Failure to issue chargeback
I ordered 2 benches online from a company in Chicago. I requested a specific color of vinyl. When the benches arrived, they were not the color I ordered. I immediately contacted the merchant, who steadfastly denied any liability and refused to work with me. I returned the benches at my own expense, and I notified CU of CO that I was disputing the charge to my VISA card. It was temporarily reversed, but the credit union later changed its decision, and re-instituted the charge. I attempted every avenue to work with the credit union, to no avail.
VISA rules require that a charge-back be issued if the merchandise was not as described or ordered, AND the customer returned the merchandise. For some reason, the credit union felt that VISA's rules do not apply to it, and that I should pay for merchandise I no longer have. I also discovered that the merchant had violated other VISA rules, as well as the Truth-in-Lending Act, and therefore did not deserve to be paid. This, too, was ignored by the credit union. I have asked the credit union to submit this case to binding arbitration through VISA. I am in the process of finding an attorney to file a bad-faith claim against the credit union for its failure to represent its member in good faith against a fraudulent merchant.
I had been a member of this credit union since 1974, when it was the Colorado State-Employees' Credit Union. I have now moved all my accounts to a local bank.

Credit union of Colorado has been such a breath of fresh air for me. Anything and everything I’ve applied for and or asked for Ive got with no questions asked. And the application process and funds are done the same day. I don’t understand how anyone could leave a bad review unless you’re the problem.
