Dollywood Parking

I do believe this is your first year of trying out this new parking I’ve been going to the park for about the last six or seven years. Security does move a lot better,getting into the park seems easier. But and there’s always a but, The parking situation is atrocious,. Your handicap parking is way too close to each car as we were going and finding a space, already a wreck of a truck smashing into the front of another car the guy was still standing out there. You have people just sardined and packed into an area which has to answer into a tram which fills up in seconds. To many people underneath that awning to enter a tram very very uncomfortable. The parking lot is not even marked you go into sections ,in there must be 20 rows of cars 30 car in section C not even marked. I know the parking is an ongoing situation and problem. But whoever designed this first layout needs to go and reassess and re-think what is the thousands of people leaving and going at the same time. Thank you Mark Gensel .

Yes and now handicapped parking is terrible. We went at Christmas time. And parked in the new handicap parking, front was full. Now the big Tram station took up a lot of the parking. If you start at the tram station it is a very long ways to the front gate! We are old and our legs and back hurts walking that far. Why doesn’t the tram drop people off at the front gate? We pay enough for tickets and parking. The distance now just cuts down on the times we will come to the park. We know what you will say. We have preferred parking! But it cost more money and has to be reserved! Fix the drop off point. Please.

Today was the first time we have been to Dollywood this year. We have had season passes for over 20 years. We parked in A/B right at the tram stop. After the tram let us off we had to walk a 1/2 mile to get to security then another 1/4,of a mile to the gate.

My husband and myself both have bad legs and feet. It is ridiculous!

Can something not be done about this? As much money that we spend on seasons passes and buying food the parking situation is ridiculous!

Dollywood Customer service

Hello, 

I visited the park in 3/14/22.  My friends and I made the trip from Tuscaloosa during our Spring Break.  Our first ride was the Lightning Rod. After 2 hours of waiting in line and several maintenance issues it was our turn.  When I sat down my seat belt was twisted and I struggled to buckle it.  I am a bit overweight but saw several larger people riding.  The ride attendant may no effort to help. She stood on the platform with crossed arms. After several minutes watching while I struggled she said "I should just get off".  I was humiliated and ashamed.  I insisted my friend go anyway.  Another attendant kindly gave me a time saver as I was standing  on the opposite side. When my friend returned she told me the belt was twisted and was several inches longer after straightening .  I was reluctant to try another ride for fear of the embarrassment of being told to get off again.  With the encouragement of my friends I braved the next coaster. I had no problem with any other ride and we road all of the big ones.  My experience with the attendant on the first ride came close to ruining my visit and made me unlikely to return.  Please encourage your staff to be helpful, kind and less judgmental.

Dollywood Permitting too many people into Dollywood

Dollywood is a lovely family place but it is really disappointing to this teacher who was looking forward to spring break at the theme park to find overcrowding. After an 11 hour ride, it was no fun to find that too many people were permitted into the park. After spending over $500 in tickets and $159 in foos, we were able to ride four rides between 10am and 7 pm. We waited in line for up to 2 hours. The kids were bummed. Did I mention I am a teacher? Lol. That was a lot of money for four rides. I know that it’s about making money for the company but …I’m just let down.

Family visited Dollywood yesterday we were a party of seven tickets. The parking prices have gone crazy. It felt like getting money stolen from us. Kids rode three rides because you let way too many people in and the lines were way too long. I couldn’t get online to get our military discount either and the lines to do convert to season passes were as long as the tides. that were an My name is Betty Hicks, 160 County Road 710, Riceville, TN 37370 and my phone number is [protected]. Dollywood Food Service

March 14,2022

The restaurants in the middle of lunch time, Stopped seating, stopped taking orders and offered no explanation. Many eating outlets are closed and the ones opened are a disaster. Pack a lunch or eat before

you come, because getting food here is impossible.

Dollywood Season passes not fully informed about at purchase time

I purchased 2 season passes first of December. I was not informed that there
was limited capacity or that a reservation was required, in middle of December I tried to get a reservation only to find that everything was booked thru end of season (jan 2). So now I am paying for a "season Pass" that can't be used for 3 months (closed) and did not get to enjoy Christmas season in 2021. This is very disappointing and seems to be mis advertising.

Dollywood Christmas season !!!

I think it is ashamed that you purchased season passes one golf pass and a adult pass i you can't use them, I tried making reservations they was full are no one one answer calls ! I'm not aiming to purchase ticket again after 20 years ! I hope someone would take the time to answer my complaint. We love going in the fall and the Christmas shows! Please don't ignore this !

Dollywood Not able to use season pass to enter Dollywood

I find it quite unfair to be a season pass holder to not be able to get into the park for the Christmas display. I lost time last season because of COVID and once again losing time this year.
I am fully vaccinated with booster and missing a tradition for my husband and me.
This is VERY SAD!
Please help me get into the park before Dollywood closes

Dollywood Season ticket restrictions

Tried to make reservations using our season passes but we were told the day was booked. Then tried to buy tickets for that day and found out plenty were available if you want to pay full price. No one told us about any restrictions on using the pass except you need to make reservations but they won't let you use your pass to make the reservation even when the park is not full. We have been pass holders for nearly 15 years, never again.

Desired outcome: Full refund of our 2022 passes.

Dollywood restricting visits to season passholders

Dollywood for the Second Consecutive Week is Limiting Season Passholders in Visiting The PARK. However, Dollywood's website states " ALL Season Passholders Receive Unlimited Visits " - This is clearly False Advertising and all of Dollywood's Season Pass Holders Should File a Class Action Lawsuit Against Dollywood, Inc / Corporate owner Herschend Family Entertainment - Similar to how the season passholders of Six Flags and Disneyland successfully filed Their Class Action Lawsuits back in 2017 & 2020.

Dollywood Season pass

We bought season passes 11-20-21 and planned on coming back a couple times in Dec and now now they are saying you have to make reservations and they are none. This should have been said before purchase I would not have bought season passes if I had been to about reservations season pass holders should be able to go any time they want. Refund. Refund
Never will get them again and advise everyone I know

Dollywood Season pass extension 2020

Dollywood Guest Services,

I placed a call to 1-800-Dollywood at 9:44am CST on Thursday December 8, 2021 and left my cell number (xxx-xxx-xxxx), as instructed by the recorded phone menu instructions. I received a return call at 11:00am CST from a Dollywood Customer Representative, (did not catch her name) to discuss "options available" as presented in your email below. I told the representative that we do not feel comfortable being in a large crowd with the ongoing COVID pandemic. I know Dollywood is taking the recommended CDC guidelines to open the park, but senior citizens should not be exposed to the crowds experienced at Dollywood. I explained that our season passes were extended from 2020 to accommodate the 2021 season. We still have COVID infection activity in the USA and around the world. I was put on hold for a couple of minutes and the Customer Service Representative stated that our Dollywood passes would not be valid past the season ending December2021. Really disappointed that no other options were discussed as stated in the email below. No mention of a refund to accommodate past Dollywood fans and patrons. This is a low point response to seniors working through the current economy decline not to mention the loss to the local Pigeon Forge economy from supporting tourist restaurants and hotels, I don't think Dolly would have declined our request as I'm sure there are other seniors facing the same obstacles. If a refund or an extension of the season tickets to the 2022 season is not going to be offered, please provide your 501C-3 paperwork so I can can at least claim a tax deduction for a donation to a charitable organization Dolly supports

Dollywood Recent visit

Our 3rd year coming to dollywood for thanksgiving vacation, tickets were for friday we do not live here and are visiting, this particular day was extremely bone chilling cold, we noted many shops as well as eateries were closed vs last year in the thick of covid? It was very obvious there were no places to get warm no outside heaters anywhere, no fire pits out side which to even warm your hands, we did have to buy coats in gift shop and thankful there were some, but the lack of planning for such a well known large park is truly inexcusable. We didn't even have shelter while trying to eat, food literally was cold before we could sit down! After we ate our frozen food and hunted one of a handful of places selling hot chocolate all the coasters were closed! This was by 6pm! I paid 400$ for these tickets and couldnt ride most of the rides! I feel this is just wrong only a few shows we could duck into to get out of the bitter cold, so many with babies and no heat or even covered shelters to get out of wind... I i

Desired outcome: I feel it would be fair to offer rain checks to come back to enjoy the park, properly

Dollywood Bring a Friend

I purchased a season pass under the impression I could use Christmas bring a friend but after purchasing the pass I see I cannot.My grandchildren will not be here until Christmas eve. I was also going to purchase one for my husband so we could use them both to bring both our grandchildren but I waited to see if I could still use them the next week. When I call I was told no I could not change the date. Very Disappointed

Dollywood Disappointed with how they treat disabled

First, upon entering the park we looked into a motorized cart which none were available. Mary decided to say you have to be 16 anyways. Well she's 22. Even though she looks younger. We found her to be very rude and not helpful. We did end up having to rent a stroller that kids go in because there's nothing else available. Next, we realized that the rest of the family were on the cars and we found the handicap lane after meeting them there after our other experience already. We followed the line and the very rude worker ignored us at first then snapped where is your pass not realizing that we needed one was very rude and ignorant. I am a veteran and as I did receive a discount I found it very upsetting how my disabled niece was treated by more then one employee. To top it off we were there because my niece just lost her mother to covid four weeks prior and we were trying to do something fun for her and her siblings.

Dollywood Red’s diner inside dollywood

My boyfriend and I visited Dollywood on Sunday Oct 24. We decided to eat at Red's diner what a huge disappointment. I stood in a long line and it was time to place my order. I ordered the burger combo with a drink and just asked for no cheese ( I am dairy free)
My boyfriend ordered the same thing but with cheese and drink We finally received our order and I only had 1 fry. I told the lady we should have 2. She told me if I wanted another fry I would need to get back in line. If I did that my burger would be cold. The drink even water was completely empty. I can't believe I paid $23.00 for that service!

Dollywood Need Dolly Parton’s help can you help the get to her

We are reaching out to you because we are about to lose our community church and graveyard. The people who have the church and graveyard obtained the deed to the graveyard and church without advising the community about their actions. This church and graveyard the land that it sets on was donated by my grandparents in 1957 to the community. We do not want your money we only want someone with a voice that could be heard. Evidently ours is falling on deaf ears. We would only asked you to look at this and see if it is morally right not legally right. We are running out of time and me personally I am trying to keep what my grandparents intended This church and graveyard To be used for. The community of friendship. The sale is next Wednesday, 3 November. If there is anything you could do or say we would appreciate it.

Dollywood Dollywood

I visited on 10/11/21 it cost my family 340.00 to visit also 20.00 parking. It stated low capacity when I went online for reservations. we arrived at 1030am day of visit and it was packed to the fullest ... very disappointed there was NO food places open but a couple... so much was shut down and everything was very dirty, trash was all over the ground through out the park. We did not get to even eat due to the food lines being over a 2 1/2 hour wait and so was the shops. could not even get a drink ! had to drink water from the bathroom which was very nasty. We pay for a good time for our family and it was more frustration than pleasure. Waist of our money and I expect someone to make it right with us or I will spread the word of the selling of Dollywood and that it is NOT a good place to visit in the Smokey's. I know I am not the only one who has had this complaint either. I'm not out to get something for free but this was ridiculous and needs to be made right, especially If this is any family oriented business at all !

I can't begin to tell you how sorry I am that your visit to Dollywood was different than what you were expecting. It sure is a popular place for anyone visiting the Great Smoky Mountains.

I will say I'm rather surprised to see such a negative review so blasted quick. Heck, it was only yesterday that you were in the park.

Maybe you should try stopping back during the holidays. There's always plenty to do and the eating is always good. Make sure to bundle up though. I'm sure you'll have a really good time.

Dollywood Would not refund my money for 3 pass holders

I am writing a complaint about no refund of tickets and mugs that I bought on January 5, 2020!
Due to covid in 2020 me and my family could not go to Dollywood due to the fact that everything was shut down. And then we got covid right at Christmas! Thanks to China!😡. And when they did open Dollywood up the mask mandate started. And we couldn't get off work and go. They did extend the pass holders, but we still could not go. And I had talked to a woman that said as long as we didn't go at all we would be refunded! But the lady I spoke to said they were not refunding any of the 2020 season passes! Well that it a bunch of bologna! When my husband hears about this he will be furious and we may not go back to Dollywood! And we really enjoyed going down there! I know this is a hard time for everybody, but seriously if people cannot go due to medical issues with the mask mandate they should refund your money!

Dollywood Season tickets

I bought a gold senior and a regular senior season pass for 2020 but COVID happened and I called Dollywood to see if they would refund my money. The agent I spoke to said yes but if I wanted to as long as I didn't use it for 2020 I could roll it over for 2021 or depending how COVID went ask for a refund then.
I made several attempts to reach Dollywood customer support in the past two weeks to request a refund due to the Delta variant, low vaccination rates and high number of COVID cases in Tennessee and how unsafe it would be to go now ( it is worse now than last year) and agent said they would not refund. I explained I was told I could request a refund from a previous agent from a 2020 call but I was again told that they will not roll the passes over again nor will they refund the amount of the passes back to me even though they were not used in 2020 or 2021.

Dollywood Ride attendant on thunderhead

Got on this ride as soon as we got to the park. Had my phone in my hand. Ride attendant asked if I was sure I wanted to ride with my phone. I said yes and she said ok. After the ride was over and we had not even came to complete stop yet, she came over and was practically in my face yelling about how I pulled my phone out on the ride. I calmly said that I had it in my hand when the ride started and she just kept fussing. I had to maneuver around her as she was still practically in my face. Then she started threatening to have me thrown out of the park. I walked away but it put a damper on whole day and we left after only a few hours. I have never been so disappointed and disrespected in my life. I love Dollywood but don't know if I'll go back.

Desired outcome: Would like our three tickets refunded.
