Engen Petroleum bad service

Hi
i went to Engen garage next to VW Autohaus Centurion on Lencen Ave and requested for R100 petrol and the guy who was assisting me poured R168, saw the amount through the window and asked him why that amount he said he made a mistake then started giving me attitude and that he also doesn't have money to paid that amount and i can't pay only R100 told him but it's his mistake not mine and whom can i talk to to resolve this matter inside he said no 1 can help with that issue, i went inside with him and there was a guy at the teller thought he would assist but he was useless as well told me there's nothing he can to i must arrange with the guy who was assisting. You can also refer to the footage 22:00 driving a Blue Toyota Corolla Reg: JSV 489 NW. Obviously i didn't want this amount to be deducted from his Salary but his attitude was so unprofessional and bad.

Engen Petroleum complaint about toilet for ladies

I am a regular customer filling petrol at above mentioned garage. Petrol attendants always very friendly and also very helpful. They know me very well when I drive in. But when I want to use the toilet the cashier, lady, I have to asked for the key to the toilet. I first have to pay R2.00 to be able to use this toilet.

I am asking myself why have I to pay R2.00 for that common piece of toilet paper I had to take with and when I come in there it is so filthy. Footprints against the walls, mud tracks of shoes on the floor, water on the floor. When I visit other Engen filling stations it is always neat and a pleasure to use the toilet. It is also locked, but it is for free.

Another Engen filling station in Swartgoud Street, Ridgeway, you can barely go in there. It looks like a workshop toilet. No, please I cry for a better service.

Engen Petroleum eunice, cashier at the quick shop

My family and i have been using the services of the above service station for many years. We have built a professonal and friendly relationship with the forecourt staff and we have never had any reason to complain until this evening.
As usual we filled petrol for R600 and while the petrol attendant was filling, we decided that we would take a chance with a lotto ticket. I approached the window to buy a lotto ticket, the lady who was serving at this counter was assiting customers inside the shop completing lotto cards. I stood waiting for service for +- 10 minutes. When the lady (Eunice) did come to the window, she asked me, "what are you waiting for now, talk, what is it that you want?" I was taken aback because of her tone and also her attitude. I then suggested to her, "should you not greet first because ive been waiting for so long?" Eunice then turned away and continued helping the customers that she had completed the lotto cards for. When she returned, she took my cash and gave me lotto tickets which i refused to take, saying that this is not what i requested. I refused vehemently and she took the tickets back and returned my money. It was at this point that Eunice began to verbally abuse me by using vulgar language at me and swearing my mom in her absence in isiZulu. Eunice had no idea that i am isiZulu and therefore swore the most rotten of swear words at me in the presence of many customers.
I then went out onto the forecourt and requested the dealer's contact number of which i was furnished with, i tried calling and i eventually left a voice note and sms.
Strangely, the forecourt staff were talking amongst themselves, saying how is it that some customers must wait outside the shop to be served with lotto tickets and other are given the priviledge of being served inside, because the common practice at this service station is that customers buying lotto tickets must wait at the designated window outside the shop and not inside. All spoken in isiZulu.

This sad and unfortunate decision of us wanting to buy a lotto ticket is that Eunice has brought the Engen brand into disrepute as she was acting in the capacity of Engen Petroleum. The dealer could experience a drop in his shop sales because of the attitude and poor customer service rendered by Eunice. Unfortunately i am not sure if any soft skills training will benefit Eunice because she chose to use the abusive language in isiZulu thinking that i would not understand. She made a decision to ignore me at the window and to be rude without any thought of apologising. My suggestion is that Eunice is placed on a performance acceleration programme to afford her the opportunity to learn about customer centricity and also for her to secure her much needed job.

I would deal with the forecourt staff at this particular service station on any occasion as they are more customer focused, friendly and professional.

Engen Petroleum fuel price

Good day, on the morning of the 7th of July 2018 at exactly 08:13am I purchased some fuel at the Engen Garage in Glenhaven CNR KASSELSVLEI& PETER BARLOW ROAD GLENHAVEN BELLVILLE SOUTH 7530 and i purchased exactly 1L of LRP95 and the price is R15, 43 per litre, I was charged R15, 45 and I also purchased 1L of Diesel 50PPM and the price is R15, 33 per litre, I was charged R15, 35, I then went to the manager/supervisor/cashier to complain, he then replied by saying it's not his problem. Now really, is that the way to do it, I mean we getting robbed in broad daylight this is so unacceptable and unfair, I mean it's 2cents they pocket for every litre purchased, it may not sound like much but work it out over thousands of litres, there we go. THIS IS SO WRONG

Engen Petroleum food/kitchen staff conduct and attitude

On the early morning (around 00:30 am) of the 13th April 2017, i passed by the engen garage at Landros Mare street in Polokwane to buy food. I waited for over 2 minutes for assistance at plain sight of the cooking staff. I asked to be helped and one old lady asked me if i cannot see that she is busy cooking! Then i politely asked who is going to assist me, then she was joined by her also old colleague and they verbally abused me and told me i am supposed to realise that they are cooking the very same food i am gonna buy! I asked who their names were and all i was told was that they are tired of people who think that they know too much! I then went to the lady at the till named Kate and asked if i could speak to the manager and she told thd manager is not around. I asked who is the next in charge and was told that 'no one is in charge'. As a frequent engen customer i felt very disappointed and i promised them that i am going to complain about their untoward behaviour on customers. I have always uplifted the engen garage as the best filling station in south africa but I felt and i still feel that and there is no regress on this incident i will never use engen service in my life! I have a bussiness myself and had to give one of my clients a free service worth about R700 due to an unneccessary change of words between my secretary and my client and i fired my secretary! If an entity as big as Engen does not portray good ethical principles, their customer base will surely decline dramatically! I plead with you to discipline these inhuman cooking staff and redress me as best as possible.

Engen Petroleum petrol attendant

I went to the engen Garage on the R21 from pretoria to Kempton park. After I stopped at the fuel pump the attended that was to assist me, went to the car behind me and escorted the car to another pump. I got out of the car and told him that I was there first and he wouldn't hear it and continued to assist the other car ignoring me. The supervisor Klaas, said that the attendants name is Martin. Clearly this attended does not understand service and does not care about the brand. I will await the managers call as he was not working tonight.

Engen Petroleum Careful what you say to an Engen pump attendant

This morning, I popped into the Engen, Penford, for some fuel on my way to a golf day. This is not my typical service station of choice, but I needed cash and this station had a autobank as well. I handed the keys to the attendant, asked for R400 unleaded and headed off to the autobank. Thing is, I was driving my wife's Isuzu 250D. The attendant was next to the pump when I came in, thus would have heard the diesel engine. Inside the fuel flap is clearly written 'Diesel only' and the door has a 250D LE logo. In stead of waiting for me, or even just asking me if I am numb in the head or something, he proceded to pump 28 liters of unleaded into the vehicle, just to inform me that 'you asked for unleaded but the fuel flap says diesel' when I got back. To make a long story short, this slip-up cost me over R1000. The Engen owner and manager seemed to be so concerned about the attendant's union that they refused to carry any of the cost of the fuel, emergency repairs, or new diesel. The attendant was not even called in. Good thing I did not ask for a tank of sand.

Is this Engen policy? I am not trying to shift blame totally, but some blame rests on the pump attendant here.

Engen Petroleum Bad service and terrible staff

Today i visit the Engen garage (Tahero) to get some gas. Being a hardcore supporter of the garage, I frequently use this garage to get my petrol if i have not visited another Engen garage. In the early hours of this morning i got petrol for the amount of R50.00 which was enough for a 14 tank or so! Today in between 13:00 and 14:00 i visit them to get petrol again for the same amount and the quantity is no longer the same. Thinking that the status of my gauge will change, i leave the garage only to realise a fewminutes later that there is no change so i go back to complain. What i got was a ***** attitude from the guy that was assisting me. His method of proof is irrelevant and when i try to ask him if something went wrong with the pump, he proceeds to ignore me and keeps telling me about a receipt which is a waste of my time. Customer service in that garage was destroyed by one person. The manager or supervisor inside was trying to help but when i asked for the attendants name they could not give it to me. Now i want someone from Engen to call me and fix this because i will complain everyday until something is done. I dont want to accuse you guys of 'petrol fixing'. I await!

Petrol Station- Bright Star Convenience.

MN-068683;910124

I stopped to fill my polo 1600 with petrol, my polo was still showing 1/4 tank

This was on the 05/07/2023 @13h00.

On checking the slip it stated that 50 litre of petrol was put into my polo...

My tank was 1/4 full an the tank capacity is only 45 litre including reserve tank.

Most of the time when there's an increase in the price of petrol our local engine garage in Mackenzie Park Benoni runs out of petrol from about 4pm the day before.

All the fuel is finished according to the workers i.e. 95, 93 and diesel.

This afternoon, as I was driving home, I noticed that my car was in danger of overheating. I also needed to put in petrol. I therefore stopped at Engen in Empire Road. When Hector un******* the cap part of the way on the water bottle, some of the water started to come out because it was so hot. He then quickly turned the cap back and was about to close the bonnet when I got out the car to tell him there was a problem with the water level. He told me he had checked the water and it was fine. I told me it was not and proceeded to completely unscrew the cap, with the result that a bit more water came out. Thereafter, he commented that he could then see that there was not enough water. I then got into the car and heard Hector exclaiming to his colleague 'Hayi labebalungu'. I would really like to know how race suddenly became an issue. I then paid Hector for the petrol and saw the horror on his face when he received no tip. When I arrive at stations I frequent, I usually have four to five attendants literally running to my car and ignoring other cutomers because I usually give extremely generous tips. Perhaps Hector should take note.

I went to buy electricity on the 25th of june 2016 at Engen Empangeni (central Park) at 01h10 night. My wallet was left on a till with my money and my belongings inside, I went home without noticing but I did remember the mistake happened. When going there for the follow up I manage to talk to the manager Judy is the name. After I did explained she then went inside to reverse the cameras on her way back she says I am not appearing on a camera coming in or entering the door maybe if I should come back with something tangible like a slip she can be able to investigate clearly. I went back to search for the slip and fortunately I got it then came back again, the slip has the date and the cashier who help me. This time she went inside again to check and came back saying unfortunately the video footage has already been deleted itself I am no where to be found, my problem is she is the only one going in to check for the second time now, the cashier is of duty but she gave me a wrong cellphone number because if I call the person answering is not the cashier its somebody clueless at what do I want. I have done what I could to come back with evidence but still no help. Please if I can be shown the video footage to see myself coming in, buying and going out could be better, I still have the slips on my side if anybody wants it.

I went to fill up my tank this morning at 09h30 at the local engen. The lady just grinned and said that there is no fuel till tomorrow. I asked if they were saving petrol for the fuel hike -- she just laughed and walked away. I went to the caltex down the road and they were too happy to supply me with and the other items I bought. Is this the service we can expect from engen? I will not stop at any engen again even if my car is running dry.
