I followed a BTK Construction truck today from Z Highway to Lake View drive at the railroad tracks in Horine at Front Street. The driver NEVER once looked up from his phone. He held it chest high and did manage to keep his truck between the lines but drove at erratic speeds and did not seem to know that there were 4 vehicles following him closely.
I have 2 teenage drivers and seeing anyone drive like this sickens me. Seeing a man in a company truck drive like this is inexcusable. If you think it doesn't matter, you are wrong.

I was just going to let it all go, but I have given this guy 2250.00 of my savings already and he did not finish the
job. I will not give him another 2250.00, which is what he wants. I
would not anyone else to go through this so do not recommend him to anyone else..

Too many red flags before he started the job. I wish I had never used him.
1. he wanted cash or check,
2. he does not answer his cell when he doesn't show up for hours. Or he does not show up at all then a lie to cover it.
3. he does not know what he is doing, he let the concrete dry when stamping then tried to hammer in the stamping. He took out the steps twice because the first pour dried to fast and he couldn't get the stamp in.
4. I wanted a brick looking stamp he said oh no you need a cobblestone.
I drew a picture of what I wanted and it does not look like that.
5. his people wanted to dump excess dirt in my garden in the back yard, I said no but, they could put it on the side of the house where it wouldn't show. He claims I asked for that. Not So.
6. He parked a tractor on my lawn for days and it was never to be used at my house. It tore up the lawn and the dog run, which I had to replace.
7. He used my hose to hose off the first batch of gray grouting and the workers. He blew several holes in it so that new hose now has to be replaced.
8. He did not put the railing in the concrete so I had to take that back and get a different one to place on the side. He saw the railing and knew that it was to go in concrete he even said that to me when I showed it to him. This cost me another 500.00.
9. The steps are all different dimensions. They lean to the left. He has a hand print in the concrete on the steps on the side where it wasn't dry yet on the 2nd pour and looks amateur.
10. He went on vacation and left a mess of dry gray grout all over the lawn, steps and front sidewalk. It rained and it ran all over the sidewalk and I had 2 inches of gray powered water for kids going to school to walk threw. So, I am 75 and had to get out there and sweep it off for hours 2. The gray left he walk and steps not matching anything.
I tried to call him about 4 times. No answer. He sent the working over the next day to pick up their stuff and the one worker said he had to go out of town to pay a speeding ticket. Not true again another lie.
There were several!
11. My whole front lawn is messed up. They left the hill all torn up chopped up is more like. I will have to have it all landscaped and even out now. I am working on bids for that. Some of them are over a 1000.00 to fix it. The steps he put in are lower than the hill... the original ones where not like that.
12. Last, and the most upsetting! He called me while he was on vacation. Billy " said he was on vacation", and yelled and yelled at me because one of his workers told him I was not happy with the color. He threatened drive 12 hours from Florida and rip it all out!, and leave it that way. He was not going to put in the railing or send out someone to do it anymore. He wanted another 2250.00 before he would fix anything. He kept yelling at the top of his lungs, I said I was hanging up if he continued to yell. He did so I hung up. He called back and my daughter in law took the phone, I could hear him yelling at her saying the same thing. She told him she was hanging up. later that night my Son called him and asked him to calm down.. he yelled at him but then said he would talk to him.

My son and Billy looked at the walk and steps on the next day...and he did admit to him that it was not his best job. I do not want him to return and do anything... but he did not finish the job. I am afraid of him... If He thinks it's ok to scream at a 75 year old lady because she is not happy with a bad job. I don't think he should be in this business. He does not show that he has a license in his name. He did not pull a permit from Brentwood, Mo. before he started which it required. He said he’s been doing this for 15 years, I hardly think so he is 30 years old and stamping concrete has just come about in the last 6 or so years. I think he is working off someone else’s license. If there is a Billy Sr., that may be it. Last but not least he says he is going to suit me for 2250.00 more.

It was my birthday and I had told him that before we even started, and my whole family was coming into town for my 75th birthday... I also told him if he could not get it done before my birthday party I would rather wait. Oh no! he said it should only take two days. Well, so much for that!
