Non payment of training Sessions
my name is Mohyie Taha
I'm a Freelancer Facilities Management Consultant & instructor
Cairo- Egypt
my email : [protected]@gmail.com
I signed a contract with FDB Events operations manager, Stacey yeong, for an online training program about advanced facilities
management dated 23rd and 24th of Jun 2021, I submitted 3 online sessions each day (6 sessions for the 2 days) according to the approved program subjects, I
forwarded the program materials 3 days before the event., it's agreed to pay half the fees on the first day and the other half one
month after receiving the feedback from the attendees. I sent all the information necessary to send the money but I have not
received any money according to the contract tell the moment I am writing this letter . I tried to contact the two contacts in FDB via
email and mobile messages but my phone number was blocked (I submitted all the information I have about them down.
they needed my signature on the certificates so the sent me the first payment 1o days late than the agreed date.
the 2nd payment was supposed to be sent 2 days ago and although I sent a mail a week before that to remind them of the payment, I didn't receive any reply.
they never address the instructors names so nobody can reach them and worn them before they give the event sessions, and they address the events with their employees names.
Paying instructors
FDB Events does not pay instructors when they do not feel like it. I am owed for teaching one class.
FDB Events is located in Singapore and provides training for professionals. Most of their classes are in Asia and the Middle East. They use LinkedIn to find their victims. Some of the large companies sending their employees know all about it. Their venue hotels know too. As they are based in Singapore, you would need to sue them there. I understand that they have been sued at least once.
I can be reached at Randeroid@aol.com.
Provision of training
I have worked for FDB for several years and quickly learned that they only pay when you threaten not to turn up.
However, I have been caught out by supplementary travel charges. They claim to add them to the fee but when my bank advises me of the dollar payments, they are not there. I have an increasing total of such costs going back to March 2019.
Non payment of training fee
FDB Events contacted me through LinkedIn (Mr Saruhassan) and I provided a training at Maldives in September 2017 on their behalf. As per agreement they were to pay 50% in advance, which I received, and remaining 50% after 60 days of completing the training which became due in beginning of December 2017.
To my surprise when I reached Maldives, they did not pay for the hotel where they booked my lodging boarding. I paid that on their request and promise to reimburse along with the remaining payment.
Initially Mr Saruhassan responded to my payment requests that my payment is being done by their accounts department however after that he stopped responding to the emails. I am still waiting for both.
Mr Saruhassan appears to be based in Malaysia whereas the company from their website www.fdb.com.sg seems to be based in Singapore.
I will appreciate that they pay my money and stop such unethical practices and tarnish the image of International Training Industry.
I do not know what triggered the decision however I received a surprise email from Mr Saruhassan informing about transfer of my outstanding training fee after almost one year.
Finally the issue is closed as my payment has been done.
FDB Events - non payment
In February 2018 I provided training at two separate events. Though both parties signed a contract that I would be paid 60 days after the event, early April, this has not happened. I know several others in the same position as me and would like to start a group action against FDB. FDB Events used to be known as UNI Strategic and they started their trail of...

Conducted presentations in Kuala Lumpur in January and Dubai in April. Still have not been paid for either presentation. FDB Events presently owes me 4000 EURO. which is now almost 3 months past due.
I have contacted everyone from the CEO on down to the organizational manager with no results. They keep asking for more wire transfer information... I have given them everything I have to offer from my financial institution.
Frustration level is at an all time high!
They are making it tough on everyone else because I now require upfront payment PRIOR to making any travel arrangements!
Room & airport transportation was all covered by FDB...they just won't pay me the 4000 EURO (~ $4700 USD) they owe me! I did notice today that some have left LinkedIn over the past few days.
They have made promise after promise that funds are coming, but nothing yet. I e-mailed the CEO (Stacey)...but no response. They should be banned from LinkedIn since that seems to be where they "recruit" their "prey".
I was formally Hawkeye1, but have changed my e-mail address.
I am in the same boat. They have to pay me for the training on Contract Management provided by me at Maldives in September 2017.

Sir, I messaged you on an other complaint board as Mr N and you kindly responded. I am trying to co-ordinate a group action against FDB Events and have 3 or 4 on board so far. Have you had any success in chasing FDB? Many thanks.
