This company has no data to offer. After going as far as I could with a free site, I signed up for this and paid $29,95. I cannot even find records on people like my late father for whom I have all relevant dates. What a rip-off, I e-mailed them and tried to cancel my membership and got nothing but an e-mail back promising further useless help.-

I paid 20 bucks for a one year membership for this site. I wanted background info on a person and there was no criteria other than name with which to search. Found absolutely no information. Biggest pile of crap product.

I just signed up for a 1-yr membership at $14.99 and my credit card was charged $34.89. After trying to find numerous family members in numerous data bases they provide, 30+ searches came back negative. I believe this must be a scam!

This website is a total Rip Off, and I would like my money back . They had me fool thinking they had a connection to the Gov. until I made the payment then in red they said they were not in connection with the gov. I paid 40 dollars for nothing couldn't find the information that I needed.

This is a total scam/rip off ... all of the searches performed resulted in 'NO RESULT' - rather surprising considering I intentionally conducted searches on known criteria, ie myself and family members! Obviously I am/we are non-existent!

My mistake that AFTER registering and paying for this service, I found other site on the internet purporting to offer the same or similar --- guess what? They are all inter-related with 'recordsarea.com'.

Obviously these scammers have been operating for quite a while ... something needs to be done to stop them and shut their fraudulent operations down! Anyone got any ideas on how we can achieve this?

I bought the minimum membersip yesterday. Tried to obtain two death certificates. I have very specific dates and names. "We have no record." It took me two hours to realize that I have been scamed. I can't find a telephone, e-mail, or street address. I want my money back. When I find the essential information, I'll complain to the FTC in Washington. And Google is going to hear from me for doing business with this outfit.

Last week, I joined Recordsarea thinking that it would help me find some lost relatives. There were no searches found on anyone including myself or it would send me to another site that required more money. I could not find a number so I called Click bank, which is affiliated with Recordsarea along with a lot of other companies, I've found out. Click bank told me they would reimburse my 29.95, this was on 2-19-09 but at my request, they have still not sent a confirmation email.

In the meantime, I had another 29.95 taken out of my bank acct from a place called FitFactory based in Nevada. I finally found out a number for them, I'm not sure if they are affiliated with Recordsarea but I have a feeling they are as they seemed to know quite a bit about this whole mess It seems to me that they are all in on the same scam. But no one will send an email stating that the money will be reimbursed, amazing!

I'm on a fixed income and this has been very stressful for me and I was relieved to find some place like this to report this scam. I hope we all get our money back and something is done to these thieves.

I payed this so called records search company through my credit card and to find out later that you cannot access the website. They took money from me that I could have used at a legitimate place on line. They should not let people do this on line or any where else. They probably are getting rich doing this and don't even have to work at it. I think they should return all the money they have stolen this way and be prosecuted too.

This site has absolutely no information available. I entered basic individual information for a birth and a marriage record. Nothing. I entered just the last name (common name), absolutely no information for anyone with that last name. This site is a rip-off.

Look, people let us put another $24, or $39 collectively together and take these people to our represensitives and get some laws that would put these crooks behind bars for a very long time for knowingly doing thses kinds of things to it citizens.

I have been trying to get my money back for a while now with no luck. What is even worse your company somehow has put my name and address as a contact. I AM the one getting letters of complaint from peoples State Attorney General Office. How could this company post my name, address, phone number and then put my email address as recordsarea.com What a rip...
I am a victim and posted my name, Terrie Lubin, on here along with my address hoping that someone who had the same problem may have info to help. I AM NOT RECORDS AREA. COM AND THE ADDRESS LISTED IS MY PERSONAL ADDRESS. Please quit sending me consumer complaint forms from your States Attorney General! I have NOTHING to do with this company and have not gotten any information from these people that would help me or anyone else. Again I AM A VICTIM also.

I too fell for this blatant fraud. Luckily I didn't pay out too much money but none of the so called information was relevant and when I wrote asking for my money back I received a couple of placatory e-mails but no refund was forthcoming. When I tried to give it another go I found that my password wasn't accepted so contacted Password Retrievals - received activation code etc. but now find I am unable to access the site. How is it that this company is allowed to get away with it - all the ancestry, genealology magazines should carry warnings so that any other poor suckers aren't taken in.

I filled out order and before touching the "CONFIRM YOUR ORDER" button, I decided I better google the company to make sure they were legit. I read the reviews above and was shocked. I cancelled out of the screen, but then 2 seconds later I received a receipt for my order. Discover card told me to call them at [protected] and try to get it reversed. I did get it reversed. The represenative said that the order was placed before the confirmation page, you can't close or use back arrow, becuase the order has already been processed. So really the confirmation button is just a joke.

Recordsarea.c0m problems
I was charged 39.00 and then I called back and asked to cancel.
I emailed over and over again - nothing!

After emailing 10 or so times I decided to call by phone but they have no number and no way to contact except by email - internet. So, then i looked on the clickbank and found a direct phone and called them; they were helpful and did refund my money. I called them Direct: at [protected]. Hope this helps someone.

I also purchased from recordsarea.com and have yet to even find a site to login. It has been almost two weeks since I was promised "instant access to records" and still getting the run around. My biggest concern is, there are complaints on this company all the way back to 2007. How and why have they been allowed to falsely advertise and scam people for so long?

when getting this site is looks as if your getting a different site, http://govvitalrecord.com/ then it comes up after all is said and done as recordsarea.com. you look for something, to start with that you know the info to, what do you get, nadda. You look up birth or death records and you get a picture that tells you how many there are in that area, but thats it, you can't see the ones that are in the area.I found that too look up a name you have to type in some of the name to get all names that start with that combo, but never what you want.they need to have a list of True sites that can be used. that way people can look, should have known better .
