Unfinished work / terrible customer service
This company is the worst ever! Please avoid at all cost because the customer service is terrible and they do not honor their warranty. You will get constantly lied to by the owner name Greg and the office manager Steve. Fast forward and the company no shows, no calls, and fails to respond to repeated attempts of call backs. After coming back out to repair our foundation under warranty for cracks that reappeared in our ceilings and floors. It was a terrible mistake, not only did they come; out they made the foundation to our home worst. We can't shut doors, new crack on wall from the door that leads up to the ceiling and visible cracks outside the home. Duratech foundation will not hire certified foundation workers to install your peers. This company has caused nothing but headaches and grief. They ripped out our landscape to start the job, but no attempt to put it back like it was. We had to go purchase flowers and grass again. You will only talk to the head guy (Greg) one time and that's to sell you their services. After that, good luck! You don't have to take my words! Check out the better business bureau for yourself and google reviews for yourself. Please don't visit their website for reviews (you will mislead). I am not sure how they are still running a business with so many unhappy customers. I am warning you to think twice before allowing this company to repair your home. Think twice!
Foundation stabilization/piers installed
Contracted with DuraTech to install piers under our home to stabilize minor settling. Contractor promised that engineer drawings would be furnished (for resale purposes), a lifetime warranty would be issued, an follow up inspection and necessary adjustments in 90 days and that shrubbery would be preserved and damage minimized. (Smooth talker convinced us to use his company.)
None of this happened. No drawings, no warranty, no 90 day inspection and shrubs destroyed---holes for pilings not filled in.
Company (Gregg Gottwald) refuses to respond to phone calls, letters, Better business Bureau and Angie's List intervention. He ignores the problems and apparently, has no intention of making things right.
Stay away--real far away from Gottwald and this company or suffer the consequences

Gottwald and Dura Tech are a sham operation who use day labor picked up at street gathering locations for temp help and one marginally knowledgeable "straw boss". Once you write the check, you won't see Greg again or be able to contact him. Flim flam man extraordinaire. Sleazy, shady character who poses to be an "Engineer" but is not. Save yourself the heartaches and hire a different, professional company who will honor their contract.
Horrible experience. Next step is to go to BBB & Attorney General. We flooded over Memorial Day 2015 and subsequently contracted with Greg for his company to lift our home. Greg said it would take 1 month to complete the job with good weather. He was approximately 2 weeks away from finishing the job as of February 10th, 2016 when we received approval from our civic association to complete the actual lift. His staff did not show up consistently enough to accomplish this before we actually flooded again on April 18th, 2016. We certainly had 2 weeks of good weather during the 2-month period before the April flood. Greg had an unending list of excuses regarding lack of performance during this time. Had Greg managed this job properly, we would not have flooded a second time in April. I don’t think I have enough fingers and toes to count the number of times he said his crew would show up and never did. The one thing he was diligent about was taking our money and not completing the work even as this review is being written on June 12th, 2016. Further, we have recently contacted another contractor to possibly complete the job and they have indicated the plans Greg provided are not sufficient for a proper lift.
