I recently checked out this dog food website called DogFoodAdvisor (dogfoodadvisor.com) and let me tell you, it's pretty cool. They've got a lot of different brands of dog food listed and each one has a rating based on their own opinions and research. Now, I gotta say, I don't always agree with their opinions, you know what I mean? Sometimes it seems like they're just jumping on the latest fad diet bandwagon. But hey, at least they're giving us something to consider, right?
One thing that I really appreciate about DogFoodAdvisor is that they break down the ingredients of each brand of dog food. Sometimes it can be hard to understand what all those fancy words mean, but they explain it in a way that's easy to understand. And let me tell you, some of the stuff they put in dog food is pretty yucky. Makes me glad I stick to real food!
Now, I know some people might say that DogFoodAdvisor's ratings are biased or not based on fact. But let's be real here, folks. There's no such thing as complete objectivity. Everyone's got an opinion, even if they claim they don't. And when it comes to dog food, I think it's important to hear from people who have actually tried different brands and can tell us what worked for their furry friend.
Overall, I think DogFoodAdvisor is a pretty helpful resource for dog owners. Sure, they might make some spelling and grammar errors from time to time, but who doesn't? At least they're trying to help us make informed decisions about what we feed our four-legged family members.
DogFoodAdvisor.com: What Happened to the Reliable Resource?
DogFoodAdvisor (dot) com ain't what she used to be y'all. I mean, like, seriously. Back in the day, she used to be a pretty good place to go for some information on what to feed your pup. But lately, I'm not so sure.
Firstly, the site has undergone some changes, and not all of them for the better. It seems like they're now trying to sell some brands over others. Like, they'll give a certain brand a good rating, but then recommend another one in their "food tips" section. I mean, what is that all about?
Secondly, the site just isn't as reliable as it used to be. Like, I used to be able to trust their ratings and recommendations. But now, I don't know if I can. It feels like they're just saying whatever to make a quick buck.
So, do I recommend DogFoodAdvisor? Honestly, I don't know anymore. Maybe take their ratings and recommendations with a grain of salt, and do your own research. 'Cause, like, you never know what kinda shady stuff people are trying to pull these days.

Beware: DogFoodAdvisor's Irresponsible Ratings Resulted in Dog Deaths
DogFoodAdvisor, what a bore. They rate dog food like they rate movies, but with absolutely no science to back it up. Listen, I’ve been feeding my dog the “highly recommended” dog food from this site and guess what? He got sick, the severe kind of sick that had me rushing him to the vet. And what did I find out? The dog food that had been given such a “good” rating was actually killing dogs!
There’s been a lot of attention on the recent FDA study into grain-free dog food diets. And you know what’s crazy? Many of the dog foods that DogFoodAdvisor had given high ratings to are in that study as the culprit of dogs getting ill. Some even died! I mean, come on, how can you trust a site that rates dog food without any real scientific backing? It’s irresponsible and dangerous.
Let’s be real, this site has not helped pets in any way. It’s actually harmed them. Directly contributed to dog deaths. Shame on them. Do your research, don’t trust sites like DogFoodAdvisor. Trust your vet, they are the ones with the real scientific knowledge.
A Review of DogFoodAdvisor: Is It Really the Best Source of Info on Dog Food?
This website called DogFoodAdvisor is run by a guy who says he really knows a lot of dog foodstuff. I'm not so sure about that, though. He used to be a tooth surgeon so why is he claiming he's an expert on dog food? Sounds kinda weird to me. But I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for now.
Basically, he checks out different brands of dog food and rates them and he only gives them 1 to 5 stars. Why not 10 stars? I don't know. But that's what he does. He also calculates all these percentages and stuff that totally go over my head. I mean, who cares about percentages, right?
What really bugs me though is he only looks at the first ten ingredients in the food. I don't think that's enough to really judge a brand, do you? And he also gets all picky about things that don't even matter when it comes to what dogs eat.
The worst part of all of this is that tons of dog owners go to him for advice. I don't want to know what kind of messed up stuff people are feeding their dogs based on what he says. So, if I were you, I'd just stay away from this website.
Final Thoughts: I'm not so sure about this DogFoodAdvisor website or the guy who runs it. It seems like he's just doing this as a side gig or a hobby or something. But people are actually listening to what he has to say, which scares me. So, if you're looking for some info on dog food, maybe find another resource.
