Dear toefl board

I am writing to complain about my inability to take the toefl examination on 30/9/23 due to not having the proper documentation. I had already paid the high examination fee, and I was very disappointed and frustrated to be turned away at the door.

I had carefully reviewed the examination requirements and believed I had all the necessary documentation, including the national id that I registered with. However, when I arrived at the examination center, I was told I needed an original copy of my passport. I had only brought a national ID registered with. If was allowed to register using national ID then why was passport asked at the time of exam?

I was very surprised and disappointed to learn that an original copy of my passport was required, as this was not mentioned in the examination requirements that I had reviewed. I contacted the examination board by phone to explain the situation, but I was told that there was nothing that could be done and that I would need to pay the examination fee again to retake the examination on a later date.

I am very unhappy with the way that this situation was handled. I paid a high examination fee, and I was prepared to take the examination. However, I was turned away at the door because of a minor documentation issue. I believe the examination board should have clearly stated in the examination requirements that an original passport copy is required.

I am requesting that you refund my examination fee, or allow to retake exame with the same fee. as I was unable to take the examination due to a lack of clarity in the examination requirements. I am also requesting that you update the examination requirements to clearly state during registering that an original copy of a passport is required.
