On Aug 13th 2020, we signed a contract with Cosmic Renovation and Roofing to renovate my backyard
On Aug 13th 2020, we signed a contract with Cosmic Renovation and Roofing to renovate my backyard. The contract included a new retaining wall and a pool. However, on 10/08, we had a disagreement with the owner of Cosmic, and the contract got canceled. Some of the services were already completed, such as the site assessment, review by a structural engineer, and the application for permits with Ventura County.
We reached an agreement that I, *** would pay $7,200.00 for the services that were performed. In return, I agreed not to file any complaints with the *** or the ComplaintsBoard.com. Additionally, Cosmic Roofing promised to provide me with the plans for my property. I have paid the full amount as requested, but I have not received the plans or any further communication from the company since June 24th. They haven't reached out to me through written communication, email, or phone.
At this point, all I want is to receive the plans for my property or get a refund. I believe this is a reasonable request to resolve the situation.

Watch out for these scammers, man. I hit up Cosmic Renovations and Roofing to get a quote for replacing my roof. The big boss came by on [protected], measured my roof, and we sat down to talk about his plan. I agreed to the terms and we wrote up a contract. I gave him a deposit of $1,000.00 and they were supposed to start the job on 2/18. Then, on Monday 2/15, another Cosmic employee showed up at my place and said he wanted to measure the roof too. I told him the boss already did it, but he insisted on doing it again. So, I was like, "Sure, go ahead." Then, on 2/16, the boss called me up and said he wanted to come over. He said he couldn't do what we agreed on and wanted to jack up the price from $12,000.00 to $30,000.00. He asked me what I thought about that. I told him we had a signed contract and that ain't gonna fly. He then said he wouldn't do the job. These guys just wanna take advantage of old folks and rip people off as much as they can. I highly recommend finding another roofer or contractor for your renovation needs, 'cause these dudes can't be trusted. They're straight-up crooks, man.
