I'm from Toronto and they're based in Thorold, ON. So it's approximately a 1.5 - 2 hour drive. My books came fast. I bought it on the 5th and I got it today (the 10th). 9 books for around $60. It's so worth it. Yes, the books obviously aren't in good condition but you probably know this already. It's second hand books that are in good/decent quality. Books don't need to be in 100% good condition unless you plan to keep it for life and re-read it. It shipped with Canada Post and everything came all in one box. Smooth transaction and I'm so happy I discovered about this website.

When I didn't receive rewards for taking loyalty quizzes I emailed customer service and was given the points immediately. I am very happy with bookoutlet and will continue to order from them for myself and my family.

I got nearly $250 worth of books for $35, AND got free shipping. The books arrived in exactly 1 week in much much better condition than I predicted based on the price. Most of them I wouldn't have any idea they were used, and look like I got them right out of a normal bookstore, except for a fraction of the price. I bought my books during a sale and even since I've been seeing other sales happening on the website, so that makes it even better. They also have a very large selection of books that increases all the time. I am extremely satisfied with this purchase, and I'm excited to buy from Book Outlet again once I finish my huge stack of books.

I placed an order at Book outlet prior to doing any research of them or looking at their reviews. Once I looked up some reviews, I was quite disappointed and expecting the worst. I wouldn't have minded a little wear or slight tearing at the price I paid, but some reviews look much worse.

My books arrived after a total of 10 days (about 8 business days) and were absolutely perfect. I was surprised to find no flaw whatsoever in any of the 24 books I ordered. I think I had about 3 or 4 from the "S" - Scratch and dent category, but they all look brand new. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I got an awesome deal on excellent quality children's books. I ordered about 45 books from Book Outlet a couple weeks ago and paid only $150, averaging about $3.50 per book (brand new). Initially, I was skeptical about ordering because I saw so many negative reviews, but was super pleased with my order! Although my order took about 15 days (ordered April 20, received order on May 5), it was worth the wait. All my books were in PERFECT condition and I got exactly what I ordered.

I recommend buying from here for cheap prices and quality books in good condition. All my books were labeled "Bargain Book Copy," meaning that the original book store had excess copies and needed to get rid of their brand new books. 100% recommend buying from here. As a classroom teacher, I will be buying more for my diverse classroom library :)

I've ordered books from BO a few times now. Sometimes the shipping takes a little longer than I'd like. This particular order was surprisingly fast. For the most part the books arrived in very good condition. One was a little more tattered than I'd like, but considering it's a book outlet, not anymore than I'd expect.

I have received books that were on fair condition and I have reached out to BO. They exchange them with no issues. I sent them pictures and they sent me a new copy in nearly excellent condition.

I?ve ordered quite a few books from them and the more items you buy, of course the more issues you are possibly going to come across. That being said I have only had damaged books a couple times but when I have had that happen, It?s been a quick and easy process.

I recently put in an order on the Book Outlet website on the 14th and 15th, and while it says that it's shipped, I've been having trouble tracking it. When I checked the status of the shipment, it was only listed as "manifest data complete" and only partially filled, which left me uncertain about the item being dispatched. In an effort to get clarification, I sent an inquiry to their customer service department, but there has still been no response.

I decided to try submitting another inquiry to ask for a refund. However, after a few days, the ticket was labelled as "closed" without any resolution. I even checked my email to be sure, but alas, not a single notification. These little confusions and misunderstandings caused me some discomfort.

Fortunately, on December 22nd, after reaching out via PayPal dispute, I finally heard back. The customer service rep explained that there might be some delays due to Covid and the holidays and assured me that my purchase was on the way. I was also asked to wait for ten business days for the tracking status to appear and for USPS shipping to be en route. While I wasn’t happy with this turn of events, I remain optimistic.

The Book Outlet has a 30-day window for unwanted books to be returned, but I had already created an attachment to the titles I ordered, so my only option now is to look forward to receiving them. I hope that these books arrive soon as I am eagerly waiting to start reading them. If all goes well, I may even return to this platform for another purchase. Fingers crossed!

My second time with Book Outlet (bookoutlet.com) has caused some issues. I'm worried that my order may have been duplicated, as I don't recall if I ordered the same items as last time. It's also difficult to navigate the site and I couldn't find more than one book in the buy 2 get 1 deal. I consider myself educated, but I feel illiterate when using the site. Book Outlet is an online book store that used to have low prices plus a small cost for using a credit card to make a purchase. As someone who has shopped with Book Outlet for a few years now, I am disappointed in the changes they have made to their pricing strategy.

Another issue I have noticed is that customer service has declined significantly. In the past, customer service would read the problem and try to give an answer or find an answer and recontact. However, now they seem to only read a word or two and push a standard answer.

Book Outlet has some good books and some decent prices, but I had a rough time trying to buy things here. I thought I could use PayPal to make my purchase, but that didn't work out so well. I kept getting messages that told me to add a card to my account, even though my Visa debit card was already linked. I tried a bunch of times to add a new card or fix the situation, but it just kept giving me error messages or refreshing the page. Honestly, it was really frustrating!

On top of that, I've gotta say I'm not a huge fan of the Saved For Later section. The See More button after only three or four items feels like a bit of a hassle, especially when you're trying to move items around or remove them from your list. If you happen to scroll down to the lower items and make any changes, you're sent right back to the top, which can make it feel like you're constantly starting over with every edit. It's a small thing, but it definitely adds some unnecessary annoyance to the experience.

Despite those gripes, though, I'm still a big fan of Book Outlet. Their selection is amazing, the prices can't be beat, and the overall experience is pretty great. So, my daughter was all up in arms about wanting a book, and after sifting through the interwebs, I found that Book Outlet carried it. I like supporting smaller companies, and I had never heard of these peeps before, but I decided to hit them up. Well, I can tell you right now, I ain't gonna make that mistake again. I put in my order on February 27th, snagged my daughter's book - and just to keep myself company on those lonely evenings, another book for myself since I had to nab that shipping fee - but didn't see hide nor hair of it until March 11th. Homegirl was asking me every day when her book was comin' in. Finally, it arrived - or so we thought. Upon excitedly ripping open the packaging, we found that only MY book was in there. What the heck? I'm like, "No way dude, where's my other book?" I reached out to customer service, and yeah, sure, they apologized and promised to give me my money back, but- get this - said that daughter's book was now out of stock and that I should ask to be notified when they got it back in. Um, seriously? By now, my kiddo had been waitin' so long that I just ended up biting the bullet and ordering from the big, bad company that I was trying to avoid in the first place. Why was this such an impossible task for these guys to get me two books? And to top it all off, it didn't even save me money with the shipping fee and all. Such a bummer, man. I'm definitely not checking out Book Outlet again. They let me and my little one down, and I wouldn't want you to be let down, too. Keep this review in mind the next time you're looking for a book supplier.

Listen, I wouldn't wish this on anyone, but I gotta say my experience with Book Outlet was just terrible. I ordered a couple of books from them over two and a half months ago and I still haven't received them. To make matters worse, the tracking number they gave me expired ages ago. I mean, what's the point of that, right?

So, I tried to contact them to figure out what was going on. Thing is, they don't make that easy. They've got this online "ticket" system that never seems to work right. I've tried and tried to get through, but it just keeps crashing (see the picture below for proof). After a ton of attempts, I finally managed to submit my question. And you know what the response was? They basically said, "Tough luck, buddy. You're supposed to report shipment delays within 10 days of ordering (even though our ticket system was broken for a good chunk of that time). You should have read the fine print (which I swear doesn't exist). And thanks for understanding that we're not going to help you at all."

I mean, seriously? They closed the ticket like that was the end of the matter. I now have to go talk to my credit card company to try and get my money back. That's just not right.

And on top of all that, they block all comments on their social media. That's a huge red flag, if you ask me. I've ordered books from all sorts of companies all around the world, and I've never been treated this poorly. Honestly, I only used Book Outlet because they were the only ones who had the book I wanted. But after this mess, I'm never ordering from them again.

My daughter asked me every day when her book was coming. The shipment finally arrived on March 11 and my daughter opened it excitedly to find that only my book was in the large box. I contacted customer service and got a response a day later apologizing and saying they would refund my money but that her book was now out of stock and I could ask to be notified when it was back in stock. Since my daughter had waited so long already, I ended up just ordering from the huge company that I was trying to avoid. I will not try Book Outlet again. I don't understand how an order for two books could be so hard to fulfill. I wish I could get a refund on the other one I ordered, since it didn't even save me money after I paid for shipping. Seriously disappointing. I do not recommend this company.

I have been waiting for my books for 2.5 months and the tracking number has expired. Book Outlet provides no accessible way for me to contact them except their online "ticket" system which consistently crashes (see photo). After dozens of failed attempts I finally got it to submit my question successfully. The customer service rep who finally responded told me: too bad, you must report shipment delays within 10 days of your order being placed (notwithstanding much of the delay in my reporting of this was due to their non-functioning ticket system), it's your responsibility to read the fine print about this (that apparently exists somewhere) and "thank you for understanding" that we will not be providing your books, a refund, or any further assistance. Ticket closed. I now have to take this up with my credit card company due to Book Outlet's offensively unhelpful/non-existent customer service. This company also blocks all comments on their social media which is a huge red flag. I literally buy thousands of dollars worth of books every year from companies around the world and I have never encountered this level of incompetence and dismissiveness towards customers. I only used Book Outlet because it was the only place I could find a certain book, but I will never order from them again.

This website is totally legit! Honestly I started shopping here because of how cheap everything is, but I've kept coming back because of how great everything is. The selection is really amazing -- I've found so many titles that I've never seen in stores. And the books are always in fantastic condition when they arrive. I tried multiple times and it turns out that each time I tried, my account was getting charged! I didn't even know until I checked my bank account. After 12 hours of worrying and waiting, I finally got a response from their customer service team with a new "ticket" and they managed to take off all the bogus charges.

Book Outlet sure does have some great deals, but man, was checking out a hassle. You know how it is, you wanna buy a book, you add it to your cart, and then you're ready to check out. But nope, not with Book Outlet.

First off, I had to create an account. Like, why? I just wanna buy a book, not sign my life away. Then, when I went to check out, it told me I needed to verify my address. So, I had to open up my email, which caused another tab to open, which caused ANOTHER tab to open. It was a mess. I had to close one of the tabs, just to stay on track.

Then, the addresses. Oh, the addresses. I selected my country, and then it wanted me to select a "United States" associated with one of my previous addresses. But, this book was a gift for my sister, so I had to select a different address. And the same thing happened with the state, both for shipping and billing addresses.

Finally, after all of that, I still had to click a button to confirm that yes, this is the address I want to use. Like, duh, I just spent ten minutes trying to figure this out. All for one book.

But, in the end, I got the book and it was cheaper than anywhere else I could find it. So, I guess it was worth the headache. Just be prepared for a clunky checkout experience.

And I live way down in Arizona so it takes FOREVER. The initial shipping is done by Wizmo and they're not in a hurry to send my order to USPS. It's like waiting for water to boil, honestly. It takes about one long week for Wizmo to give my package to USPS and then, it's another round of waiting for USPS to finally deliver my books to my doorstep. If you're not a patient person, this company and their shipping might not be your cup of tea.

Don't get me wrong, some reviewers out there are all like "OMG, I got my order so fast!" But, my experience has been a whole different story. If you're living on the west coast or somewhere close by, you might be more ready for delivery to take a full 2 weeks! That's pretty crazy, I know. Do not believe the good reviews, BookOutlet is not that good as some people say! They have very bad customer support and they are rude and unfriendly. I bought several books from them and because of the poor packaging my books were damaged. I contacted customer service and they asked me what did I want them to do.
