company after I have sent an email and received no feedback for more than 7days working days. I would like the company to do something about my query and would gladly appreciate feedback. I will be forwarding a complain through to hellopeter and demand Edcon to replace the phone that Finrite has damaged after being sent twice for repairs, I will not be accepting the damaged phone after numerous attempts to get assistance from Finrite.

About 2 months ago I called to cancel my cellphone insurance on one phone and add insurance for a different phone. I was told that I would get a phone call/email from Finrite to confirm my request. No acknowledgement of my request has been received verbally or electronically. Ive been calling and calling and no one answers. I've been holding on the line for 10min to 30mins when I call. This is the worst service I ever received from an insurance company. I would never in my life recommend anyone to take out insurance with you. its been 7 days since I paid the money in for my cell phone and still haven't received my phone after calling more than 10 times the agent calls me today to confirm payment. after I confirmed delivery and payment with an agent last week. We have been busy with this claim since the 20 of October already. its sickening actually. calls get dropped on your end and no calls back.

Company my phone was stolen on the 13october 2017 reported the case and till today 3jan 2018 I am still waiting. Called them soooo many times for feed back they even took the matter to the under righters and they did that twice. And every time I call for feedback the consultants tell me they cant do anything but wait for a response. I paid everything month why should I wait for so long. My case reference number is: tc004431 please I cant wait any longer I dont have a phone and I only insured my phone because if things like having my phone stolen I should be assited in days and not in months. I am thinking of taking this further like contacting the ceo or going as far as suing this company. I logged a claim for cellphone which was robbed in march, and I submitted all the necessary documentation that was required, I waited and evertime I called they promise to get back to me, then in august I phoned again and I was told to pay an acess fee of r255, which I did the same day and a week later I phoned again, and was ask to make a choice of the cellphone and provide the delivery address and and should wait for 5 to 7 working days for delivery, after two weeks of waiting, iphoned again and then I was told that I should pay another r400 and some rands which I told them that I was told to pay r255 which idis, and to be told now to pay an additional amount is misleading because ipaid what iwas told to pay, and they confrmed the receipt and promise to deliver, then the consultant iaspoke to said he was going to find out from senior and investigate the matter and get back to me, but they didnt and everytime iphone I am told they will get back to me. Now it is october and they continue to deduct the montlhy premium for the phone every month.
I think this is day light robbery, what I am waitng for is the cellphone which I paid access fee for.

I put a claim for my cellphone that I have lost, , , I was told to pay an excess fee of R200 which I did pay sameday. I got an sms stating they received my excess fee, , I must go to Jet Stores with my ID and Jet Store card to get a replacement phone, when I arrived at the Store I was told to wait for a voucher number cause they cannot give me the phone without it., , Nobody is telling me how many days must I wait for this voucher number, , I have been a Jet customer for more than 15 years and I never get disappointed like this. I have been paying insurance for 4 years for the phone I lost. PLEASE HELP
This finrite is so pathetic i have logged a claim on the 19 march 2018 still waiting for my cell phone which was taken from me on my way from work with gun men. i try to call them in numerous occasion to stress out the urgency of this issue because my cell phone is one of my biggest tool i use to generate income. These people have told me about their backlog, and later after 2 weeks i was told that they have technical issues in their process to assist me. they don't even bother to updates with regards to the way forward on the matter. who cares about their internal issues, i am not interested in their incompetency i just need my device. i requested all our records so i can take this matter forward i am still waiting for their email. I WILL SUE THIS USELESS COMPANY they are scamming people, how can they start business without a proper strategy and enough capital to sustain the organisation. They don't even have the offices I want to visit them, there are no way to be found.

I bought a Hi-Sense cellphone from Game Sanlam Centre Pinetown in September 2016. I was persuaded to have it insured which I did.in May 2017 it fell down and the screen cracked. when I went to Game no one was willing to help me, I was asked to lodge a claim myself. supprisingly I was told that Game has got nothing to do with Cellphone insurance and the lady that persuaded me to by insurance was no where to be found. I was advised to have a look at the invoice and other paper that were given to me after I bought the Phone, which I did. I phoned [protected] and I was asked question which I answered, but unfortunately, my phone was picked up on the 29th of June by Ram Couriers. supprisingly till to day I have not received my phone. After enquiring about my phone I was asked to pay R150.00 which I was told it was an access. I payed that access R150.00 but now I have been trying to get my phone but my all my attemps are in vain. I have been subjected in quite a number of problems due to this delay such that I am no more interested in this insurance. kindly bring back my phone, I will find someone else who can repair it but importantly there are very important recordings that I need from that phone. I have already decided to by a new phone. No one can be without a phone for such a long time If I knew, I would have not fallen into a trap of associating my self with this Insurance.

I am utterly disgusted with your company and the service you provide. You employ rude and very incompetent staff who are of no help ever. They provide incorrect information to your customers ( who may I remind you, pay their insurance every month). You are an insurance but you cannot provide any service when a claim is logged. I have checked and seen nothing but complaints on all forms of social media about your company.
I have spoken to multiple agents including a team leader Andile Khonazi who made myself and my husband out to be liars, she then gets the call centre agents to call us back stating she never mentioned any of this to us.
My complaint is that the excess on my phone was advised to me telephonically by one of your call centre staff stating its R750.00. I THEN PAID THIS AMOUNT. A week later they say its R1000.00, I have no problem with this but its not my problem when your staff make an error by giving incorrect information to your clients. The team leader Andile then listened to the call recording and called us back advising that the fault is with the agent who will be liable for the R250.00. I then called back the following day to confirm when will I be receiving my phone, but the agent instead tells me the team leader advised they never said this.
So what I want is every telephone call to and from your company, I will not accept being called a liar from your staff. If the team leader had no authority to say this then she shouldn't have.
I WANT AN URGENT CALL BACK NOT FROM YOUR CALL CENTRE STAFF OR A TEAM LEADER BECAUSE IT IS CLEAR THAT THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING.

I recently put in a claim through Edgars when my phone was stolen, I submitted all the documentation which finrite required and they committed themselves to deposit the money from the claim three weeks ago and today I am still waiting for the payment. I have spoken to 10 consultants and 2 team leaders who made commitments which have still not been fulfilled. it's unbelievable the amount of hassle I have been put through and still without any success.
I will not recommend this company to anyone, the way they treat their customers is shocking.

Finrite is a rip off insurance that doesn't deliver .I have handed my phone in for repairs and I used this insurance for the first time of its life and its been with them for more then a week now.I was told by the manager of the jet store in Plettenberg Bay that my phone has been repaired successfully and that was on Friday 7th of September 2018 and then I phoned the finrite call centre and the lady I spoke to told me that my phone was on its way with Ram courier services.I then went to the jet store on monday the 10th of september and they told me the phone has not arrived and that I had to come back the following day.I went back on the 11th of september and then they still didn't have the phone.The staff tried to phone the finrite call centre and she got through to someone very incompetent who she spoke to and didn't know how to help her and then she put her on hold for 15 mins and then I told her to end the call and then I left.I then phoned the call centre myself and then my call was answered and then I could hear talking in the background but nobody spoke to me and then the call was just dropped.I then phoned back and then my call was answered by a very incompetent woman who put me on hold for 10mins and then she came back and told me that they were trying to get a hold of me to confirm the jet stores address for them to send the phone to them and that I find very weird because Ram courier company picked it up from the jet store so they can't tell me they don't have it.I think that was just a feeble excuse for someone's incompetence. How can they confirm the address with me? They supposed to call the store not me .So I think the Plett Jet store and finrite is unprofessional for not following this up.This is very pathetic service and I have been 2 years with this [censored] insurance.I want answers

My dad passed away in March 2018 I called them as I have a policy with them and was informed that my policy no longer stands. 4 months later I finally get a statement for Ackermans an see that I've been billed for a policy I was told no longer stands. Then when I call to find out I was then informed my policy is active an I could still claim. A form was emailed to me an I filled it in. For 3 weeks of me calling an querying I was later told that finrite has processed my claim they awaiting on hollard to pay it out. After a further 4 days I called back to find out what is the delay I was then informed my policy no longer stands again.. So I asked the million dollar question so why I'm I paying for it. Them I further went to ask your say that all calls are recorded for quality monitoring purposes in March when I called I was told my policy no longer stands I informed them of my dad's passing. Why will I need it after his no longer here. I was then informed my policy was reenstated. So I asked mandala the superviser at finrite by who an with who's authority no one could answer me. To date I'm awaiting for my calls that I've made to finrite and Ackermans to hand to my lawyer an still no word from them. I need advise on were do I go to from here. And what do I do. Because this is a complete rip off. I was asked to submit supporting document an still had to go to the police station for an affidavit and I had to make endless calls emailing an faxing as my expense. Seriously... CAN I GET A RESPONSE FROM SOMEONE.

They are the worst company I have ever dealt with. I put my claim in for my cellphone to be repaired, I'm literally waiting for months, only for them to tell me my phone is still laying at their repair shop! They need proof of payment, of which I emailed to the whole of finrite for months! They are a disgrace
waiting since june 2016 for cell phone claim to be settled.
In May 2016 when I phoned Finrite about my husbands phone that he lost, it was insisted by Lerato that I hand the claim in at Foschini. After about two weeks they realised it wasn't through Foshini but directly through Cell C which was sent.
Numerous e-mails were sent and some were even returned as the person that was working with it, left the company.
I have since even written to Hello Peter.com where they responded in saying that they will contact us. It is now June 2017 and still nothing has been done.
I have also subsequently had to buy a new phone as this is pathetic service.
It is now nearly a month later and there has still been no response from Finrite. What does one have to do to get the service. It seems as long as they received the money, tough luck to the customer. This is so pathetic.

I received an sms two days ago say that my account will be debited with R149 for this csurnace for my phone. I have not agreed or applied for any insurance for my phone as I have my own insurance. I hope that someone from Finrite sees this as I have been on the line for two days -+ 4 hours holding and not getting through. If this money gets deducted off my account as per the date stated on the sms, I will take matters further as this is fraud!

I have logged a claim with Telkom insurance (finrite) and submitted all required documents and after paying the excess, and them confirming that they have received payment, now suddenly they have a problem with their suppliers and no one can escalate the matter because none of their supervisors are available.

I bought two phones on one contract through Telkom, on the 29th of October it happened that one of the devices purchased was stolen. On the very same day I went to one of the Telkom store for assistance to get the phone blocked, that went well and the consultant managed to do a sim swap for me. I then had to call the insurance company (Finrite) they then gave me all the details I had to have in order to go do an affidavit and open a case. On the 31st I went to the police station and did what I had to do and went to the Telkom store to submit the documents so that they can forward them to the Insurance company. The papers were forwarded the same day and was informed that I will receive a call from them. A week went by with no call at all from the insurance company, then a week later after a expecting a call the consultant from Telkom called me, requesting for the case number as the insurance people never received it, I provided the information AGAIN, on the 15th November I contacted Telkom to advise further with the query, she then provided the Finrite number as she was not winning on her side with them, she then advised that being a client MAYBE things will be handled differently, unfortunately not I used my own airtime to contact them to confirm all the necessary information the agent from the insurance promised to call me back of which never happened, I then called AGAIN to follow up I was told a different story to what was submitted to them, I then requested for the communication between them (Finrite) and Telkom to confirm if there is progress with the issue but was advised that they are not allowed to give out internal information fair enough, I asked the agent will she get in contact with me regarding the matter, the only thing she said was "we will have to wait for the head office to revert back to us, up until then we can't provide you with anything" my question was not answered I asked her AGAIN will you get back to me, she replied back "like I said we have to wait for feedback from the head office, but then if you feel like contacting us you may do that" I picked an ATTITUDE in that statement, I hung up, I then decided to go to the store the next day to follow up and was told that they still have not received feedback. What is frustrating is that, it's about 3 weeks now with no communication at all from Finrite, I have to take up my own time to call them and when you eventually call them the agents are rude. I took out insurance for cases like these, knowing that my issues will be resolved but not in this case. I have to pay my insurance fees, personally call them, take up my own time to go to one of the stores to find out how far are they with my query and up to so far what have I got from (Finrite) NOTHING... I would advise Telkom to opt for a different insurance company as Finrite is incompetent. As mentioned before I have been following up with Finrite regarding my stolen phone, until today there's no positive feedback, I'm always put on hole by Mpho for over 20mins, to get feedback everytime I call, she will then promise to call back but nothing, the manager is also VERY RUDE, I was told today that only one of my devices are insured, IMPOSSIBLE... This is one incompetent service we have in South Africa... I need my phone I'm done calling you back. I cancelled insurance cover for device from Vodacom in July - Finrite have billed me for August and tell me I must wait for the debit order to go through at the end of August, before I can get my refund.
Hell NO! - I cancelled in July - you have absolutely no right to bill me for something that I have cancelled.
What kind of organisation is this!
I handed in my phone on 29 January 2019 and haven't had any feedback. Can't get a straight answer from anyone at vodacom and does finrite actually have paople working for them because I can't get to speak to anyone. I just have to give my details every time I phone and nobody phones back!
How does one get any information on your claim?
I did everything I was asked to do for my claim to be processed, I was given a reference and bank account and a fee to deposit, I paid the fee, but was told by Karabo Lebogo that I did not pay, please help, I will provide evidence in form of pictures.
I have been loyal to them for a full year. Never missed my payment. I got robbed. Logged a claim 3 weeks down the line no response...
