MyDollarShop.com / Almost got ripped off!
Actually, I was not ripped of by this company. But I came very close to being ripped off. I actually had my personal information filled in when I clicked on the T & C's. They are currently offering a "Free" online Dollar Shop, but upon reading the Terms and Conditions [T & C's] discovered that this "Free" store which supposedly included the waiving of franchise fees, and training, was $479.40 year [$39.95 x 12] every year.
In addition to the monthly cost, the T & C's require you to opt back in after opting out of receiving third party contact via email and phone. When they make that contact [which the T & C's require you to allow] it constitutes a sale.
There seems to be no physical address to this company. They seem to be using the same service as another company that has "payday" as part of it's name. Basically, if you start to leave the website you get a pop up that supposedly has a live agent. It's the same people, Jenny, Aubrey, etc. on both sites.
These pop ups urge you to buy now and tell you the offer may not be good tomorrow. The Federal Trade Commission requires certain documentation be given at least 10 days before they ask for money when selling a business opportunity. There are only 7 complaints about MyDollarShop on the [redacted]. If I could find a physical address for this company I would also complain to the Better Business Bureau.
