While my daughter and I were shopping at our local Food City in Lebanon Virginia we were treated very badly by the cashier. We had decided to buy four candy bars so we could come home and make treats, while checking out my daughter was laying the candy bars on the counter and the cashier ripped them from her hands, my daugher is three years old, I would have maybe and I stress maybe have understood if there was other customers behind us but there was not. My daughter began to cry and the cashier never even gave us a glance, it took ever bone in my body to muster the strengh not to harm this lady. We paid for our candy and left, but I have filed a complaint with BBB and the main office for Food City. By the way her name is Margie! So, please be carefully while shopping at your Lebanon Food City.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.

Ive had several experiences with an older cashier, named Jodi, I believe. She’s always rude keeps a hateful look on her face. I know shes hard of hearing, but she ignored me when I said heres my card, and held it up for her to Scan. Then she snapped at me, “ YOU GOTTA SAY SOMETHIN!” Yesterday was over the top! 7/29/23. The customer infront of me made some sort of political remark about the cost of things. Her response just floored me! She said “ Ive never cared a thing about that [censored]!” Referring to president Biden. She cant control what customers say but she can sure control her own tongue! An empathetic more neutral response would have sufficed, and swearing in front of customers has been a firing offense everywhere Ive ever worked. She must need the income working at her age, but that lady needs some training! If i have to go elsewhere to avoid her in the future I will! Lifes too short.
