Grand Crowne Resorts Rip off

They Bothered me till I agreed to do one of theie vacations and I picked pigeon forge cabin. The deal was to listen to their sales pitch.. When I picked my date the lady said ok that the dates I picked were ok but I had to pay a refundable deposit of 75 dollars. I had alread paid for the trip but agreed. Then they call back a week later saying it will be another 150 dollars because the last day of my stay was patriots day. Needless to say I asked for my money back the lady said no. So don't let these people scam anyone else.

Grand Crowne Resorts Timeshare fraud

In Nov 2008 we purchased a timeshare from Grand Crowne Resorts in Ambergris Caye Belize. At some time between then and now, Grand Crown parted ways without any notification to members. I am unable to receive services I have paid for. Since December 2010, I have attempted to call and email to arrange for my contracted week and cannot reach anyone.

What needs to occur for anyone to get what they paid for? Since my contract was written under Grand Crowne are they partially responsible? My contract originated with Grand Crowne and nothing was received transferring ownership from them.

Grand Crowne Resorts Misrepresentation

I went to sells presentation. A man told me that I could use cabins until the resort was finished free of charge ( a lie!). I could use 15 other facilitie free of charge (a lie!). The $800 dollars that I paid up front was all I owed for the next two years other than my monthly payments (a lie). I recieved an additional bill about 30 days later for over $400 for maintance fees. I was told that I could bank points for later use (a lie). You can only bank points for one year. I was told that I would recieve a free cruise, only if free means $500. I am now out for $2800 and the only way that I can stop bleeding money is to pawn it off on some other unluck smuck. I tried to sell it back to the resort and they will not buy it, because I have not paid for it in full.
Do not trust anything that this company says, record the conversation and read the entire 10 page contract.

Grand Crowne Resorts unathorized credit card charge

i recieved a call from grand crowne resorts/leisure selling cruises. I was told that i could purchase a cruise on my crerdit card with 30 days to cancel. when I got the paper work I called to cancel and I was told i needed to send all the paper work back to them and they would remove the $499.00 charge.I did as i was told and sent everything back and sent it certified mail so I have a tracking number. I sent the paperwork back on july 06 2010. the tracking number is [protected]. the charge was on my july statement. the credit card company called me and told me i was being charged for it. A carnival cruise by grand crowne resort, i called the number listed on the bill and it was a recording where a man named Dan harold said to leave a message, without any mention of being a business. no one ever called me back.

Grand Crowne Resorts Timeshares in Branson Missouri

I am putting this information on here for anyone thinking of purchasing a timeshare in Branson, Missouri. I went thru the usual come stay and tour with them in July of 2003. I did purchase a one bedroom timeshare for $8750.00, deposit of $875.00 dollars that day of July 19th 2003. When I seen the interest rate on the contract, it was 16.90 % which was outragious at that time. I went to my bank, took out a loan with a 6% interest and paid off the timeshare on August 18th, 2003 to save myself $8908.00 in finance charges. This would have made the total cost of the one bedroom, $18, 047.00 by the end of the finance period.So please read carefully the contract. I was told that I had 7 days worth of time to spend in the timeshare with my week being week 17 which is September1-August 1. Ask me have I ever gotten to use my timeshare that week in 7 years! NO, I HAVE NOT!
I have tried to have them rent my unit out, only to be told "NO ONE WANTS TO RENT THIS UNIT" yet every time I call to book a date, they have no openings! You want to know why? Because they are too busy putting the units up for promo units all year to sell more units! Therefore you, the owner who has paid in full, become a second class citizen! I tried to get them to let my son use my golf course privledges and that too became a major issue! I had to pay $139.00 this last year around Christmas to be able to come to Branson to meet family there, why pay you say, because again, there were no openings for the owners because the paying public had 1st access to the timeshares! Next, I lost over $1500.00 trying to sell this timeshare on 2 occassions, and then tried to get the timeshare to sell my ownership, but again was told, 'NO ONE WANTS TO BUY THESE THINGS, THERE ARE TOO MANY FOR SALE, AND EVEN IF I DID SELL IT, I WOULD LOSE AROUND $5000.00 OF THE MONEY I HAD PAID FOR IT!So basically, here it is in a nutshell;
DO NOT LET THEM BULLY YOU INTO BUYING SOMETHING YOU WILL NEVER HARDLY GET TO USE OR RE SELL, THERE IS NO PROFIT FOR KEEPING THE TIMESHARE AS INVESTMENT AS TOLD TO ME, NOR WILL THE PROMISES MADE AT THE POINT OF SALE EVER COME TO FRUISION! I am now stuck with something I bought as an investment only to find out it is a BURDEN INSTEAD! Plus lets not forget those Matainance fees you will be losing every year, and the timeshares show little signs of improvement in the upkeep of them or the contents!

Me and my husband were in Pegion Forge TN. We love to visit there I am telling everyone don't get sucked into there lies. We bought in 2013 in Pegion Forge, but own in Branson Mo. Oh believe me the guy giving the "spill " on how good of a deal it was lied the entire speech he gave. We never once have used it because we bought for TN and for Branson. And the entire time he stated you will have to pay no other fees total lie! Don't buy from these people. It's a complete rip off! Now you can't talk with anyone in Surrey you have to go through Capital Resorts! We were told that day the man who owns them we would never be given to another company! Lies is what your told to get into there timeshare! Beware please your stuck with bull! Oh and another thing is if you do buy for some stupid reason ask for loan papers up front not get them in mail pass the date you can get out of it!

Grand Crowne Resorts The lied to the Attorney General, Missouri

We paid our maintenance fees in total. We started getting late fee bills from Grand Crowne Resorts. We did not pay them because we did not owe them. We finally wrote the Attorney General, Missouri regarding the fees. Grand Crowne wrote back to the Attorney General calling me a liar and stating that they were not billing us late fees. Today we got another bill from Grand Crowne for late fees. Now I have proof.

We were scammed as well, we purchased a timeshare in Pigeon Forge and were told that we had a certain week every other year. All the paperwork they sent us says we have a timeshare in Branson MO. We attended an owners meeting in Myrtle Beach, whic was nothing more than trying to get more money out of us. The saleman there told us we didn't have enough points to book in Pigeon Forge, he said he was going to chew out some people in TN for not telling the truth. Then he tried to get us to pay more, telling us that it would fix the peoblem. We turned them down, then they were done with us, told us we were making a big mistake. I have also found out that thye haven't built what they promised in Pigeon Forge. I have tried to cancel and I get no response from them at all. I am planning on going to their next owners meeting they invite me to, but I'm not going to attend. Instead I am going to stand out front with a sign, and all my papers and inform the attendees of their rip off scheme.

I was just scammed by grand crown resorts in pigeon forge tn 3 / 12 / 15 please call me if you have, [protected] i live here and they prayed upon me and lied to me because i have a aneurism in my aorta just diagnosed and ii wanted to spend my last times with 13 grandkids and our children other wise couldn't afford to do this, they lied said they could get us a vacation 1st week of june 2015 they said we will call you back with the place on the beach, they never did called 2 wks later said what was those dates again they let our time to cancel go by, by promising they was booking it, now we are locked in and couldn't go to the beach until maybe oct, in the winter and kids back in school, they sent me a paper to cancel a month later and i turned in books but never got membership. Card, yes i have the names of the two that lied to us also call me ! They are crooks, i have a lot more to tell about this call me send me your name e mail be glad to talk to you i am going to the state of tn where they get their licenses to sell and show my medical condition also they didn't care, just about the money, now my health insurance is going to be canceled end of june, ! They sent me a bill to pay $708. 00 maintenance fees for 2015 and 2016, and cant afford this and not have anything, lets work together and stop this, i talked to their fiance office today to cancel this said they would not, and had even had me send material back a month later and send them certified letter i was cancelling even after they knew the date i bought and the time had passed to cancel them. I have spoke to an attorney also, so lets get this out here ! Linda, harold otto sevierville tn 37862 don't buy from capital resorts in pigeon forge tn, big scam call me ! Going to the state board and on tv if i have to ! Yesterday 5 / 12 / 15 they sent me a bill for $708 maintenance fees for 2015 and 2016 and i canceled as they said and now they say they wont cancel me and i will owe these fees and i turned all books and materials back to them as they asked, i have posted signs about them everywhere in pigeon forge about them so others wont be took ! ! Call me i have name of excellent attorney that i heard can win them in court calling in the morning he has others filing on capital resorts also

Grand Crowne Resorts Bait and switch fraud

My wife and I booked a trip 10/17/09. The package is called the Dixie Stampede package. Included were 2 tickets. Once you fullfill the timeshare program you are supposed to get the tickets. They did not have them. Next, they say - "Well all we have are". By this time we could not even book our on ticket. Some fat blonde was very rude.

Company will screw you over for the smallest reason. THe employees some are the low life of the city. Do not care who they hire as long as they save money. A lot do not speak ENGLISH. Human resourses a joke do not follow company policy. Does what they want to. Supervisors do just about everthing they want to do, as long as it will keep there job. Dont care for there employees.
Make up excuses to fire good hard working people, dont do you job get along great, Come to work drunk its ok. No drivers licenses ok. Lie on work log OK. Just a few examples... Stay away from jobs here also there TIME SHARES bad news.

Grand Crowne Resorts Misrepresentation by sales person

we purchased a time share from Grand Crowne resort in Aug of 2009, we were told that we could come down anytime and visit and not use our points that we purchased with the timeshare. We would of course have to pay a small fee when we stayed, but would be able to use the facility, with a 24 hour notice.
I called down to make reservations today and there is no room available unless we wish to pay $299. Well, we have already paid over $11, 000 for the use of this place and now they have no room. Last week we received a phone call from Grand Crowne offering me 4 days and 3 nights in a Condo at no charge, I told her I would make arrangements with friends and call her back today. I took off of work as did my friend for next week, I called the lady back and booked the condo and at the end of the call she says that I must bring my husband because she is from marketing. Well, how can marketing have room in the inn, but no room for owners?What a ripoff, if you choose to go to Grand Crowne for the 90 minutes sales talk, take a recorder and make sure you get what the salesperson says, you won't ever hear it again, and it won't be accurate. It will change once you sign that contract, oh and by the way, that getaway package that you purchased cannot be used for one year after you purchase it, I was told that today after 3 hours on the phone with people trying to get a room. I never did get one either. But they do have my money, I paid it in full, so after paying $11, 500 for a timeshare, I will have to stay in a different motel in Branson, does this make sense? and yes, I did call every phone number on this paperwork.

Done with them! Has there been a lawsuit filed before we contact a lawyer! Not giving them another year of our time!

Completly Fed up with Grand Crowne and the dishonesty of this company.
I am tired of all the sales promises and false information given to me every time I speak to
anyone associated with Grand Crowne resorts. I am tired of the same excuses over and over
regarding the building of a resort, a water park, etc.

We went to a time share meeting in the spring almost 15 years ago to receive discounted tickets for area attractions. Said presentation was supposed to be 90 minutes or less and we were there for 4 plus hours. (Later in this complaint you will read about what my wife went through during this process). We were told that the construction of cabins, and indoor waterpark, and
luxery guest center would be completed within a year. Now isn’t that funny here in 2019! We have gone to Pigeon Forge was 11 of the last 15 years and told them this was the case and why we were only interested in staying after the presentation to sit down and ask a few questions and state the only way we would consider purchasing the time share was we plan on coming to Pigeon Forge every year! Imagine our disappointment year after year of visiting Pigeon Forge and driving up to check on the progress only to find there is none and I highly doubt they have intentions to do so!

This is how dishonest this company is! As stated we go to Pigeon Forge every year we can and have stopped in there 2 different times to CONFRONT them FACE TO FACE and in front of potential customers. (never once making a scene just looking for some conclusion) Each time we were rushed to an office, apologized to and offered to put us up at another local business. Caught them here as well. I am a business man and lying will find you. Soon as I walked in to the first place called ahead and “got us a great deal” I walked in without giving my name and asked how much it was a night. Not a surprise it was the exact same price Grand Crowne told us and the great deal they got us. My wife said just leave it alone for now and let enjoy our stay in Pigeon Forge. Fast forward to the next year and we are again rushed into an office and given the same scam talk. This is when I confronted them and said you obviously do not remember us because we had this same talk last year! I told them to save their breath and we would be contacting the BBB first and then our lawyer!

Lets’ back up to the day of the purchase and share this story! You want to talk about pressured and then TOLD we had to stay because we had already put a deposit down! Our daughter was 3 months old and my wife was breastfeeding. We were told the process would take an hour at most after the presentation. Lie! My wife was in tears, they pressured us to stay, after giving them a check for deposit and signing some papers my wife needed to breastfeed our daughter. This is when things turned south quick and we tried to leave. My wife asked me to please cancel the transaction and we could come back another time. Grand Crowne was not having this! The salesman and other members of the financing team and leaders were overwhelming to say the least and kept pressuring my wife to stay and just breastfeed in one of their restrooms on the toilet! I asked them if we could go ahead and cancel and return another day. They said it will only be a few more minutes. My wife could wait no longer and went to the restroom to breastfeed our daughter. After she came out I could tell my wife had been crying as could they! They apologized and said the paperwork was almost complete! It was not! We were there for another hour and sat through the last bit of paperwork with our daughter crying in my wife’s arms because she could not walk her outside because she had to sign papers as well.

Now lets’ fast forward again! This timeshare was paid in FULL when we returned from our vacation that year! Over the years we have repeatedly been told about all the wonderful things they will give us and apologies! But also they love to try and skirt around their paperwork! They lied to us and after much research over the years they have lied too many! We asked for our full payment we made for the timeshare to be returned and the maintenance fees be waved because we were NEVER able to use it! Again they know this because we stopped calling and confronted them twice! Wish I was enough of a jerk to tell all the people that were there both times we had to drive 6 hours twice to confront them on the scam they pulled and continue to pull.

I too would be interested in a lawsuit against these people. They have been lying to people since [protected] about the clubhouse and pool and all these wonderful things they are going to do in Pigeon Forge. They insinuate that if you don’t buy during your presentation, that the points will cost more in the future. This is a violation of Tennessee law stating it is illegal for them to tell you this will go up to persuade you to buy in now or lose out. The Tennessee State Attorney General needs to shut them down and run them out of the state. They got us for more than $10, 000 in 2014 and we haven’t been able to use a single point to stay anywhere in their properties. They say, “be flexible” we can’t be flexible, we have a child in school and we both work, our schedules are hard to change to use their properties when no one else wants to use them. Our fabulous “Family Memories” have been nothing but regret and the memory of being suckered into their deal. Goodluck, Robert Collins

I would also be interested in joining a class action suit against Capital Resorts for misrepresentation, emotional manipulation, and fraud. As a start, we should pursue a media troubleshooter to air these complaints on TV and the internet with us providing the names of the salespeople who scammed us.

My husband and I would also be very willing to join a lawsuit against Grand Crown/Capital Resorts. We've owned since 2014 and are currently in a battle about a new fee they are calling "facility fees" Nowhere in any of my contract paperwork is there anything called a facility fee. We were told we would have to pay maintenance fees and club dues. There was one year free of Capital Lifestyles they were giving us when we signed, but we were told and have an agreement saying it was a voluntary program and after the first year we were not obligated to continue it. They are now combining the bill of the club dues and the facility fees and it's $294! When I asked what the heck facility fees were they said it was the Capital Lifestyles program and instead of it coming in two bills they were combining it on one bill. THE CAPITAL LIFESTYLES WAS VOLUNTARY WHEN WE PURCHASED! I do not want to pay for it but they are now saying it's no longer voluntary and there is nothing we can do about it. Pay it or they are sending us to collections. THIS COMPANY IS A COMPLETE SCAM! STAY AWAY!

Please be advised that My Free Travel will be unable to honor any rebates redeemed on or after December 1, 2009. This is due to an extremely high response rate to the program. The responses received have far exceeded numbers anticipated by our projections and this has resulted in a shortage of funds to meet required payments. We will continue to attempt payment for any qualified rebates that have been submitted prior to December 1, 2009.

I am an owner and I have had several issues with our time share so far. We purchased in Pigeon Forge, TN in 2014. I cannot use my points hardly, there is no availability, even several months in advance, and customer service is horrible. I have also been assessed a facility fee on my most current club due statement? I don't even know what that is! I am thoroughly disappointed with our deal, and have felt scammed from the start.

We bought Grande Crown in Pigeon Forge in 2012. We are staying here as I write this. We went to an "owners update meeting" where a guy from Capital Resorts tried to get us to upgrade. He started by saying that 98% of Grande Crown owners had switched to Capital Resorts, which had taken over the development and that our maintenance fees would go through the roof because people were leaving Grande Crown. Later, he presented us with the financial proposal which would have us paying an additional $8000 to $14, 000 for more points and maintenance and other fees two to three times what we're currently paying, and we wouldn't pay maintenance fees to Grande Crown any longer. When I pointed out that the proposal didn't give me credit for my equity and asked if the upgrade rolled in my loan, he said oh no, I would still be a Grande Crown owner. Obviously, I caught him in a bunch of lies. He then told me that if I don't upgrade, I will only be able to book in one of the original three buildings and not the entire resort. That itself is a breach of contract. I did NOT upgrade. Since Capital resorts appears to be administering Grande Crown properties now, I'm waiting to see if they try to retaliate against me by jacking up my maintenance fee or not booking future reservations.

I want to be in on a lawsuit, also been a supposed owner since Sept of 2012 have never been able to get reservations and they have never expanded the cabins in Pigeon Forge, TN. Straight up BS.

Grand Crowne Resorts Gasoline Redemption Card

If you received a bogus gasoline redemption card from Grand Crowne as I did last Fall, I suggest you do the following:
1. File a complaint with the Florida Attorney General and become party to a class action suit against the company that issued the bad cards; and,
2. Write to the CEO of Grand Crowne and request that they replace the bogus card with a new one that actually works.
