Cracker Barrel - Sunrise sampler breakfast

The restaurant was not full but it took a long time to be waited on. I finally put my order in a Sunrise Sampler for breakfast. I asked for my bacon to be crispy, my eggs to be scrambled in one piece not cut up and I wanted them well done. When my food arrived the bacon looked raw and the eggs were scrambled but cut up into pieces and it was not cooked well done. So it was sent back after explaining how it was suppose to be, she took it back. It took a while then it came out with the bacon crispy but the eggs were not scrambled and they were not cooked well done again. I asked to speak to the manager and he tried to get me to let him re-cook it. I had an appointment and had to leave because it had taken so long. He told me he would adjust my bill so I had to wait. When I got my bill he charged me almost full price. It was $5.90 for the food and then my beverage was added. I only eat the bacon and 1 1/2 biscuits with the sawmill gravy. I did not eat the eggs, hash browns, apples, etc. I thought that was crazy to pay that when I could have went to BoJangles and got a gravy biscuit for about $2.00. I know everyone blames covid for everything but there was not that many people. I am not sure if the waiter or the other girl did not convey how I wanted my food cooked or if it was the cook’s fault. But I am not going back. Everyone else can cook the eggs and bacon, I do not understand. A lot of people like their bacon crispy, it was not a crazy request. We even used Cracker Barrel to cater our holiday meals. The service has really gone downhill. I will not be using my money there again. I wish I had taken a picture but I was upset when I left.

Desired outcome: I should not have had to pay the much for a biscuit, gravy and bacon. I did drink my drink but I felt it was unfair. Terrible or no customer service.

I agree with you.

Covid changed many things but I’m starting to think businesses are taking advantage of consumers with poor service and higher prices.

Many received those emergency loans meant to pay their employees and then closed their doors.

It’s all about integrity and accountability and corporations don’t support anybody but their pocketbooks and bottom lines. So sad!
