ginnys stole money off my credit card
Oh Lord I wish I had seen all the complaints over the internet before I ordered a blanket from Ginnys in Madison Wisconsin. These people are theives. I supposidly was on their choose and charge plan and they were SUPPOSED to take $10 off my credit card. I asked the guy 3 times if that is all they take off, and he said YES. I checked my balance the next day and they took $100! I am livid. And YES the customer service is ridiculously rude. This place needs to be shut down. Of course the ordering part is open over the weekend, but conveniently the people that deal with the credit are not there until Monday. I contacted the BBB and I had better get my money put back in my account. Ginnys has a hold on it. I will NEVER order from here nor should anyone . And I will never give anyone my credit card info either.

Ginny's gets an "F" for poor customer service. And it gets a double "F" grade for poor website design that makes it impossible to pay your bill. Sometimes it works and other times it doesn't work. When you call to make payment, make sure you call midday because they don't answer the phone and you get a recording that says "call back later." Their customer service staff are rude and unapologetic for the kinks in the business practices. I also found accounting mistakes on my bill. Over all, if you want to be frustrated and if you like having difficulty paying your bill on time, by all means shop at Ginny's. Otherwise, don't waste your time or money.

I also paid off my bill at ginnys an it is still marked collections and cant get no response I have found Montgomery wards great to do online shopping if something was broke when I received it I called them very friendly staff very aplojetic to me also sent back paid return shipping boxes to return if I ever need anything it sure wont be ginnys
I agree about the customer service...it is not there. I have had no problem with the bill pay. I am having problems with getting any answers. You email them and the don't answer...you call and you can't get through. Ginny you need to improve you customer service, before everyone starts shopping somewhere else...There is a lot of better places to shop and you are not worth the frustrations. I give them an F for customer service and a D for their other efforts if any

I called Ginny's customer service line on 8/27 when I opened my email and saw an order acknowledgement, for this company, whicn I had never heard of. I spoke to a very rude customer service rep named theresa- I tried to explain to her, that my dad ordered this race car, with me as the person that the bill would be sent to and I never authorized this. She kept saying well I must have and so on and then told me I was being rude, when I said I wanted this order cancelled and then she hung up on me.
I was extremely angry at my father, but apparently there was a Ginny's catalog with my name in it at my parent's home- but I never heard of Ginny's before. Turns out that a swiss colony catalog that I ordered months before I moved out of my parent's home never came, instead this Ginny's one came in place of Swiss Colony long after I moved. And my father called Ginny's to order the race car, told them the magazing was in my name and asked that the billing and shipping information go to him. They told him they would put everything in his name, but didn't.
I'm 23 and have really good credit, I'm saving up to buy my own home when I'm out of law school for a few years, so I don't go around ordering silly things and I was in a panic when this 50 dollar item showed up on my email address with a bill later notice.
After Theresa hung up on me, I had my bf call them back, b/c I was too steamed to talk. He went to the fraud dept to speak to lori- who transfered him to customer service to speak to Terry who said the order could be cancelled b/c it hadnt shipped yet. My bf asked for a cancel confirmation number and she wouldnt give him one- which made me uneasy. Terry said she cancelled it and the packers would see a cancellation notice when they printed the label out and they wouldn't put the item on the truck. Well just an hour ago I get an email confirmation saying the item was shipped. I sent an email to Ginny's about their incompetent employees and will be calling in the morning to speak to someone who has more intelligence than the people I had spoken to on 8/27. I am also going to report them to the BBB and when my father gets the item he will be sending it back or sending them a money order in full, b/c I shouldn't have to pay this company. If I have to I will be sending them a money order, bc I would not trust this company with my card, I hlope I get my situation fixed bc right now I really want to go to WI and kick their butts. Have a good nite everyone and I hope you all get your problems fixed too.

I saw this company along with their sister company Midnight Velvet listed on my credit report for an unpaid negative balance. I have never ordered anything from this company and wouldn't. It looks like the products are cheaply made and I don't see any major brand names on their website. Well I called and after being transferred several times I finally got a rep that said they would send out a package to be filled out. A month later, it still wasn't received. I called back again and went through the same thing. Then I reached out on FB, they assured me they would take it off. I got confirmation from the credit bureau that they were removing it, then months later it showed up again. Every keeps saying they're going to send out a packet, then when you call back they apologize and say it looks like it wasn't sent. I finally spoke with a representative named Erin who was very sweet and assured me that it would be taken care of this time. That was 5 days ago...still waiting to see what happens. Haven't gotten any notifications from the bureaus or the company since. I'm going to pursue legal action.
what you to send me a book of what you have for sale.
I have had nothing but great. pleasant service from Ginny's over the past 7 or 8 years! The items I have received have mostly been of the best quality, and the one or two that had problems were immediately replaced or refunded. No company can be perfect considering the fact that they hire people who are not actually perfect, but do the best they can. The customers they deal with are not always perfect or polite either!----especially when they are disappointed with the quality of merchandise they've received.
I have never spoken with a representative who has been unfriendly or unkind to me . When I ordered their combination blender/food processor and had a problem with the base of it not working, only a few necessary questions were asked; they gave me instructions for returning the damaged part and immediately put the replacement part in the mail to me before I even had a chance to get the damaged part shipped to them!
I am handicapped and unable to go out and do my shopping and must depend on catalogs for ideas and purchases for gifts, and have never once been disappointed by this company or its employees. I don't expect their employees to be perfect peoples, and would not be surprised if one had had a bad day and reacted negatively to me and my problems. We must always remember they deal with all kinds of people and problems and do our best to make their jobs easier, too.
Thank you for this opportunity to share my experiences, too. I shall continue to do my shopping with them because of these pleasant experiences.

Ginnys is the wOrst company ever customer service horrible i placed an order with ginnys on dec 12th they told me to wait 48 for order shipping information there website guaranteed Christmas delivery if ordered by 12/16 on 12/17 after calling for days with no answer about when my order will be shipped finally i was told my order was being held by the credit department for an unknown reason then after being on hold for 35 minutes they transfer me again to someone who says they can release partial order n my one personalized overpriced item can not be here for christmas because it would take them an unknown amount of time to put 3 letters on a bathrobe...i canceled my whole order there stuff is overpriced and cheap quality cant track your order online even though thats what they advertise ...horrible experience ...midnight velvet was a little better but the dont confirm shipping and they just throw your package at your door with no confirmation...swiss colony is a rip off with stale items...and horrible customer service dont waste your time or money
I printed out my credit report, and found a company called ginny's on there but I never heard of this company or ordered any products online such a scam, someone used my name, and now I am A victim of fraud . they gave me a hard time when I started disputing false info on my credit report, I never received a bill from this company . I never had an account with them . such a horrible thing to happen now it is impossible to clear this problem, so I filed with BBB hopefully they get somewhere if not I file with the courts eek! what a pain but I refuse to pay someone's bill . Cant believe people get away with ruining other peoples credit .
I returned an item in April and received email confirmation, and now they've sent me 3 collection letters demanding payment. If they persist, I will take legal action.
I have been quite pleased with my service and products I have received from Ginneys. When I received some cookware that had a defective pan and lid I was immediately sent a replacement without any additional cost from me. Montgomery Wards, Swiss Colony, 7th Avenue as well as other other companies are sister companies so if you receive a catalog from one you may receive catalogs from the others as well. I have ordered numerous cookware sets and other items as well from these companies and have had them sent as gifts to others. My experiences have been outstanding, without incident. products were received and delivered. Reference the lady that had a father that ordered a race car above. It would have been better if he had spoke to you about ordering it. He could have ordered the race car by applying for his own credit. I think all of should be wise in picking our battles. Unfortunately, errors DO HAPPEN and I know this was to the daughter "the principle of the thing". But really...your dad must have really wanted that race car and for me personally, it would be worth it to me to put a smile on his face. I would have just paid for it then closed acct, but that is just me. Once again, I can only say I have received outstanding service better than any I have ever received in any store and it is worth paying a little extra to have items delivered to my door. Very convenient!

Bad Customer Experience
The worst customer service ever! I bought a deep fryer and the basket was poorly made and broke. When i contacted them to purchase a new basket or have one sent they said they could not because it was unavailable even though a comparable item is llisted online. That was my first and last dealings with them. Avoid, and go to a ompetitor that is priced better anyway.
I was checking for reviews as well because they sent me a catalog out of the blue as well and claimed that I had available credit, I placed an order, they called saying that I needed to put a down payment before they shipped the items, I paid online but haven't seen it on my bank statement and it now says that my account info that was provided for the purchase was not a valid account...
horrible customer service
Bought an over the sink shelf and it came broken, I did not ask them to replace it and they sent it anyways. Fed ex left it outside and I was not able to refuse delivery. Second item was a queen size feather comforter pad. They sent me a twin although I specifically put in the number that was indicated in the magazine for a queen. They would not pay to ship it back. Then I got a monroe comforter that was about the size of a full. No way would it fit my bed. I had to pay a total of a 100$ for nothing to clear this bill even though I complained. I would never buy from again!

Don't order the Tufted Chinille bedspread, upon opening the one I bought the smell of it nearly made me faint you would not believe the smell! Took it to the laundomat at once, smelling up the car on the way, it cost me $10.00 to wash & dry it and when I put it on the bed I found that one side of the spread was unsewn & the other side had a big wad of fabric all bunched up and sewn down for one horrible looking bump. Ginny's sent me a pick up order to return it to them, I got the credit but never the $10.00 for the washing of it...I think these must be made in India

I have been trying to get a hold of you by phone for 2 weeks and haven't been successful. I want to know why my monthly payments have been so much. I haven't ordered anything since January of this year
Ginny's choice of shipping as well as customer service is the worst. According to Ginny's as well as their shipping my order was delivered, not all items were, I contacted Ginny's as well as ONTRACK and stated that not all of my packages were delivered. I have not heard from either one to try and resolve this. I haven't received any info.
Ginnys billing and payment procedures are all messed up. I made 2 payments using 2 separate transactions to put me ahead and now they show I missed a payment on the statement. The website shows me ahead a payment. This is baloney. I'll pay them off and never use them again. Ridiculous!
