That's what happens when you join any site like this. Nobody ever claims ownership of them. That's because they're all run by the same scam artists, and they're all after the same thing. That's right. Your credit card information. Once your trial membership times out, they'll auto upgrade you to a full paid account without you knowing it, and grab your ankles for what's next. Then they'll start charging your credit card for other scam sites. Because I failed to read these negative reviews, they were charging me for 3 different sites before I could stop them. By the time I realized that all these pictures and profiles couldn't possibly be real, I was robbed for over 150$! Had to cancel my credit card and close my checking account to get rid of these clowns. The first clue that something was wrong, was my email inbox. 23 seconds after I registered, for the trial membership, spam emails started coming in from all directions of the wind, from women looking to connect. 23 seconds! My toilet doesn't flush that fast! Within the hour, there were 51 spam emails from women who had seen my profile and thought I looked nice, but guess what? I hadn't even posted anything yet. I learned too late that they use fake profiles and pictures, photoshopped or stolen from Facebook, Tumbler, or porn websites. Then they'll have jokers from the site contacting you with fake messages. Most of the messages come from towns that don't exist. If they do, the names are spelled wrong or there can't possibly be that many people signed up. One of the messages came from someone using the name of a town that was destroyed by a coal mine fire in the 1980's! Another one, supposedly from Ventura Beach, California, had the Eiffel tower in the picture! If you're not an idiot, they think you're one. In many of the messages, they'll say" good morning" at 9pm, which means that the message is fake and being sent from a different country or time zone. Most of these sites have offshore or overseas addresses such as Malta, Antigua, Cyprus, Antilles, London, Nigeria. That's where your credit card information is going when you register. Good luck with that. By not claiming ownership, they can control the site domain to allow fake positive reviews to get posted by scammers working for them, because it helps pull in suckers like me. Not too many people, on the other hand would admit to being robbed by one of these sites if they weren't. Once they have your money, all the messages stop. They make recurring charges to your credit card and if you don't know it, they can add up fast. Their customer service is a waste of time, and have a nice day trying to get a refund from them because they'll take the scenic route to giving your money back if you get anything at all. Guard yourself against scams like this because they're out there everywhere and this one's no exception. For your own safety, it's best to avoid being a victim to these thieves because the Cougar Life you're looking for is more like a slow death to your wallet.

WARNING: Before I begin, let me tell you about me, before some guy who works for the company or perhaps a different city with a much larger population. I'm 23 as of 2015 and I am not overweight, but lightly toned (that more Adam Levine look), with a cute, clean shaven face. I'm white and intelligent (college degree). I also HAVE been with older women I met on POF so I know how to talk to mature women. *ENDWARNING (just trying to establish credibility. If I were an ugly troll who didn't pay, I would not have posted this, but the fact is the only reason I am is because the audacity of the situation that happened to me.)
Okay so I checked some review sites. Cougar Life ranked okay on the list. I figured I'd try it for three months who cares. Well, first off, I live in a city with 2 million people. I know that isn't much compared to NYC, but I would assume that within 50 miles of this area there would be more than 200 cougars on a "legit" site. Anyways, there's obviously mediocre... not so attractive women. The 200 women were the ones with actual pictures. Out of 200, probably only 10 were acceptable unless you were VERY desperate. First, you'll get winks from all sorts of fake profiles. Some look convincing and even have your area code in their name. They'll ask you to email them or KIK Messenger, ha fake, but I tried out of boredom and it's a sham. I already begin to grow weary of this site.
Now, here's the specific situation that led me to this review. There was one woman we was toned and worked out. Not particularly my type, but hey she had a decent face and was not chubby! I messaged her and she actually responded. (Most women don't respond to anything, regardless of what is said... leaving me to believe they are most likely fakes. You cannot tell me a 45 year old something with kids, mildly overweight and a so-so face would not even try talking to a 23 year old man at least to entertain the thought. So, this women flirted back, we played cat and mouse and we exchanged some body pictures that were slightly more revealing. I read these women on these sites "Do not like to waste time emailing back and forth", so I asked for a her number. She played hard to get and eventually gave it to me. I was surprised, a REAL woman with my area code. I texted her and we talked about our live's and what we wanted for a very short amount of time. She then asked for more pictures (warning/red flag) and that she had to sleep early because she wakes up at 5 AM for her busy day. I agreed, I have no reason to hide she didn't ask for my face only body more. So I showed her everything (she already said she liked me physique). So, when I woke up, to my surprise, she messages me with "I shoulda told you last night, there's some else I am already super interested in, sorry". Uh... what? So, I casually say how this feels like she just used me for pictures, but whatever. I figured she maybe just thought he was hotter, fine, fair enough. But then she said what my screen shot will show you below... and yes this is real. (I blurred out the number so no one knows was city I live in...) She tells me she gets PAID by the website to respond to males. Obviously this is a scam and a marketing ploy to give any men signing up false hope, then to just casually blow them all off the next day. However, maybe you'll feel slightly more positive about women since you ALMOST got laid. Either way, this is bull$#*! and a total scam. Do NOT pay for this.

Like many other guys, I joined this site and paid for the initial trial membership, which gives you something like "six hours of first access to Cougars," or whatever; join and you'll see. I'm going to freely admit that I was alone and lonely and I gravitated to a "cougar" site because I'm in my 40's and the majority of dating sites, e.g., Match.com, Zoosk, etc., have young ladies who, let's be honest, gentlemen, want absolutely nothing to do with a guy my age. Anyway, I really took my time, thought hard about an interesting tag line; a well-written self-description and what I was looking for. I took it seriously because I'm serious about meeting someone. In less than 48 hours, I had (at last count) 302 messages from intensely beautiful goddesses, all wanting to meet and "let's see where this goes," or whatever. So, again, I put time and thought and effort into being the Most Interesting Man in the World and even willing to (nasty) drink freaking Dos Equis if absolutely necessary. Not once, after beginning the email correspondence stage of online courtship, did a single one fail to bring up the Dating ID bull$#*!. As another poor soul pointed out, these links all head directly to another shady dating site. "Where's the ID thing, [insert bot name]?" "Once you get approved I'll send you another link and we can really talk after I know you're not crazy. A girl's got to be safe." Another thing, guys, they all, ALL OF THEM, call you "baby." After I got wise and noticed the trend, I called one out and asked her why she wasn't using my first name. I had told her and she said she had forgotten and sorry. Also, I set up a special email address for just this online dating thing and included it in the first line of my profile. Nothing. No one, it seems, even reads your profile before you get a message. Also, I received three messages from three different usernames, each with the same photo -- within a couple hours. There's a place where it tells you how long ago any one member joined the site. Same picture, same bio, different username. If you do decide that you're willing to chance it, call them out IMMEDIATELY. Point out that online verification can be faked quite easily by using a stolen credit card and see what they do. If you hear back, you're the King of Virility and have fun. But, I doubt it will happen that way. Also, tell them to visit BeenVerified.com and check you out there. That's a legit background checks site and even offer to pay the $6 for the report, sent directly to their email address. It didn't work for me, but you may get lucky. Yeah, don't hold your breath because you'll die and the world will be less one thinking, functioning mind. If you're here, reading this, that means you are an intelligent, diligent individual and you're doing your research. Good on you. [UPDATE: 5/6/2016] I believe that this site is a sort of gateway to meet hookers. Yes, I said it, and, yes, I do mean it. If you go to your inbox on the site, you will likely see four or five (I found seven examples myself) messages from slightly different usernames. Example: Marg001; Margarette231: ImMarg902; and, etc. Anyway, seven different profiles; same photos of the same person; similar, scripted, cut-and-paste bio; SAME EMAIL ADDRESS included in the bio. Going further, I initiated email conversation with a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PERSON, but my email provider (Yahoo!) put those emails into the same thread, which really threw me off. I think these women get a commission or something from other Cougar Life partner sites or something. It's like they create a new profile every few days, if not more. No, I do not belive Cougar Life is running a prostitution ring, but they absolutely are enabling it. So, I said, "hello [insert hooker name here]," and she picked up where we had left off a day before as if nothing was different. So very weird. Anyway, I included a nasty-gram to the site moderators or management or whoever, explaining why I wanted to delete my profile. It took a couple of days before the barrage of "such and such sent you a message on Cougar Life" stopped. Yes, I am pretty frustrated and quite pissed, which is why I just needed to figure this out. I'm voraciously inquisitive and when I find a problem, I go after it tenaciously until I have a satisfactory answer. Don't invest yourself too much in this site. You will soon be broke and still alone. Remember, normal people do not demand that someone be "verified." Guilty until proven innocent, I guess. That is not normal, gentlemen. Normal people meet in a public place, maybe with some friends, and sit and talk and eat and drink. Be unequivocal about not following any link. Ask for a URL, the name of the company; the company's phone number; the company's address. They won't know and they will tell you to f! Off. Also, look for the changes in grammar and punctuation and point that out. You will not hear back. I realize this is a long review, but, gentlemen, I've done the research, I've tested my hypothesis several different ways and I'm solidly confident that these women are neither who they claim to be, nor do they have any interest in you at all. They want your bank account. And, that's all they want. Just be safe with your money; DO NOT FOLLOW ANY LINK THEY EMAIL YOU; politely request information to make a rational, educated decision; ensure that you update and run Malwarebytes after visiting the Cougar Life site; and, finally, leave that credit card in your wallet. Fight that temptation and pretend you don't have one. Cheers!

So this past Sunday I got a fraud alert hit on my card for nothing more then a few dollars. I called my bank and they canceled my card. I decided to check my account and I have a cougerlife inc charge of 39.95 I did not make.

My bank never mention this nor did it come up on my fraud alert, I don't have an account to check or open to even cancel, my bank has canceled my card and issued me a new card with a different number, I'm just concerned that this will be an on going charge on my new card...who can I call?

This company is advertising the same pictures in every state and city .They will charge you for something that you did not order and the toll free number you cannot speak with anyone. The number rings one time and then disconnects. Save you time and hassle from this site and do things the old fashion way go out and meet the love of your life don't pay these frauds.Again they charged me for something I did not order

Cougar life customer service, I got insulted by what are your members, and complained and you guys did nothing. He then started following me and stocking me and you still did nothing when I put it all over cougar life that he was stocking me you guys suspended my account while he is still out there doing the same to other females
So I guess it is all about the money, when a female asked for help and to be protected from a stocker she's the one that gets in trouble, you guys are nothing but a joke

When I just signed up, I got tons of messages from different women who weren't real, I think. Many of their messages were the same, only names were different, that meant they were bots.
The membership is not that expensive and I decided to pay and see what may happen.
Well, once I paid I stopped getting messages at all.
Is that website empty then, if there's no one to talk to? I don't know, looks like a scam to me. I hope they won't use my credit card again to renew my membership. Right now I'm trying to cancel it, then I will ask them to confirm it in written form.

CougarLife is an absolute joke! When I just signed up I received tons of flirts from people who were actually fake. I got many messages from men who were older than me. I'm only 25 years old and good looking, but received horrible emails from men aged 45 and above! Absolutely disgusting! They told me something about serious relationships, that they wanted to marry me! Then some of them sent me really terrible and dirty pictures of themselves! Don't get me wrong I respect older people, but these men are disgusting. I told them many times that I'm not interested in old people, but they continued to disturb me! Horrible! CougarLife is the biggest waste of time!

There are many girls there in their early 20s and they all look like top models. Girls like that don't waste their time on dating sites. Of course this is scam! Don't try putiing your email address within your profile because it gets deleted, but the funny and smart thing about these b***rds is that they don't delete it for you, when u look at your own profile ur address is still there but I made a female profile with a different email and checked my real profile, guess what! The email address was not shown! It was covered by this : [message me] !
Don't pay!

CL Media engages in very deceptive and fraudulent billing tactics. Firstly, they require you to call over the phone and speak with a representative to cancel your account. I don't see why this is necessary if you can easily sign up online, many sites with monthly subscription services can just as easily be unsubscribed online as they can be subscribed to online. Cougar Life does this because they realize 1) it's embarrassing 2) it's difficult, especially when you have to wait 15 minutes to speak with someone, I highly doubt that their are dozens of people all waiting in queue to cancel their CougarLife sub.

Next, the site itself is garbage and buggy but that's honestly what you get when you sign up for these dumb scam sites but I won't blame them for that because I fell for that trap because of my own stupidity. When you engage in illegal billing that's when I get upset.

CL Media bills you repeatedly after cancelling your subscription and deleting your account. Every time you are "accidentally" billed a sales representative ensures you that it was an error and it won't happen again. Call your credit card company or PayPal and have them block CL Media from making illicit charges to your account as it's the only way to stop this scam racketeer job from stealing your money. If enough people do this no payment processor will do business with them anymore, however the types of people who are dumb enough to sign up for this crap (myself included) are more than likely too stupid to figure out how to do this or simply be ignorant of the fraudulent charges on their account to begin with.

cougar life is a scam and they send out fake messages to lure you in and subscribe. I prooved this by logging in as a female with no info or photos and received messages within minutes. I also set up a male character with same lack of any info and was able to find it with the female character after exhausting searches. They may have maybe 5% of real hookups and the rest is scammed and they themselves monitor and fake messages admittedly. Also in the messages click off cougar c messages which is what this fake messaging and flirting is. put some work into a profie and go to match or pof.
