Freelancer.com freelancer.com supported fraud scamsters

Today I was duped of Rs.2000 through freelancer.com. Someone posted a project and I applied for it. The client asked me to add him on whatsapp. He created a group with another US number. The numbers are +[protected] and +[protected]. He created a project worth $100 and released the payment to me. He asked to me to send a transfer of Rs.2000 to a local friend through paytm. The local friend's number was [protected] of someone called Nikhil.

After 2 hours, the client reversed the payment of $100 on freelancer.com. Freelancer.com did so without even sending me any email notification. After a while when a checked my account, I came to know that I have been duped.

It seems such fraudulent clients are being supported by freelancer.com. They have enabled a faulty system in which a client can claim refund and reverse payments without any hassles! What a way to fraud innocent freelancers!

Freelancer.com you are promoting scams and frauds through your website.

Freelancer.com money in financial dashboard is not transferred

Hello,
I had 9994.64 amount in my free lancer account, for which I initiated a transfer on 25 August with express withdrawal option into my bank account, which was supposed to come in my account on 10sep and when I try to check the status on my financial dashboard you guys blocked my account . I have not received the amount till date. Please beware I'll take legal actions against the firm if my amount is not given back to me under fraud and cheating section.
Screen shot has been attached for your reference.
Show quoted text
But what I don't understand is once the amount was in my dashboard how the transaction can be reversed. This does not make sense to me. I want my money that I have worked for. This is cheating how does it relate to his account being closed. When the money was in my financial dashboard. Please give me my money otherwise I'll take legal actions against the company. This my last request before I iniate investigation and use social media/e news to spread how you cheat people under the name of terms and conditions.

Repeated reminders to the company and they have the reply your employer account was blocked. He had transferred me the money and amount was in my financial dashboard, but you guys have blocked my account for no reason. I'm only asking for the money I worked for.

Freelancer.com freelancer.com deducted money from my account/balance because my employer had violated terms and conditions.

Employer paid me in full but he had violated terms and conditions which i was not aware of. After 24 hours freelancer refunded the project and deducted all my money.

It is just not fair. I am very demotivated and lost trust on freelancer.com
I do not have any problem with the employer. The employer paid me in full even before i started the project. I then completed the project as i was already paid and did not have to worry about the employer not releasing the milestone. But after 24 hours freelancer deducted all the money from my account which was paid to me by the employer. The reason they gave was the employer violated terms and conditions which i was obviously not aware of. I was given a project. I completed it and got paid without any problem. now if an employer violates the terms and condition of freelancer then it is between freelancer.com and that employer. I had nothing to do with it. So freelancer deducting the money from my account is just stealing the money which i earned. I have been in a bad mood the entire day. Don't feel like working anymore with freelancer. The money they deducted from me with that money i could have bought almost 22-23 months of Plus Membership with them. Just disappointing. And if the employer violated terms and conditions then his project should have been taken down which was not done. only after 24 hours freelancer had taken down the project when it was already completed and paid for.

Freelancer.com data entry typing work

I am from India. I was looking for online typing jobs/work from home jobs. I applied in freelancer.com also. On july 3rd i got a phone call from a lady named Reshmi Nair (number: [protected]) and told me they had shortlisted some including me from the applicants, and told will send me pdf files/images and I had to type in word and submit it before July17. It was 20pages and absolutly free and will get a payment of 18400 for this trial project and if i could achieve above 90% accuracy, i would get appointed as the company's employ and could draw a monthly salary of 28000 including PF and all for 1 year. I submitted the project on time and after July 18 i got a message that i had achieved the accuracy and got appointed as their employ and had to pay an annual charge of 3884 which is refundable to release my salary of the trial project work. I ignored it and didnt pay. After few days, Reshmi called me again and convinced me that it is completly genuine and that amount would be refunded after 15 working days and will credit my salary on 28th July. I paid the amount through Tez app. I paid only thinking about the genuity and good will of freelancer. I called her on July 28th morning and she told me that my salary will get credited soon and my client is todays choice of UK and they will call me directly for work. But after that all their phone numbers and whatsapp id and email id got freezed. I didn't get any money and got cheated by them in the name of freelancer. The email id from where I got mails were reshmi.[protected]@gmail.com and reshmi.[protected]@gmail.com. The cash I deposited was credited to the account of Gadha Ghoni Sashikala. and their Tez id was freelancer.uk.[protected]@okhdfcbank. Now they are completly out of radar. Can't imagine that I got cheated by such a reputed company

If you were kind enough to go through my transactions, thanks.
They were actually my initial ones, I had just started working the day before yesterday, although, I created my account in the year 2016, Jan.

You'd probably know after reading the transactions, that I was awarded 600+550 on 13th of may, and today that is 16th may, It was deducted right away, and my remaining balance is -660, you might ask how it became negative because these people have taken immense pride in reducing people's cash, in the name of transaction fee.
I'm totally fine with that. My question here is, why would you deduct my money, from my first and best project, which I have completed successfully.
At least tell me, In which aspect I have gone wrong.
Please give me back my hard work's result. I still have a lot of work to do. I have nothing against your company, but what your doing to us is really really wrong.

Freelancer.com stole my hard earned money, made my account in negative

Hi,

I joined freelancer.com in Jan 2014. I invested around four years to build my profile at freelancer.com.

Its takes lots of hard work and effort to get a client and make money. I paid 10% as project commission too for every project I get.

Suddenly, I found that they deducted whatever I had in my account and made my account in NEGATIVE around $600+

They closed accounts of some clients for whom I delivered the projects and reversed the payment.

If client was not verified or genuine then how they allowed to post project at their site.

Their administrator reversed even some one year old projects.

I did very hard work to delivered the project, invest lots of time to build profile also gave 10% and sometime more for same project. After all this how can they STOLE my money and make my account in negative.

This is third time they did this to me. Initially when I submitted tickets/complain, they told me that they are helpless. Previously amount was small so I left it as it.

But this time amount is very BIG for me.

Enough is Enough. They crossed the limit and gave me a headache. I am highly disappointed and very much stressed.

I have all the proof what they did to me.

I am not getting what to do, please any one guide me how can SUE them (address - Freelancer
Level 20, 680 George Street, Sydney Australia), their CEO "Matt Barrie " and their CFO Neil Katz in court or take legal actions against them online.

Freelancer.com limited account

I asked a friend to add funds to my account using his credit card on 19th April as I don't own a credit card of my own and I had a deal with him that I will pay him off in cash. on 26th April I received a Freelancer banner that my account is limited. I paid more than half the amount to him in cash. Upon asking my friend he said the payment that was pending, he chargedback as I failed to pay him.
Moreover, He cancelled out his credit card services from the bank and is no longer in possession of that card or its rights. So he can't release the funds. Which freelancer wants him to release.
Now I'm left with nothing and my account is limited. My money that was in the account which are around 300 British pounds are still there and I can do nothing with them. I can't withdraw them. I can't make and hire people for projects.
I have provided verification. My account is still not accessible.
I want to withdraw funds from my account. I would like freelancer to resolve this matter. If nothing can be done I would like the remaining balance in my account to be sent to me. I would be really grateful to you.

Freelancer.com locked funds and nobody wants to help me solve it.

They've locked my funds due to "external issues" with the contest holder, funny thing is they did this 2 months after the money was released and the client is profiting from my designs (they have it up in a web page), I don't think thats fair, I have to pay for my clients wrong doing and nobody in the costumer service want to help, they just tell me they are trying to contact the contest holder and I honestly think they won't answer back, nobody on freelancer willing to really wanting to solve my problem and they have a flaw on the way they handle things, is no safe for you to put your work on freelancer, don't fall like I (foolishly) did.

Unfortunately, I had a similar experience just recently. After sending all deliveries to client, we had a dispute regarding the interpretation of one special, final functionality, which I provided, but not good enough for employer.
I lost the dispute regarding the interpretation of the requirement specs, and freelancer automatically closed the project. Which means, employer benefits from delivered, fully workable solution, besides the one issue in dispute for free. I lost all work, and would have lost my project fee, too, in case the project would not have been from an employer, I even acquired for freelancer.com, and I also got an _AUTOMATIC_ bad feedback. Which is the very first, BTW.
Support from FL is practically non-existent, only telling me, that the bad feedback was automatically generated by their system. I suspect, support is very busy otherwise, writing good, fake feedbacks about themselves.

Feelancers, be warned about employers, stretching the req specs over and over again, and finally ripping you off with help of freelancer.com

Freelancer.com took $ without my knowledge then claimed no charges were made.

I was charged $70+ dollars that I did not authorize. When I sent the company and email to resolve the situation, They told me there were no charges made to my account when my account clearly states otherwise. Also, after I filed the complaint, I immediately received an email from Freelancer support representative "Noah" stating that because I filed said complaint, my account was limited. This website is a rip off. I've lost almost $100 that they say was never taken to begin with, which is a lie as you can see in the photo, for nothing! This website is a SCAM. Do NOT sign up.

Freelancer.com freelancer unauthorizedly deduct 430usd from my credit card

I was deducted 30+USD x 14 months=430 USD membership fee from credit card. The last deduction was stopped and I was scammed almost 400 USD by Freelancer. I contacted an employer whose name is Erwin C and the guy replied they can refund at most 6 months of membership fee 2nd December, 2017 when I communicated with Freelancer. Today I login my account and found they ask me to provide government issued identification like ID, passport, photo, signature, birth date information and my residential bill information before I can refund my money from my freelancer account to my credit card account. I consulted my bank and was told these documents and information could be used to fraud authorization on behalf of the account owner, me, myself. I have emailed Freelancer and asked them to refund me money unconditionally. I hope someone here can tell me how to communicate with this company. Their action is dangerous to society. I am in Shanghai, China.

Here I post the details of my communication with Freelancer:

15:24Erwin C.:Furthermore, there is a notification on the Newsfeed of
your Dashboard which informed you that the said membership plan will renew at
$29.95 USD per month, starting Nov 25 2016 unless you cancel it before then.

15:24Erwin C.:Since you have been notified about this on our site and
you failed to cancel your membership before it renewed, you were charged the
fee for its renewal according to our site's Terms and Conditions.

15:24Erwin C.:You may check our site's Terms and Conditions on the link
below:

15:24Erwin C.:https://www.freelancer.com/about/terms

15:29Erwin C.:Is there anything else that I can help you with?

15:29williamcyber:yes

15:30Erwin C.:If you have other questions, kindly let us know so that
we may provide recommendations.

15:31williamcyber:I just have made use of the free trial. I
can keep my property safe with out answering any notification from an equal
business company.

15:32williamcyber:I have received many emails including spam
emails

15:33williamcyber:need I to see and reply every one of them
to protect my money from being charged?

15:34williamcyber:the terms is defined by Freelancer who is
not government, nor judge

15:35williamcyber:why should I have to reply the notification
from Freelancer to ensure my money still in my purse?

15:36williamcyber:yes, I made use of the free trial. But it
is free trial.

15:37williamcyber:Is there any agreement to rule that I have
to reply your notifications if I used your free trial?

15:38Erwin C.:Just to clarify, it is also stated in section 1. of our
site's Terms and Conditions that "By accessing the Website, you agree to
the following terms with Freelancer.".

15:38Erwin C.:Also, if you are referring to the charges for the said
membership, you do not have to reply to every email or notification.

15:38Erwin C.:What you could have done was downgrade the said
membership plan before it renewed since our site has informed you of its
renewal with its respective charge starting Nov 25, 2016.

15:38Erwin C.:Since you failed to cancel it and downgrade to Free
before its renewal date even after you have been informed on our site, you were
charged fees for it according to our site's Terms and Conditions.

15:41williamcyber:who has the right to set an automatic
trigger to take my money when he/she is not aware of?

15:41williamcyber:you have not answer my question directly

15:43williamcyber:I don't have responsibility to do anything
to keep my money safe.

15:46williamcyber:Freelancer want to get my money. Freelancer
set its questions to be replied from me. They are Freelancer's issue, they are
Freelancer's business tricky, nothing to do with me, nothing to do with my
responsibility of doing something.

15:49williamcyber:My money should be safe no matter are there
any notifications or other questions raised by anyone else to be responsed.

15:54Erwin C.:As earlier discussed, the automatic deposit from your
credit card was due to our billing agreement which our site implements so that
depositing funds via credit card becomes a one-step process which can be
completed on the site.

15:54Erwin C.:We also respect your opinion.

15:54Erwin C.:However, as discussed, you were charged the fees as you
have failed to cancel your membership plan to free before its renewal date.

15:54williamcyber:in 10 minuted I will have to leave to do
something else. the discussion will be stopped but the cased is not ended.
thank you, sir

15:55williamcyber:the case is not ended

15:55williamcyber:till you return all my money

15:56williamcyber:thank you for listening my reasoning

Freelancer.com is a BIG SCAM/ FRAUD Company.
They are stealing money of innocent people.
All we can do is to stop using this website or if not possible then at least try to take/make payment using other platform like - transferwise.com
And my message to all the employers and freelancers using their service is - please do not look for reviews as in most of the cases they are not genuine and do communicate using their platform (free of cost) and NEVER do any transactions on freelancer.com.

Or maybe find a way to take a collective action against them. Sue them?

Freelancer.com justanswer help

On my bank statement I see that Justanswer charged me $37 US for help I didn't get! I got as far as having an expert on the screen but I told him that I could fix the problem myself. (My husband came home & he did get a new email address, so He helped me!)
The expert remained on screen, but he did nothing because I didn't ask him for any help! I expect you will give me a refund for that $37 US to my Visa card.
Thank you. Carolyn Harrington

Freelancer.com I got scammed and freelancer support does not help

I recently got scammed by one of the freelancers on the FREELANCER.COM platform. He forced me to release 50% milestone without showing any work. I did it because I am very unexperienced in this world.

So he stole my money and my other half milestone is also stuck in my account.

I created a PayPal dispute as the support did not want me to help with this case. Just because I created a PayPal dispute they limited my freelancer account and told me to close to disputes so they can work on it. I closed the PayPal disputes but they are not responding now! Now it is not possible to open a new PayPal dispute because you can only open once for one PayPal transaction! So FREELANCER.COM SUPPORT also tricked me.

Shortly, FREELANCER SUPPORT limited my account and not helping me to solve my case!

My 232 USD got stolen and no one cares. Plus I lost so much time and energy. Meanwhile I hired another freelancer on UPWORK and he finished his work in 24 hours. No scams no support issues or anything! Don't use FREELANCER, use UPWORK. It is way much better.

I WANT MY MONEY BACK FREELANCER. DO YOUR JOB AND TAKE CARE OF IT.

1 hour after I posted this review, a support agent named Eleanor from FREELANCER.COM took care of the case and the full amount was refunded back to my PayPal account. I wish it would not have been necessary to post a review here. FREELANCER has to improve the quality of their customer support.

Freelancer.com they got me too!!!

Why people do this I don't know. I'm taking them to court . Because I told that Witch to close my account and she took my money anyway. That was my last money so you know I'm pissed. They never sent the confirm letter to my e-mail, so I could confirm it. I didn't think to do a follow up like I normally do. This won't happen again I bet you. There no phone to contact them. They won't answer me on their website. So I called Pay Pal. Hopefully they'll close their account, so this won't happen to nobody else . This has happen before with Pay Pal customers dealing with these same people. Pay Pal got to know. I sure they been alerted. This has happen a number of times. I'm mad enough to sue pay pal
