I bought a granite countertop from East Coast Granite (ECG)
I bought a granite countertop from East Coast Granite (ECG). They sent someone to check the cabinets and measure before making the countertop. ECG did the visit before making it. They didn't mention anything about the cabinets. Then they made and installed the countertop. After it was installed, ECG told me they didn't put the brackets for the overhang because there was a problem with the cabinet. They couldn't explain what the problem was exactly. We've been calling each other to fix the problem, but it hasn't worked. ECG has now given the unpaid balance to a collection agency. I have to pay it now. But the countertop is still not good because there are no supports under the overhang.

East Coast Granite offered to install a new countertop "at cost," but I would have to pay for everything again, including the plumbing. Basically, I would have to pay twice. I talked directly to the boss, ***. He strongly refused any other options or discounts, saying, "we didn't do anything wrong." He completely ignored and dismissed my concerns, saying, "no one else has complained." I wanted to upgrade my kitchen, but this countertop looks noticeably flawed and chipped, and all my friends noticed it without me saying anything. East Coast Granite should have warned me about this before I bought the quartz. It's their job to know these things!
