Gutters For Less Poor quality of work and poor customer service

Called for estimate to clean clogged gutters, repitch and resecure as needed. They gave me a 2 hour window of arrival so I stayed home to meet them. When they didn't show up after the 2 hour mark, I called and was told they were running about 2 hours behind. They should have called to let me know this, so I could have done other things during that time and then come home later to meet up with them. They arrived and did the work. The next day, I noticed that the one gutter that is visible to me from our 2 story landing was still completely clogged and had the same amount of several inches of standing water in it that it had when I placed the call for their service. I called back on 2/9 and was told someone would come out in the next few days to take care of it. No apology, and she refused to give me a time frame for when they would return. On 2/13, I noticed that one of our downspouts was no longer secured to the wall and was blowing in the wind. We have lived here for 18 months and that downspout has always been secured. I called back and the same person said she would add it to the work order but still would not give me a time frame for the work to be done. I told her I was not confident that all of the gutters were fixed and cleaned as agreed and wanted the work to be checked the whole way around the house. She said she would make a note and have them fix what was wrong. I asked to speak to a manager or owner and she said that she was one. I again reiterated that I wanted all of the work checked since there was no way for me to get on my roof to see that it was done correctly. She still would not give me an appointment date or time for the work to be done. She also did not apologize for the poor workmanship, and has very poor customer service skills (very rude, sighing loudly with exasperation)

The work was scheduled to be completed on Monday, February 6th by the customer as a PM ticket. A PM ticket for Gutters for Less is between the hours of 12pm to 4pm.

On February 6th the truck was running behind due to a difficult job prior to this one. Afternoon tickets can be difficult because at times there are issues that arise which are out of our control. The truck arrived in their driveway at 4:13PM.

The original estimate was for $600.00, to clean and resecure all gutters and downspouts and check the pitch of the gutters, on the home when our installers were out due to the late arrival and as part of our customer service we lowered the ticket to $400.00 to accommodate for their inconvenience.

On February 9th the customer contacted our office and told us about the one gutter they could see that was still holding water. A pink ticket was created for this and at that time an apology was issued and they were informed that we would have someone out to correct the problem within two to three business days. We were not at the time able to give her an exact appointment for this because of prior appointments our estimators had, but that they could give them a call ahead and let them know they were on their way. A note was also placed on the pink ticket for our repairman to take a look over all the gutters and downspouts to make sure there was nothing else missed.

On February 13th and 10:31am the customer contacted our office about a downspout that had come loose, mind you we had a large amount of wind over that weekend. The woman in the office added the notes to the pink ticket and informed her that it would be looked at the following day because our employees were not working that Monday due to rain. Our office staff told her that we would do our best to call one of our employees in and have them out to take care of the issue that Monday instead of the following day. She began telling the woman in the office that out customer service was terrible and that she demanded to be given an apology. We had already apologized once to the customer and were doing our best to get someone out to fix the problem as soon as possible. As for the “sighing loudly with exasperation” we are not sure what she is referring to, we were trying our best to please her and get the issue resolved but she was not trying to hear what we had to say.

On February 13th at 11:34am one of our employees arrived in her driveway and fixed the two problem areas that she had (downspout loose, one gutter holding water). Everything else on the job was perfect.

We are sorry that this customer feels that we have a poor quality of work and poor customer service. We are a company that has been in business for well over ten years and stand behind our work. We had someone out to their property within three business days, which when they called originally they were told a few business days.

Gutters For Less Poor work

Gutters for Less is exactly that. After one heavy snowfall our front gutter come off the house. We had Gutters for Less replace it. The next snowfall, the gutter that they replaced came off after only about 3 hours of snowfall. They claimed that it wasn't their responsibility. That is unacceptable. The work they do is poor and they do not take responsibility for it. Will never use/recommend them again.

I had damage done to my house from Sandy and need roof repair and gutters. The roofing company used gutter for less for thier work . I had set up an apt for a monday to have my work done. I had to leave my fence gate on for them to get in .The roofing company has asked me to this. I told the roofing company if gutter for less was not coming to let me know as my gate my gate will get damadged in the wind. Well low and behold gutters for less was a no show and my gate door was lose again. OH yeah the roofing company had already damadged the gate once. Well the next day, no once contacted me and I came home to nre gutterand and down spounts. How does on get over a locked fence door . The work on the down spouts were so bad and I cut myself on the metal. I call gutter for less the nest day and asked wbout their install and out come for what I had done. She did not know I just has work done. After she told everthing she asked if she could help me, I said yes fix the job from yesterday. She said it had to go through roofing company and I said what about the warrarnty on your site. Next thing... her computers were down. BS ! have a black wire hanging in front of my house, the downspouts are not properly put together and all messed up. I wrote down how she told me they were to look and be installed... I know its not like that ! My next step is the Main office!

Gutters For Less Money scam

Contracted for Gutters for Less to remove downs puts and gutters. They came charged me 1/3 and only removed gutters. They left the downspouts as well as pieces of metal in the yard. That Saturday someone was injured when stepping on the metal. They refuse to call me back to work this out. They have not returned my calls or letter. They still have my money.
