GoDaddy web hosting

I contacted Godaddy several weeks ago to migrate my various websites to them. BIG mistake. I was assured by the Godaddy staff member I spoke to - Shannon Carter - that I need just give them permission to effectively bill me for the services and they would do the rest. We started the whole process, including giving all necessary data for the migrations to Godaddy, and I gave permission for them to migrate the sites for a fee.

However, after this he became un-contactable - both by the email I had been contacting him through and via the telephone (there will be records of the messages I sent to him via other call center personnel).

My websites - that I earn a living from - are now offline, as this process is still not resolved - and nobody at Godaddy appears to care. I explained the situation to someone else today who told me they would 'get back to me in five minutes' and never did. I then spoke to Chase Philips at the call center and he appeared completely useless. The urgency of getting the websites up and running appeared to be totally lost on him. He sat there telling me "don't interrupt me" when I was trying to explain the likely status of the various sites. We got nowhere and I had to leave the call to see a client.

So my websites - and therefor to a large degree my livelihood - are down and out and GoDaddy seems not the slightest bit interested. My Godaddy customer number is [protected]. They do not appear to have a Complaints Department, so where do I go from here?

GoDaddy wordpress developers package

My website was taken down and I called to ask why, they stated that the auto renewal was turned off. I did not do this and have been charged 241 pounds to restore my sites, this is unacceptable and fraud . Turning of the auto renewal and then saying I need to pay 241 to restore these

I would like these charges cancelled and the website to be restored

I have been speaking to a number of representatives and they have not been helpful

GoDaddy sponsorship to danica patric

I hope you made the right decision to bring her in on your team. Last March in Las Vegas My son walked up to Danica with a Go Daddy Car in his hand to have her sign. She said no and would not have anything to do with Go Daddy. A total disrespect of a sponsor she had in the past and some how she got it back Resolution would be to offer my son a signed car

GoDaddy mis-sold products

I was provided your email when asked to make a formal complaint. Last week I renewed a number of my products I have with Go Daddy with me upgrading from the personal website builder to business. It's important I start from the very beginning...

In November I was informed after a live chat/phone call (I can't remember) that based on me being only person needing to use the office 365 that I could downgrade from business to another option. That option, I cannot remember, but it was cheaper. Last week this option was no longer available to me and so had to pay for the full business office 365.

In December I received two/three phone calls selling me Go Daddy products both with my renewal and extra products that I may need. One of my main questions was around upgrading my website to have more function and able to drop downs my website tabs. At that time I was told that I could do this, however i would have to build the website in the background and then when the personal website builder expires it which switch or make the business one live. One big issue with this is a year of my website operating means all the work i have done along with a third party would be gone.

So that was my understanding until last week.

Last week I had a phone call about renewing my products and which ones I would need to operate my business and ensure my visibility. Initially, the gentleman was good with the information and very importantly I could upgrade from personal to business website builder without any effects to my website. But Go Daddy does not provide an options for the website to have drop down tabs. This goes against the information I was provided in December. Also, I could not downgrade the office 365 from business to the next product as what I had was the lowest option. He did ask whether I use excel, word etc. to which i replied ‘yes'. Very confused about this based on the communication I received in November. I had no choice but renew the email and office 365 at the quoted price.

Back to the website builder. I was informed that by upgrading from personal to business I would add SSL, Paypal and SEV. I thought this sounds great and a little confusing but I continued to ask the gentleman on three occasions that I will now have an SSL, Paypal and SEV for my website. Every time I asked he confirmed I ‘yes'. At no point did he explain the SEV for my website and SEV product that provides a SEO checklist and a host of other services were in anyway different. You know they are distinctly different in there functionality and what information/reports/data they provide. Luckily I looked at a few things today and it was still saying to renew my SEV. This obviously prompted me to contact Go Daddy this morning in chat and in a phone call, the two people I chatted with and spoke with had no idea. This then prompted me to contact Go Daddy again and chat with some different. This time I was getting answers and finally figured out that the SEV I was sold along with the business website builder was not the same as the SEV I had. I had no option but to purchase the SEV because if i didn't then my first year of my website climbing the search engines ranks would of been wiped.

I also received an email today based on my phone call you will see this attached. It recommends me not to use the SEV that I purchased/free last year to not renew. This provides evidence that Barbara has no idea the effects it will have on my SEV/SEO's.

As you can read though my email I was provided with contradicting information, with some of the information being lies and very importantly not being told by purchasing an upgrade gives me less usage/functionality as the SEV sits separate.

I feel extremely let down by all the conversations (apart from the conversation with the person who passed me your email address) and phone calls I have had with Go Daddy and it has taken all day today to investigate as well as a few hours last week based on what was renewable, what options and at what price.

I do not have the time as I also believe Go Daddy helps customers optimise products to work for the their clients. This has not happened and I am now out of pocket for the renewals I didn't think I needed based on no explanation and lost a day of business.

It would also be interesting for the phone call recordings to be used as evidence to my claim.

GoDaddy website builder plan - bait & switch

I set up a domain through Go Daddy. I was later contacted by the company to tell me I had not set up the proper type of account. The rep's name was Jeanne.

The rep was to cancel the improper account and set up the account that could be used for sales. The quoted cost was around $250.00.

I followed the directions given to me by Jeanne. I was later billed $383.00 for multiple accounts. I did not authorize multiple accounts and certainly did not authorize payment of $383.00.

I contacted Go Daddy within 30 days to cancel the trial. The service was not useful to me. The services have never been used.

I spoke with Eric who told me I had set up multiple free trial accounts within 20 minutes of speaking with the rep. This makes no sense.

Per Eric, company policy is to do nothing. Thus, I consider Go Daddy to have stolen $383 from me and without recourse.

GoDaddy website degrading

Ever since I moved my website to your hosting service. My web site ranking degraded and it does not appear for the words "ELEBATOR ACCIDENT " Your customer support do nothing. Other trying to sell me other services to rectify this issue
This e-mail is a loud and clear warning message prior to take further action

GoDaddy refund

I can not believe how horrible GoDaddy or shall we say #NoDaddy is to it's loyal customers. I was told I could have a refund for the website design at the initial stages, I was also told I would have an account manager and copywriter. Long story short I started this Journey in 1 Septt 2017, today is the 15 Dec 2017 and I have no website + I am $5, 000 down the drain. GoDaddy are crooks and stole my money, the offered to give me a 30% refund and keep the rest. Disgusting, this is the treatment I would expect from a dodgy little place not a brand name like GoDaddy. I am fighting my case and have involved Bob the consumer man here in San Diego. Shocking DO NOT USE GODADDY ever...There are so many other fantastic firms to use like Google, Microsoft. GOOD BYE NODADDY... just keep on saying NO to loyal customers, I am just a start up so they are refusing to deal with me or give me back my money.

GoDaddy service

Godaddy service is really very bad. I have issue with verifying my email address and non of their staffs can help.

Customer is very important to you? I doubt so. I waiting for 24hrs saying that I will be guaranteed that the email verification will be sent to me. However, after more than 24hrs of waiting nothing was even sent.

They can sent through their spam mails of their stupid promotion but they cannot even verify my email! How ridiculous is this! I've tried to resend so many many many times until I'm so frustrated.

The best thing I called their hotline saying that the wait was 5mins. Guess what the call was 25mins of waiting. Plus problem is not even solve until now. I will not use godaddy in my entire life anymore and will be transferring out all my domains I have with them.

The best service I ever have is from siteground. Their service is top notch! Even if they have disappointed me once but they do have a very very good customer service that I do not even feel like leaving and don't mind paying more money to them!

Thank godaddy you sucks!

GoDaddy hosting at godaddy - telephone support was useless

Just spoke to the most unhelpful and obtuse telephone agent for hosting ever. Call was approx 09:30 ACDT (Australia). Date was 7.12.17.

Kept insisting that my account was hacked and was unable to comprehend what I was explaining. Agent refused to believe that an old version of the website had been retrieved.

Her attitude and telephone manner was appalling. We both agreed she didn't possess the 'ability' to help me at the end. Complete doughnut. Customer ID [protected].

GoDaddy the selling of my domain after I have had it for 13 years

Go Daddy Complaint Department:
To Whom it may concern;

I recently lost access to my domain name and e-mail address that I have used as my primary for over 12 years now. I was not given proper notice of the exp date compared to the many other domain names I have owned and operated over the years. I did not even notice that anything was wrong with my Domain name until my e-mail address kept bouncing back from the many clients who were trying to reach me and access our unique luxury services. When I contacted Go Daddy the representative notified me that there is now a new owner of my Domain name as I did not renew it in the time given. I was also not allowed per the new buyer to even use my [protected]@homesrun.net e-mail forward for a short period of time. In essence I was put out of business instantly. I want to know why Go Daddy did not give me proper notice as they have done with all of my other Owned Domains? I also want to know that even under the 30 day quiet period that Go Daddy did not reach out to me again regarding my interest in renewing a Domain name that I have owned for well over 12 Years. Andy why is the Buyer of my Domain Name using my Logos and actual text to infringe upon me and my business on top of the theft that I believe truly happened here. I would like to know what I need to do in order to get my Domain name returned

I as of yet have not heard one thing from Go Daddy regarding this huge error in taking my Domain and selling it because they got an offer they felt it worth it for them to circumvent me in order to profit more from my Domain name with a buyer on standby.

GoDaddy hosting and website files

Go daddy will not release my website files with out a payment for $150 dollars even though i paid for back up services. My credit card expired and I didn't get any notifications. The deactivated my site and now want to charge me even though I paid for back up files. I've been a loyal customer for years. Please help. Im really disappointed in the service

I called to complain about a wrong charge made to my credit card and was very badly attended by Mr Marc (and it was at 10:30pm EST Nov 24th). My card was charged for an auto-renew that was not setup for such. As he goes very arrogantly OBVIOUSLY the auto-renew was setup. I said it wasn't and I am very sure it wasn't, even it gives an option to set it up, but he cannot admit the customer to be right. Ridiculous and horrible service.

GoDaddy web service

I have contacted Go Daddy three times and each time have been put on hold for over 40 minutes. The last time I spoke to an Irish chap who very kindly rang me back, but could not solve my query. I have been unable to edit my web page, I am being told it has dropped out of the system and I only have one page set up but I have been a user of this web page through yourselves for a number of years and my site consists of multiple pages.

I originally contacted Godaddy on 21st November, then 22 November and 23rd November. Today on 24th November the problem is still not fixed. I need to lot into the system to edit the website.

GoDaddy renewal process

I tried to access my website 'carrotsandclaret.com' today and was unable to. I logged into GoDaddy and saw that my domain registration had expired. My first complaint is that I received no notification of this. I have been with GoDaddy for several years and I usually receive email notification.

I called GoDaddy support (the UK number), renewed and asked why I wasnt notified. I was told that four emails were sent. I checked my email meticulously and they weren't. So I had to pay a recovery fee I was told by the operator that my website would be up and running in ten minutes.

When I called back at approximately 13.45 today I spoke to Michael. He was very rude and practically called me a liar saying that the previous operator wouldnt have told me that. I was extremely angry. If I had got this rude person the first time I wouldnt have renewed.

I have attached the post from your AZ Employee james lewis. This post was made on 10/31 and was racist in nature. I am sending this message first before I forward this to media outlets and inform them of a godaddy representatives view of black people.

GoDaddy website development

Buyer beware. GO daddy website development is a complete scam. I was sold a package at approx $2, 000. Turns out half the promised functions are not actually included. Worse still, two months later and they have not provided a draft even though they promised one in 10 days from receipt of my content. Then they refused to refund the purchase price, but only after ignoring my repeated requests for updates on the website and a refund for two weeks.

GoDaddy domain management

On 4th October I received an email from the company telling me "Your registrant domain name change is pending" for my 8 domains registered with them and including the email address of the alleged new registrant with the warning "Important: If you cannot sign in to your account or someone made unauthorized changes, call our support team at [protected]."
I followed their instructions and called the support team who have basically sent me round in circles for the last 9 days refusing to reinstate my domains - it was their system that was hacked as my access information for their site has never been shared with anyone and my computer has not been hacked. It has reached a totally ridiculous level of communication where they are refusing to reinstate my domains - all of which are business critical and they have effectively crippled my businesses for 9 days with no email - because they will not accept a black and white scan of my passport insisting on a colour copy and insisting that my passport is not even sufficient identification. Frankly I have never, in almost 50 years of business, experienced such incompetent, unprofessional, and ignorant customer service.

GoDaddy unethical behaviour

I received a deactivation notice for no reason I renewed by products on time on Monday October 9th.
I spent over an hour trying to call someone with no luck as I was put on hold for long time.
Then a chat analyst finally tells me it was an error.
This occurred today at 10:00am est my account number is [protected]

Very disappointed to go thru this and spent an hour of time for no reason.
