Sarah Speese is a lousy & lazy doctor, she couldn't even get my pap test right, or review the medical records from my last doctor. One day she refused to see me for no reason, her medical staff are rude, often lie to patients about Speese's background, and her nurse was telling patients that her husband; E. L. Clark Speese, a Lawyer working at the Medical College of Augusta, was being sued for fraud by Georgia Health & Sciences University, and that she had a conflict of interest, so she couldn't treat any patients connected to Medical College of Augusta?
So she has refused medical treatment to alot of women in the Augusta Area! All she cares about is her pathetic image, NOT complying with the Hippocratic Oath, failing to treat all of her patients who come to her for prenatal help, and providing quality medical care...

My wife has been a patient of Dr. Speece's for several years. We too, have found her to be a doctor who appears concerned and caring as well as easy to get along with. She has always taken time to address any concerns we had and to make certain we understood anything she was discussing.
While it is certainly not necessary for us to have a "friend" type relationship with, or for that matter like our doctor's personalty, it sure is nice if we can. And I would bet we get better health care simply by being more likely to interact and communicate better with a doctor who we are more friendly and comfortable with.
Through all of our interaction with Sarah Speece, we have always found her to be a caring and concerned doctor with whom we are comfortable seeing in any situation.
Now, as to her staff and particularly her records and billing departments, we have experienced several issues. These have Included inaccurate medical information in my wife's file as well as billing/accounting issues.
We have experienced, if not rude, then at least not very warm interactions with some of these staff members. And I assure you we did nothing to cause these behaviors other than perhaps inquiring about an error.
We have experienced one department blaming (bad mouthing) the other for a recurring issue.
While we certainly believe the medical records issue to a simple mistake, it is still a medical record of significant importance. The billing issues so far have all been resolved. But who wants the hassle of having to deal with a billing issue every month.

Now to the person who says the behavior or attitude of her staff should not reflect on her as a doctor, you are wrong. It may not reflect on her skills as a physician, but it absolutely reflects on other aspects of her as a doctor. It is her responsibility as the doctor to ensure that her staff maintains accurate records and interacts professionally and not "short" or rude with her patients. She is no different than any other busy business owner... except that we trust her with our health.. and I bet she will agree with this as well.
Now with that said, none of the issues we have experienced give us even the slightest doubt in whom we trust and will continue to entrust with my wifes health. We have the utmost confidence in Sarah Speece as a physician.
Also as to her nursing / assistants staff, we have always experienced friendly and professional service,

Oh yea, as to what her husband does... who cares? It certainly doesn't reflect in any way on her abilities as a doctor. He's an attorney, he will always be involved in litigation. And if he is or has been at odds with the good Dr. Azziz, hooray for him!

Dr. Speese saved my life...twice. She listens to her patients and has a wonderful bedside manner. I have been her patient for over 18 years and would never consider going anywhere else. I cannot ever imagine her treating anyone this way; but, whatever may have transpired...I am sure it started with your own inappropriate behaviors.

Well, Im sorry if yall had a bad experience, but Im sure there is another side to what happened. She is so nice and I just cant see her doing that for no reason at all! I have been uncomfortable with many other doctors before but she treated me like a friend, not just a patient. I am a very shy person and she always made me feel at ease, cracked jokes with me, showed compassion, and listened to all my problems and took GREAT care of me during my pregnancy/ and c-section. I admit sometimes her staff can be short and in a hurry, but that is everywhere you go. It shouldn't reflect on her as a Doctor! Some visits were quicker than others but she is a busy woman with a lot of patients to see! If I ever had a major problem she never rushed the appointment. I live almost an hour away and still its worth the drive to see her. She is a GREAT OBGYN so Im sorry but I think you writing this letter is just horrible. GET A LIFE!

Yea, we definately agree that she's a lousy doctor! One day we had an appointment to see her, and she wouldn't even see or speek to us! Her nurse brought us into her office, talked with us, and told us to wait for a minute, while she goes to get Dr. Sarah P. Speese, then suddenly she yelled from another room saying; "If her husband is here, I can't treat her!", then her staff became rude, & kicked us out of clinic at Trinity Hospital, FOR NO REASON; just like that she refused to see us, and acted very unprofessional.. We're glad anyway, because we heard she wasn't a good gynecologist, and we're going to let other pregnant women know how badly she treated us too, and avoid her medical practice!
