European Wax Center review: Poor professional & lack of communication... July 25th 2023

It is life that employees of any establishment can run the risk of becoming ill. However, in service, the organization should inform the consumer their respective staff would not be available with a phone call, e-mail, and/or text message. The Wax Estheticians are fair to good. Unfortunately, the front desk staff, including Manager Victoria are rude and unprofessional at the Howard Beach, Queens NY location. Instead of apologizing for not giving a forewarning that my Wax Esthetician called out sick the morning of my scheduled afternoon appointment, I was greeted with I did not have an appointment. Then they chose to go back and forth with me about the validity of my scheduled appointment even with the receipt showing the date and time.

Manager Victoria should be encouraged that people can speak up for themselves even in their frustrations. She should also not assume that anyone is simply showing up just because of or without a scheduled appointment. Front desk personnel, Caless should be redirected to another task beyond the phone. Part of being a professional is to indicate who you are when calling someone's phone vs when asked who’s calling not to answer. It is not the first time dealing with poor professionalism and lack of communication at this location (Howard Beach, Queens NY). It is presented as the culture of this location. Hope cooperate looks into this…make some replacements.
