eHost.com poor web hosting service

Terrible web hosting service. Poor customer service. Slow and ineffective responses to password reset request (ehost failed to resolve a simple password reset request on time and refused to implement a reasonable request of automatically deducting funds from my card to prevent disruption of website). Handed over all possible account validation documents, including bank statements showing proof of payment, but they still went ahead and closed my website. As a result of suspension of my website, lost over $2000 investment in website development (they refused to even hand over the backed-up files) as well as clients, repeat business and revenue. Additionally, my google ranking has gone down as a result of reduction of traffic flows into my website. I also have to suspend a marketing campaign and incur an extra cost to develop a new website. I wouldn't recommend ehost or any of the affiliated companies to anyone (I also had a problem with justhost which introduced an illegal $80 charge for a domain name which had been handed over to me for free for the remainder of my hosting service)!

eHost.com web hosting

In March I noticed that I was getting charged for 12 additional email accounts that were setup by this company in error. There was a known bug in their system that assigned multiple email accounts to your account when you wanted to add just one. I called and thought I had it resolved until suddenly they cut off 2 of the true email accounts off (not allowing email to go out or come in). These are production accounts that are forward facing to my clients.

When I called to find out why I was informed there was an outstanding invoice - tough to do when there is a CC on file. They saw the issue and restored the accounts. 2 days later the same thing happened again. I have spent more than 1 hour on the phone with them and discovered that they refunded the funds for the accounts that were improperly setup in March. Evidently their system cant recognize a charge from a refund.

While on the phone, someone incorrectly fixed it by CHARGING me AGAIN for the accounts. Math is something that is a CORE curriculum taught in our schools, learn it or don't pass! If I your incorrectly charged me $60 and my CC paid it, I owe nothing, instead they owe me $50 but want to insist I owe them $10...help me understand the math?

Very poor customer service. When I asked to be transferred to a supervisor I was told that they the rep couldn't do that. When I asked for her ID, she informed me they couldn't give that information out - seriously? She then proceeded to stay on the call but kept silent, waiting for me to hang up so that I couldn't take the customer service survey.

If a company tells you that you are important and that your call is important, they need to install checks and balances or quality control procedures to back it up.

Bottom line - go elsewhere for your web hosting - its the best advice you will get today.

eHost.com Credit card fraud and identity theft by e-host

WARNING ALERT; E-host is a company involved in international credit card fraud and identity theft, they demand a copy of your drivers license, and credit card or passport for your own security, priceless! This is highly illegal and fraudulent and should be reported to the FBI and Interpol. They operate out of the Philippines with NO USA jurisdiction or due process of law to protect you! The positive ratings in this site are actually from their own crooked employees, just trace their IP for confirmation, pass this along to all concern victims and network among all countries to prevent this on-going and active international scam theft!

eHost.com Billing issues

Used their service and they billed me two times! When I contacted eHost customer service they said there was nothing they could do and recommended me to close my account! I said that I was planning to use their service in the future and that I want too keep the account, and that the only thing I really want from them is some help and support. They said that there was probably some kind of mistake with the payment but they are unable to help. What kind of support is that? These people are beyond ridiculous and they did everything to get rid off a customer. No reputable company does that!
