Real Estate Express Real Estate License Course Review: A Total Ripoff with No Refunds

This website is supposed to teach you everything you need to know about real estate so you can get your license. But let me tell you, it's not easy. The site is all text, no videos or pictures or anything like that. So if you're not a fast reader, you're in trouble. And if it takes you more than 10 minutes to read a page, the site will log you out! That's a real pain because then you have to start all over again and find where you left off. And if you forget to bookmark the page, you're really screwed. The bookmark button is at the bottom of the page, not the top, so it's easy to miss. And even if you do remember to bookmark it, you still have to sign in again when the site logs you out.

I have to say, I wouldn't have bought this course if I had known how bad it was. And to make matters worse, they don't offer refunds like they say they do. You have to complete the whole course before you can even think about getting your money back. That's just not fair.

Overall, I would say this website is a total ripoff. It's not user-friendly at all, and it's just a pain to use. If you're thinking about getting your real estate license, I would look for a different website. This one is just not worth the hassle.

Real Estate Express Post licensing course

I took the 45hrs post licensing course (09/2022). I completed it with flying colors, the quizzes, the course final test, all the information given throughout the course, I knew it and felt very confident. However, when it came to the final examination the questions were very confusing and the material seemed that belong to a different course all together, it actually felt as if it was a post licensing for a broker more than a sales agent. I was dumbfounded and very disappointed when I didn’t pass the examination to gain my certification. I went ahead and re read the material and for my surprise I knew this material and many of the questions that were asked were not even mentioned in the course whatsoever. The few questions that I recognized on the material that were in the test I answered correctly. So now I took the second attempt and unfortunately this second test was even more confusing I was hoping this time around the questions would be more in relation to what was given in the course but yet again, they were very hard to answer because they were badly worded and the options in the answers were not clearly written either. So now I will loose my license because I will not have time to retake the course. I know you may say that I had 18 months to do this but unfortunately I had a family emergency that took a whole lot of time from me, and I, honestly, was confident I could pass this because I was passing the quizzes, I knew the information and also passed the course’s final exam the first time and flying colors. Honestly, I hope someone takes action to look more closely and monitor this website, it’s really criminal what they are doing. They are stealing people’s money and wasting their time, which is way more valuable.

Desired outcome: A response.I’ve reached out to them and their answer: “we cannot see the test” It’s your website! I would like the option to be able to take another test that actually has questions in relation to what was taught in the course

Real Estate Express Online course completion certificate errors

After fully completing this horrid course, I sent all 6 of my course certificates to the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC). After two weeks, I receive an email from TREC suggesting that 3 of my course certificates are missing the course start dates which MUST be included... WOW

I'll admit that I did miss the detail myself. However, when considering that it takes Real Estate Express 24+ hrs to review your passed final exam details prior to sending the certificate, I don't find it negligent for one to be under the assumption that said certificate is valid for submission to TREC.

So, I call Real Estate Express' Support and they unsurprisingly suggest they'll open a "technical support ticket" that should be resolved within 24-72 hrs.

If you're in Texas, I'd suggest checking out TREC's, "Provider Exam Passage Rates for Sales Agents and Brokers" BEFORE you decide on your pre-licensing course provider. See link below:

Real Estate Express This is possibly the worst online course I have ever taken

I recently failed my second attempt at the proctored final exam. The final exam is a joke. None of the questions on the final exam are relevant to the course material. They are the worst multiple choice questions ever written.
I am a high school teacher who has two master's degrees. I know something about writing multiple choice questions.
I am signing up for a regular classroom course. Do not waste your time or money on this course.

Real Estate Express Re salesperson course

This company is horrible! Stay away! After starting the course, the software would not work. They tried several times to fix it bit kept having problems. Finally it started working but I had been delayed by about 3 weeks in doing the course. Then after finishing my course I mailed my three certificates to the DRE to get an exam date. After 5 weeks I got a letter from the DRE saying my certificate did not have the correct approval number on it and now my application was delayed an additional 5 weeks! Then Real Estate Epxress sent me the supposedly correct certificate. This company has delayed me by two months. They are completey and utterly imcompetent. They screwed me over royally and are blaming the DRE! STAY AWAY! Horribly Shoddy company!

Real Estate Express Real estate license in texas

I started this course the end of December and I am half way done but the Test in each of the course DO NOT help you with the Test at the end of each course. The only way I feel people pass is if they have had experience in the real estate industry. If you are just starting off I WOULD NOT recommend this online course. Go to a school let them teacher you the terminology and explain to you in details everything. With the money that I have put into this website is ridiculous. If you don't pass the course after two tries you have to pass 100 dollars to take the course again and you have to pay to take the exams at the end of the course. When I started my course those exams were free to take online but haha now you have yo pay. If I had to do it over again I would go to Champions School of Real Estate. I'd probably be licensed by now.

Again:
The exams in each course DO NOT help you at the end of the course exam.
You have to figure out words, phrases, and contract yourself.
You spend about 25 to take EACH exam (6 courses, 2 tries each, & 100 if you do not pass the 2 tries)

I wish the rep on the phone before I purchased this would have told me all of this in the beginning I would have just gone to classes at Champions!

Big mistake Real Estate Express!

Real Estate Express Online principles of real estate course

These people don't have a clue as to what they are doing. I complained to them but everything falls on to deaf ears. I was forced by them to take a national exam in the presence of a proctored which is not required by VA. First I ask to take the National Exam when I took the State Exam at our local PSI center in VA and I was told I couldn't do that. I was lead to believe that the proctored exam score if passed would be sent to my VA center which is was not. After finding out the proctored exam didn't count I ask why did you require the proctor? The reply was it VA Code that the exam be proctored. I searched through the VA Code and could never find any such requirement. I ask Real Estate Express to give me the code that this requirement was under. I was sent a VA Code for a person that was studying to be an instructor. When I challenged them and sent the correct VA code to obtained a real estate license they dismissed it. After pointing out that the qualification for the two different professions were completely different it still didn't matter to them. I was fed up with their resistance to even look at the two different occupations I just gave up. Yesterday I was contacted by again one of Real Estate Express's agents, she said that she thought this matter had been clear up, which it had not, just because I didn't want to continue on didn't mean the matter was clear. When I pointed out to her the differences in the requirement for each applicant. Get this she said "the qualifications are for the instructor teaching the class". I may not have a master degree, but I worked in Federal and State Taxation for 15 years and had to refer to the Codes many times. The Codes are not riddles in which you have to decipher they are written explicit for the intended purpose for which it is written. When she said that I realize none of these people have a clue as to what they are doing. I am surprise that they are in business. I attempted to post this comment on their website but it kept me going around in circles with the wonderful comments about their business, more than likely those comments where as fraudulent and their business model.

I read some of the comments made about this company how great it is. So far I haven't found anything great about it. Even the content of the material seemed to contradict itself occasionally I still was able to get enough out of it to pass the national exam. After accomplishing that I thought I made it made, no such luck. Apparently the information transmitted to my state testing board didn't get this information so I am now scheduled to sit for another 2 1/2 hours be tested on the national level and my state level as well. I have been trying to contact someone at Real Estate Express to fix this error but they don't seem to care. I was able to reach them by phone yesterday and the agent told me that apparently PSI hasn't receive the update with my passing national exam. Well apparently that got what Real Estate Express sent them because I was contacted by PSI that I was now eligible to schedule my state exam. I waiting to hear back from Real Estate Express but my patience is about to run out.

Real Estate Express School

This Experience has been terrible. In 3 months, I've done nothing but study 800 pages of Literature. There is No Rhyme or Reason. Material is all over the place. There are questions in these quizzes and exams that aren't in the supplied documentation. The Layout of the Information is confusing and inconsistent. There are Definitions listed that have 7 Sentences of text that if reworded, could be shortned to 1-2 Sentences. It's overkill on some info and underexplained on other info. I only Joined this School because of the price difference. You always get what you pay for. I wish I took the class in a real classroom setting. I had issues with a section and when I emailed my Online Advisor my phone number asking for help, she responded, " just email your question to me, I don't have time to talk on the phone." I still have her email as proof. I just Completed the National Section and have 800 pages of Documentation printed. I can't believe there is almost the same amount just for the State Portion. There is no way I can complete this amount of rhetoric in 6 months. I have been out of work and have spent 4-6 hours a day studying and I still feel like I can't grasp the amount of information. I don't think the Bar Exam is this hard. Way too much information and not just directly getting to the point.

Real Estate Express Joke of a school

I'm not even sure where to begin other then at the beginning. In a futile attempt to save money I went with Real Estate Express. HUGE mistake. Let's count the reasons shall we. 1) The school does not give you the option of buying any of their materials in print form so you end up printing out what you think you might need. I'm on my 2nd printer and 3rd box of paper since starting this school not to mention the unending supply of ink cartridges I've had to purchase. 2) You might think that you don't need to print everything out. WRONG! Half of the tests have questions that are so convoluted that even with the printed page in front of you it's sometimes difficult to come up with the correct answer. 3) Often times the tests have nothing to do with what you have just learned...NOTHING! 4) Lets talk IT...or should I say the complete and utter lack of any advanced form of technology associated with this program. My 3 year old grand daughter could design a better web site. Allow me to give you an example: I'm logged in, after about 2 minutes the screen disappears, then reappears, then it tells me to log in again, which I do but it tells me I am already logged in and I must log out to log in...over and over and over and over again. They of course have tried to blame this on my computer. When I pointed out I have the issue on 3 different computers they said it's my internet connection. When I pointed out that sometimes I study at home, sometimes at the library and sometimes at my daughters house they stopped responding to my emails. Presumably they are trying to find something else to blame it on. 4.1) There is no search feature, so lets say you are in the middle of an 80 page unit and you run into the previous issues(log in to log out to log in...). In order to get back to where you were you have to go back through all the screens you previously read. 4.2) There is a save feature...that works sometimes and sometimes not so much. So lets say you're on screen 40 0f 80 and you save that screen. When you go back, your saved spot might be there...or it might be a screen that you saves 3 months ago...it's a crap shoot with the save feature. 5) The exams vs the tests. I have friends who have used Kaplan (more about that in a minute) and when they take tests regardless of whether it is a unit quiz or an actual exam they know what questions they answered incorrectly. Which amazingly allows them to go back and restudy that section. With real estate express you get the answers to the quizzes but not the exams after the fact. They are banking on you getting these wrong because in most cases you have two times to the take the exam, after that you pay $25 for each additional exam...still with no idea which questions you are answering incorrectly. And, as I mentioned earlier, the questions are often vague in the truest sense of the word, so not even having an idea of where you are answering incorrect can get pricey. They are always friendly when I complain...and trust me, I've complained. They either say they are working on it or they pretend they don't know they have any issues. My best advice...save your money and go with Kaplan. One of my friends that was taking Kaplan allowed me to access his courses after he was done with them. They are brilliant. Easy to follow, great materials, make sense are well worth the money. Honestly, after having had to replace a printer from so much printing and buying the paper and cartridges I could have easily afforded the Kaplan course. Unfortunately I'm so far into this one already I'll tough it out. Learn from my mistake and skip this on line course.

Real Estate Express This school was my biggest and worst mistake ever!!!

I ordered the package that included "Real Estate Exam Prep" and was unable to use it nor received this

unopened/unused "Real Estate Exam Prep" of which is available to purchased separately. I asked for a refund

for the unopened/unused "Real Estate Exam Prep" that I was unable to get to since I was unable to pass the

rigged final exams. (I went to a local school and already obtained my transcripts after passing the exams on

the first try). The response I get is "Since the Exam Prep Master program was included in the package you

purchased, there is no way to process a refund for it." I never received/seen this unused/unopened "Exam Prep

Master" All I wanted is to be reimbursed for the unused/unopened Real Estate Exam Prep from this sham of a

school!

Real Estate Express Poorly designed

Great Marketing and easy to sign up. That's where the compliments stop. The website is horrible. It has a learning curve that takes hours to learn to use it. It is NON-intuitive and downright impossible to move smoothly through. I find myself spending at least as much time fighting the website as I do working on the material, some days I spend even more time dealing with website problems than studying the course materials.

I'm not one to complain normally. The fact that my instructor has never answered the one and only question I've asked so far bothered me, but I decided to spend an hour or so answering my own question. I did not complain. Hours of lost time chasing around a poorly designed website with tons of operational problems upset me but I vowed to just plow through and not complain. The reason I am writing this today is that I experienced a "last straw" episode. Here's my story:

I had spent over an hour on the math portion of the Math Test. I had answered all of the questions and felt good about it. I clicked to get it graded and it went to a page that said the server was not responding. I tried going back to the test and all of my answers were gone...I was incredibly frustrated. After waiting several minutes for them to answer their phone (I'm sure they were inundated with calls about the server being down) the lady told me, only after I pressed, that the server had in fact HAD BEEN TAKEN DOWN for updates and maintenance. WHY WOULDN"T THEY LET THEIR STUDENTS KNOW when the servers are going to be taken down for updates? I know why. They could care less. The course material itself works for me, although there's no way to know which questions you missed on the big tests I've taken so far. So you can't go back and learn about the subject questions that deal with which questions you missed. That is a MAJOR FLAW.

If you have 120-150 hours to spend on this 60 Hour Credit course (Virginia Licensing), the additional time over 60 hours being necessary and due to technical problems with their website, by all means, go for it. The course itself is actually well designed for my learning ability, other than the major flaw I mentioned above.

I've paid for the course so I plan to complete it, even if it drives me mad. I assure you my ongoing training that is required in my state (CRE) will be done elsehere. Never again.

Real Estate Express Online re school horrible

I signed up the the ca re course, in order to sit for the board test. First, i would like to say that i have sold re in the late 80’s - 90’s and passed my re board test, first try. The first course taken, california real estate principals, i failed. They provide 10 questions after every chapter and 50 questions at the end of all chapters. Not one single question on any of the practice tests were on the final. I knew every single question, every single answer, to every test question they had provided me over 300 questions. I had to wait and retake the test. I reread the information and took the test a second time, i did recognize many of the questions and barely passed the second time. My second class was real estate finance. I read the material, took all the practice tests and took the final. I knew every question and answer from all the practice tests i had taken, over 200 questions. I was very skeptical about the final since my first course had zero of the study questions on it. I failed with a 56% and zero questions recognized from any of the practice tests. I reread the chapters, made notes, (Which i still have.) i retook the test and i recognized about 20% of the questions on the exam. I failed with a 58%. I do not know how to study for exams when you are not given any guidelines from which to zero in what needs to be studied. With over 800 pages of material, i am not able to memorize every single detail. This course needs to emphasize more on the content you need to pass the state exam and supply all that material for you to learn. Maybe teaching practices have changed? Maybe this is more of a common core method. I have taken ca x - ray technician board exam, passed first try. As i said, i took the ca re exam in the 80’s and passed first try. Do not waste your time studying any practice test questions. I wasted my time. Now, they want me to pay another fee in order to get my hours needed with two courses. I wrote, ‘bill’ my advisor and told him exactly what i wrote here. I would not recommend this course to anyone! Perhaps, because they are fairly new to ca re online course, they haven’t worked out all the kinks. I felt like this course deliberately made the course so you will fail and then they can charge you more money.

Real Estate Express Lack of instruction

This is the WORST real estate school on the planet. They are horrible. Their test questions are irrelevant and do not coincide with the EXAM questions and they DO NOT guarantee ANYTHING. The instructors have NEVER returned my emails and they are of NO help to anyone hoping to get their California Real Estate License. My advice to anyone reading this is for you to shop elsewhere for a real estate school.

Real Estate Express Terrible customer service

I didn't sign up for the course thank goodness! I only called to inquire about it and was met with "christin" who seemed to be ticked that she had to speak with anyone today. She was the most unfriendly, unprofessional, and just plain rude! I made up my mind right away that I would not be taking this course at this school ever and would make sure everyone else knew of my experience as well! Just so surprised that they would not teach their people to be more helpful and friendly. Awful awful awful experience!

Real Estate Express Online class

I started with their program to get my salesperson license. Their study process is terrible. You can not start next class if you do not pass the first one. And if you fail for the exam for the class, you have to wait 18 days to take another one. Which means it is going to take you 4-5 months, just to get 3 Classes( assuming that you do pass the class exam at the first time, their final class exam is setting up so difficult that make you easily fail the first time, and their quits are not related to the final exam AT ALL) So after you finished your study, you passes all the quits, and you feel pretty confident about final exam, YOU ARE STILL FAR AWAY from their final class exam and you do not even know where to start to get prepared. The study materials are not related to the final exam at all. Terrible! They will not offer any refund after 7 days trail, even you didnt start their other classes in the package you bought, they charge you STILL! Terrible School.

I signed up with www.realestateexpress.com for online learning courses for California real estate agent exam at $149 yesterday, but have found its NOT good for me after reading the detailed info in its back office carefully after signup. I have asked to cancel it, they say only $99 would be refunded. They have provided NO service to me at all, but keep $50 so called "admin fee". This is a cheating practice.
