[Resolved] / real nightmare

Me and my friend were moving to UK and wanted to rent a property. We found this website and were really impressed with all the good offers they had. We found an apartment which looked amazing and price was also nice. For us (poor students) that was a great deal so we contacted the landlord and paid for the rent. When we moved in we were shocked because apartment looked terrible! In was in a very poor condition, everything was dirty, furniture looked old and used, it was also smelly. Bathroom and kitchen was full of roaches and other small insects. Well in a few words - that place was a disaster. We tried to get a refund via Uniplaces, but they said that was not their responsibility. They never helped us. And of course landlord was just a scammer who kept all of our money. Uniplaces is even terrible than the guy who scammed us!

    Customer care service did everything in their power to resolve this complaint. All attempts to contact the complainant have failed. Therefore, this complaint has been annulled and must not be considered where image of the company in question and it's services are concerned.

    Would you be so kind to send us an email to [protected]@uniplaces with your booking ID so that we can look over your case again?
    As you know, we give tenants 24 hours to let us know if anything is wrong with the property they booked. After that period, the money is transferred to the landlord and our bargaining power becomes limited. That does not mean we cannot help! We do everything in our power to mediate any given situation and make our customers happy. We hope to get the chance to improve things for you too!
