Diamonds International diamond ring

My wife and I purchased a 1.11 carat diamond and a setting for $17, 000 on Monday April 10th, 2017.
Today, April 18th, 2017, we noticed that one of the diamond stones on the band has already fallen out.

Extremely disappointed with the quality of workmanship and now I am dreading the horrid customer service experience that is to come.

The cruise lines should be humiliated by their partnerships with Diamonds International.

Diamonds International diamond international extreme pressure to sell.

My husband and 2 other couples went to a presentation for Diamond international to consider purchasing their " time share" which they said wasn't a time share. We listened to their presentation for 3.5 hours in Maui. When we declined the option to purchase the time share..My basic reason was due to the face my son in law is in kidney failure and currently are unsure if we would be able to use it. We found out about his condition the eve prior to leaving for Maui. The initial person that did the presentation was great. Her name was Linda. When we decided to decline purchasing the time share her manager then attempted to convince us to buy. We again declined. Then a person wanted to do an " exit survey" which was another attempt to sell us 20, 000 points for $4, 000. When I said no due to my son in laws kidney failure and uncertainty, the sales person said to me.." well why did you come to Maui then if he is so ill?" I found myself explaining that we spent alot of money to go on vacation and I couldn't do anything for him in 10 days. So we decided to go. She then said.. " you didn't even try to get your money back from the airlines?" I then said enough and we all got up and left. I went outside and began to cry because I felt abused. Then I became angry and went back inside to complain. They compensated me by giving me $200 in vouchers. Big deal. I explained that I had a daughter that passed away and the possibility of that happening again scares me and was sobbing. My day was ruined. The possibility of ever buying anything from Diamond International in the future is 0. Our party of four were both considering it and we are all in our mid 60's. The lousy $200 I received was hardly enough for the trauma they inflicted on us. I truly think that due to our ages they thought they could bully us into buying. I will forever forwarn anyone I know to avoid bothering to listen to your presentation.

Diamonds International unethical behavior, sold me "chocolate" diamond that is not what told it was.

3/29/2017, was sold diamond ring 4g84901-03880, stated to be light brown color. agent knew what I wanted to hear and that was what I was told, ring is obviously clear in color. felt I was rushed, being a cruise customer. have lost trust in company, will never buy from DI again, or recommend to anyone. I would like a refund on this item. please advise on how to return this item.

Diamonds International diamond ring

Do not spend your money here!
Last June I purchased a new setting for my 15 year old engagement ring at Diamonds International in the Bahamas. A couple weeks ago (9 months later) I noticed my center stone was loose and barley being held together with prongs. Thankfully I noticed before the stone fell out! After contacting Diamonds International they told me it's past the 30 day warranty and I have to pay to send it to them and pay to have it repaired.

After checking with a couple jewelry repair stores in my area I find it's going to cost me upwards of $400 to have it fixed. I am beside myself. Now I have a ring I can't wear and a hefty expense to repair it. Never again will I spend my money at Diamonds International. I am disappointed that Cruise lines continue to recommend a jewelry company that clearly does not stand behind their workmanship.

Diamonds International Customer service

Please do not order anything from them on line. Once they get your money you cant speak to anyone to get status on shipping. I ordered a beautiful $700 necklace. Placed the order and was told we will not charge your card until it ships . Well they charged my card and it didnt ship. Said estimated ship date was 3/2/17. Well that day came and went .Still no idea when the item is coming. Called and emailed customer service every day and no response. Will have to go to police next to get my money back. Not a cool way of doing business. Especially for a $700 order . Its a pretty simple matter to resolve. You order something you get a ship date you get the product. Plain and simple.

Diamonds International diamond ring

Buyer beware... Do not use this company especially if it's for a wedding / engagement ring. They do not stand by their product or craftsmanship. Purchased a $3, 500 ring and in less than 9 months the diamond falls out! Company did nothing! Only have 30 days! Diamonds don't "just" fall out unless it was not set properly to begin with! Their "customer service supervisor" even agreed! Now i'm out the $$ and no longer have a wedding ring! Its devastating. No worth it at all! Be very careful purchasing from this company

Diamonds International diamond purchase in cozumel

Purchased a diamond ring for my wife of 42 years. I am dying of prostate cancer and wanted to upgrade her current ring to reflect our love and commitment to each other. The ring should reflect our journey and shouldn't be looked at any other way. Paid $61, 000.00 and had it appraised when we got home at $47, 650.00. Was promised by Store manager Juan Eric and Area manager Andy Athwani and Royalty shopping guide Kimberly Rose that the ring could not be purchased cheaper by my guys in the diamond district of Manhattan. If I found a appraisal cheaper they would refund the difference. I told them that the diamond couldn't be misrepresented because of what I am going through and needed my wife to look at the ring and remember what we shared. We feel totally violated and need your assistance. Getting the run around from customer service. We have bought many items through D.I. at multiple locations and never had this happen . Please help.

Diamonds International poor workmanship

Do yourself a favor and stay away from diamonds international, this is the biggest scam. We purchased a crown of light diamond ring when we were in barbados and we have replaced 20 of the little diamonds that have fallen out and I currently have 15 more that I refuse to replace. The first one fell out the day we bought it. They sell garbage and are over priced. Buyer beware.

I also purchased the diamonds of light ring for $4800.00. Diamond fell out after 30 days. Thank god I caught it before I lost the diamond. Had to have all the prongs replaed. Buryer beware. This will be my last purchase from them and that is sad seeing every time we cruise I get more jewelry.

Diamonds International diamond ring

In May 2016 I walked into Diamonds International im Hondorus ... I purchased a setting & Loose diamond and had the ring made. At first I couldn't be happier, but in July I started to notice that the diamond looked like it was shifting in the setting, but could not be sure ... well 3 months later my diamond fell out - totally devistated ... DI took no responsibility and offered no help. 30 day warranty- that is it! Be very careful what you buy at any of the locations- customers service after the purchase is not a option

Diamonds International diamond ring

On the 29th November I had the misfortune to go into the Diamonds International store in St Marten. As I was getting married on the 29th December and the cruise line I was travelling with endorsed Diamonds International I decided to go in search of a diamond wedding ring. We were served by a very nice lady called Patsy who also got her Manager involved. I found the ideal diamond wedding ring and was then talked into buying a white gold shank with 3 diamonds on each shoulder to replace the engagement ring that I had on. The idea being that my 1.65 carat diamond was taken off the yellow gold mount of mine and then placed on the white gold shank with the 6 diamonds which were supposedly just short of 1 carat. The receipt and appraisal certificates all confirm that the 6 diamonds are 0.94 carats and stupidly I believed the sales staff as they seemed so genuine, how stupid could I be!
On getting home I had the ring valued and the stones have turned out to be 0.50 carats at the most! I have taken the ring to two different jewellers who both confirm 0.50 but of course Diamonds International are having non of it. I have contacted the cruise line as well who make such a big thing on board ship of how they will help you with your purchase and tell you that you are covered once you get home for 90 days and it is all a pack of lies. This company has no morals and is a complete and utter CON. BEWARE of Diamonds International. I have had my wedding day ruined and want to prevent any one else from having there special day ruined. I have been corresponding via e-mail with a person called Hugo but am getting more and more annoyed. All I want is what I paid for a white gold shank with 6 diamonds that weigh 0.94 carats. I have asked for a replacement shank to be sent to me so as I can get my diamond taken off this one and then I will return this 0.50carat one to them but of course they will not do that. All I have been offered is $250 plus a $200 gift voucher! What am I suppose to do with a gift voucher? I got diamonds weighing half what they should have been so if they are not going to be replaced then I want half my money back. I will not give up this fight.

Please let me know how successful you are with your return to D International? I'm fighting with them myself now to return jewelry for a full refund. As the store manager in their Nassau store told me I could, if I changed my mind for any reason on the jewelry we were buying. As long as it was within 30 days of purchase. Which now I'm being told they only accept returns for a store credit. A store credit does me no good.

Thanks,

Laura

Diamonds International diamond international

Dear FB Friends, I need your help! In November 2016 Steve and I made a once in a lifetime purchase of a 3 carat diamond ring for our 25th Wedding Anniversary while on a cruise in the Bahamas. We bought a 3 carat marquise diamond engagement ring and a diamond wedding band from Diamond International. We were assured that the ring would appraise for what we paid for it, if not more. When we returned to the states we had the rings appraised and to our HORROR found out that the ring was worth almost $7, 000 less than what we paid for it and the wedding band was “at best” in fair condition because there were 5 diamond loose in the setting. We reached out to the store and to the cruise ship since we used a store that they recommended. AND GUESS WHAT? No one wants to help us now! Diamond International will not take my phone calls and only responds back to emails after we make threats to sue. I am now on a campaign to get the word out on Diamond’s International and Carnival Cruise Lines. The cruise shopper Yolandi was with us every step of the way in the process of our purchase. She even went into the back of the store to call the owner in New York to get us the “best price” for our ring. But now the cruise line will not work with us either. THIS HAS BEEN A NIGHTMARE! I have a ring that I can’t wear because I can’t get it insured for what I owe on it. NEVER EVER shop at Diamond International! AND NEVER believe Carnival Cruise Line when they tell you what store to shop at because they will not support you or assist when a problem arises. PLEASE POST ON YOUR TIME LINE AND FRIENDS TO POST ON THEIRS TOO!

Diamonds International tanzanite pendant - actual appraisal half of stores appraisal and amt pd.

We went into Diamonds International in Curacao just looking around. I saw a tanzanite pendant and the sales rep took it out and began to give me prices dropping it every time I looked away. He made a lot of promises about it being worth well above the price he is selling it to me for and that they give an appraisal when I purchase it just to prove it. He kept telling me that if it were in white gold it would be worth 3 times as much. Now, I get home and take it to my jeweler who cringed when I told him all this. He showed me a necklace he has in his store in white gold, approximately the same pts of diamonds and just slightly less on the tanzanite, again WHITE GOLD not silver, for half what I paid these people. So, basically, I paid double what it's worth. I'll go for 1 more appraisal but I will tell everyone I know about this jewelry chain. If you are on vacation, PLEASE do NOT walk into this chain of stores, the more I'm reading today, the more I feel like a victim of their deception to the tune of $700!

Diamonds International unethical practice to make a sale

This was a horrible life changing experience. The 1st was in Mazatlan. My sister and I took a tour provided by the ship (Westerdam) The tour was with Playa Sol our driver Jose told us at the last stop we needed to go into a jewelry store before we could go to lunch. Bottom line I bought a fake piece of jewelry. I took it to Brent (Diamond Internationals rep on board) he checked and asked that I check with the Jewelry store on board both confirmed it was fake. I became physically ill at this point. Brent told me to accompany him to D I in Puerto Vallarta to take to an associate there. So the next morning we left with Brent to help resolve this issue. While at there Tanzanite Store I was told what to do about the previous purchase. Brent said he would also take me to meet someone else that knew all the jewelers and would help me resolve that issue. While waiting his associate offered me a shot of tequila to help calm me down. Well I was given shot after shot until I became inebriated. The sales people brought me jewelry and put it on me. Brent's associate kept telling me what a wonderful deal he was giving me. Well I could go on and on but after getting drunk I walked out of there $10000 in debt. When I got back to the ship and realized with I did I talked to Brent he assured me they would send me an RMA to send back the jewelry. But as of this writing they are refusing to work with me. I trusted him and trusted Holland for not putting me in any situation that would cause me harm. The past month have been the most miserable in my life - it's right up there with losing my son. When a business has to get a person drunk to make a sale is unconscionable. I found a credit card from DI when I got home-I cut it up and sent it back with a written dispute. As of this writing I have been unsuccessful in getting any resolution from anyone. I am not some rich American just an extremely embarrassed and heart broken one. And I pray no one in the future ever has this experience.
Hopefully you can warn other senior citizens of this unethical business practice the Holland America seems to condone.

Thank your time,

Elizabeth Jacques
Dates: 11/5 to 11/12

Diamonds International earrings

I was scammed into signing a payment agreement. They showed me one pair of Earings, said they would change them from rose gold to white gold setting then when the Earings showed up they were brown diamond chips. Basically worthless. I had them appraised at $300.00. They are billing me for$4, 666.00.
I bought these Earings while on the Carnival Dream cruse on 9-15-16. It was a complete hoax they are scampers. Please help me!
I have been in contact with a man named Oscar. He keeps putting me off. I cannot get them to give me an address to return the item. I want to return them ASAP. HELP!

Diamonds International ripped off

We were on a cruise in the Caribbean in December of 2014 on Celebrity Eclipse and made a stop in St Marten. We went into the Diamonds International store and I was looking to upgrade my necklace. They talked me into upgrading the stone in my wedding ring and upgrading my diamond earrings. I just now had the pieces appraised as I live in a rural area of Oregon and the appraisers do not come to town often. I just found out that the items, I purchased the 1.25 ct diamond color J-K, clarity SI3-I1 (per Diamonds International paperwork) for $7850 and the stone I upgraded in my wedding ring is fractured and basically worthless. I had the same ring appraised in 2011 and it appraised for $7600 and the stone was only .85 ct. The appraisal I just received says the ring is only worth $5100, it is only 1.22 cts, color O-P with strong blue (Iw) fluorescence and clarity I-2. I paid $7850 for this stone and to find out that it is worth nothing and the earrings I paid $6950 for, 2.19 cts, color H-I, clarity I1 (on DI paperwork) are only worth $4700 and the current appraisal says they are only 2.11 cts, color H-I, clarity I-2/3 . I have purchased items from them in the past at their Aruba store and have had no issues, but I think the store in St. Marten is crooked. I cannot believe they do business this way. I am sick about this. I will never buy another thing from them. I will make sure that anyone who listens, I will let them know they will be ripped off if they shop at this store. I paid out $14, 800 and I have items only worth $7200 :(. BUYER BEWARE! I feel pretty stupid, so hopefully I can save other people from making the same mistake I did!

Diamonds International tanzanite and diamond ring

While on a RCCL cruise (Grandeur) we stopped at DI in Key West. The Shopping director John Blair. gave out several discount (20% off best deal) and free charm coupons on the ship telling us we would get a great deal at Diamonds International. While looking at rings, we made the mistake of telling the saleswoman that we only want to spend $300 on a Tanzinite and diamond ring. She immediately took us over to a show case where there were 3 rings under $300. My wife picked out the one she like, it was the only one that didn't have a price and she told us, after we gave her our 20% off coupon, the price was $300! She could not show me a catalog or price tag with the original sale price on it. When we got home and looked on the DI website, we could not find her ring, but we did find similar one with slightly larger tanzinite and diamond stones and it's DI selling price was only $16 more than my wife's! Which means she did not get the 20% discount which the saleswoman said we got! I contacted Diamonds International and spoke with "Joey" (ext# 1708)(no last name) who drag me along for a week to only tell me that DI will not give me the 20% discount and will only give me store credit if I want to return the ring! This only proves that Diamonds International is not a trustworthy business that employees are unscrupulous!

Diamonds International crown of light

I holding a 1.15, F, SI2, Crown of Light $11, 950. next to my wife's Kohls $1000, 1.02, H, I2, cut unstated but must be decent and it has a little more sparkle but I love being able to look into the diamond that also has good sparkle. Buy a high C's traditional at a reputable jeweler in my opinion. The Crown of Light you can't see into the diamond. Worth the money? Never give a sucker an even break (WC Fields). Good luck to all!

Diamonds International crown of light

Went to Cozumel on NCL Dawn and the "shopping consultant" Dani picked out a Crown of Light diamond for me. I was dubious of price, .90 for just under $10, 000. Before we did the paperwork I asked the sales lady Eva if the consultant worked for Norwegian. She said yes. Well it appears these "consultants" work by commission for a third party company. I felt bad about the purchase and upgraded to a 1.15 Crown of Light $11, 950 in Roaton, Honduras. In all I visited Cozumel, Roatan, Belize, and Costa Maya DI stores. If you insist on shopping at DI then by far I recommend Roatan. By buying in Cozumel I get the MX government money back 9.75% on most of the purchase but not for upgrade amount from Roatan. The best bet to me is buy a traditional diamond with extremely high 4c's and you will have a far superior diamond and probably save money. The Crown of Light looks fake to me.

Diamonds International don't believe a word they tell you!

Wouldn't send my worst enemy into any DI store especially St Thomas. We found the ideal stone which they took away from us to change the setting, when we got it back thought it looked a bit different but was in such a rush to get back to ship we didn't say anything at the time. We were verbally told what he ring was and were given the EGL paperwork to back it up. To our shock when we got it home and had another GIA equivalent valuation done they stipulated in the report that they had disregarded everything DI had given us as it didn't appear to be the same stone! It was 1/4 larger, two grades down in both colour and clarity and the dimensions were all off. Essentially. It wasn't what we had been told or been provided loads of paperwork for! They haven't admitted liability in so many words but are searching for a replacement stone - albeit they offered us one that was pretty crap for a free exchange and two they wanted more money for. Not sure how they even came up with the pricing as we knocked them down by tens of thousands in store! I've been told the next offer is a completely different cut so we're taking it further now as we've given them a month to sort it out and I can't believe they don't have a single 3 carat princess cut in any of their stores closer to what we were supposed to of had! Luckily we still haven't lost cost wise on the diamond but it completely defeats the point, we should of had what we were told we were buying for the price we paid and what we specifically asked for. Do you go buy a BMW to then get a Honda delivered and say yeah okay that's cool?! Read between the lines but something very dodgy went on when they took that stone away to change the setting. Just hate to think how many people don't go and get an independent/GIA equivalent valuation of their purchases from DI and the shock of they did!

Diamonds International overpriced and jewelry not as stated!

While on a cruise in Feb. we were told by the cruise line that Diamonds International was the go to place for diamonds. We went into the store in Cozumel and purchased a 1.5 carat diamond ring. I was told if anything was wrong with the ring or the grading I would be able to return it. Upon returning home I discovered that I had paid $4000 more for the stone then I would have if I had bought at a local jeweler. I had the ring appraised by an independent Gia appraiser and was told that what I thought was an si2 diamond was in fact an i1. I contacted the NY customer service dept and submitted all my paperwork. The offered me a smaller stone as an even exchange or I could paid an additional $4700 for a better stone. I had already been ripped off once and they want to gouge me for more money. DO NOT EVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! Your guaranteed to get scammed. Legal extortion at its best.
