County Wide Paving in Springfield gave us a $7,000 estimate to pave our driveway with asphalt. They came on 11/26 in the late afternoon and started working quickly. We followed their advice and didn't use the driveway for several days. However, we noticed a few issues with the work they did. Firstly, they made an elevation right in front of our new cement slab, which means that snow and rainwater will enter our garage once it's built. Secondly, our estimate included cutting out the asphalt in front of our garage door, but they just filled it up with more asphalt instead. Lastly, we placed a small table with lavender plugs in April, and it sunk into the driveway, leaving holes. The driveway also has tire prints and loose asphalt pebbles in many places. There are holes where it joins Rt 741, and the asphalt wasn't compressed well enough to form a solid driveway. The company told us that applying a seal coat would fix everything, but it didn't.
