Blue World Pools crap and lies

Last summer we saw the add for the pool that was $399. We called a few weeks later they came out. They told us about the more expensive pools. Then told us about the pool we were inquiring about. Of course it was a horrible pool compared to the others. So we were coned into a $10, 000 pool.

A month later they come to install the pool. Because of course according to blue world we were gauranteed financing. We sat down to sign the final paper work and i noticed aditional 6 grand. I started griping they called supposedly the pres of blue world and said they had called and my husband agreed. They played me a recorded conversation. At least a partiall recoring. My husband said that they called and said we were approved for a FREE upgrade he declined and they said that we Have to pay $10, 000 in full or they could take our house. So he knew we didnt have it he said whatever.

Well here we are one year later have paid ove 3000 and pay off is 500 more than what they said we owed on it 1 year ago. They r such crooks. There is sooo many things they have lied about i cant begin to remember all of it.

Lets see the pump was suppose to be so state of the art that u only run it 2-3 hours a day to save on the electric bill. Not true. If its not ran min, 8hrs per day u can not swim. My electric bill has been about $150 more a month than normal this time last year. Bleach only a gallon or 2 a month or every other month. Nope 3-4 gallons a week and thats not with rain or people swimming everyday.

Need less to say I have to refinance our house to try and stay in our home. By the way u might want to check and see about there lien on ur house. Ill post that after the closing. Loop wholes may be out there.

Bottom line if u see one of their commercials turn the channel. Their pools are junk their service is crap and lies.

Is there any legal actions that you can take against them if all they promised in regards to the pool is all lies?

Blue World Pools fraudsters and cheaters

I signed papers to purchase a pool from this company and then changed my mind. I cancelled the agreement within the allotted time and 4 days after the cancellation they cashed my check and made my checking account overdrawn. noone will return my calls or talk to me when I call. I am always cut off and have been given nothing but the runaround from this company. They are nothing but scam artists who want to charge $46, 920 for an ABOVE ground pool and use your house as the collateral after reading the fine print on a paper a mile long I realized this and cancelled. This business needs to be shut down.

Blue World Pools waste of time

Wish we had read this before contacting blue world pools, we only wanted to compare prices...they told us they could not quote a price on the phone, needed to schedule an in home consult which we did...Big mistake, the salesperson read from cue cards, quoted a price on the midline for almost 22, 000. How can they start at 299. and end with 22, 000. complete rip off...they must think people are idiots!

Blue World Pools scam artists

We had seen blue world pools advertise their econoline pool for years, and wanted one. Well this year we decided to purchase one for our two childrens combined birthday gift. Our kids were very EXCITED! I noticed the rep seemed hesitant to even come to our home for the initial meeting. When he got there we realized why. There is a hidden delivery fee of $395 dollars on their econoline pool which is advertised on tv for $299 without mention of any other fees whatsoever. When he arrived all of his material was describing the Midline and classic pools that start at $20, 000. He was very nice and didn't try to push a sale on us, but needless to say, our children were very disappointed! We went to walmart and bought a metal frame easy set pool that was more in our budget.

I am sorry to hear that you were scammed by this company. If you think hard about it, your only option is probably to file bankruptcy and file homestead so they cannot put a lien on your house(lawyer should know this). If you do the math you have @ least 11yrs to pay this BWP which probably $45, 000.00 for worthless above ground pool after you pay them off. If you file bankruptcy, lawyer will cost $2, 500.00 max, 7 years bad credit which a lot of company will give you a chance to build your credit back up. At least filing bankruptcy you will not be stuck paying for the pool you hate for 11 long years and at the same time did not waste your $45, 000.00 HARD earned dollars. If you are thinking of filing, close your bank account so they can stop debiting money from your account and shop for bankruptcy lawyer. If BIG companies can file bankruptcy so can we ! No need to be ashamed. :) ! GOOD LUCK ...

Blue World Pools a ripoff/stayaway from them

WE wanted a swimming for my kids, well saw this swimming pool on tv, told my husband about it call, the biggest mistake of our life, yes they came to my house, that want that I wanted said that it is no good, no good liner, and have to pay around $6, 000 to install, so he said there a pool but it is a show pool for less money do not have to pay more, and no installation fee.So they said 3 yrs to pay well if it's like that ok but you only have 3 days to cancel, so we didn't that something else was going to change, dead wrong 10 days later they call to tell me it was going to be 11 yrs, But tha salesperson said 3yrs, and she told me no we do not have that terms here.It Is 11 yrs, what a nitemare, so there is no more time to cancel, if you cancel you have to pay 11, 000 just to cancel, and no pool, plus they will put a lien on your home, and they will do whatever they want to get their money even if you don't have a pool.So stay away don't do business with them, go to wal-mart or someplace else, not them. And you will be happy you did.For us we have to pay more our stupid mistake, and a lesson learn.Doing this for our kids, and got in so much trouble to the point of losing our home.

Blue World Pools false advertising

this is a company that should be banned...the $399 special is a lie...they cannot finance this...you have to go to Atlanta to pick it up or pay over $300 for them to get it for you...then you have to carry $1200 insurance with them on pool...who the heck are they fooling...this is a bad company and should be made to install the pool as they say on TV for $399...I will make sure anyone I know will not do business with them...thank you Diane Long [protected]@yahoo.com...

Our family wanted to purchase a pool and didn't know what company to go with so finally decided to have blue-world pools install one for us. At first I thought it wouldn't be durable for my boys who have lots of energy, we have now had the pool for three years. We love it! It is the best thing to invest in. If you love the water & we do.

My husband and I are very happy with our pool from Blueworld. It rained for three days in a row and I just knew that the pool was going to be off balance, so we took our sample to the Pool Store to test it and everything tested good. They had three people ahead of us that had chlorine and salt water pools and their pools all came back off balance. The customers were like, what kind of pool do you have, so I told them about the ION SYSTEM, all we do is add bleach and our pool stays clear all the time. We love it!

Blue World Pools false advertising

I called blue world pools about the pool that they advertised for $300, The salesman that came to my house Thomas Smetherstold me that the $300 pool would cost me a whole lot more in the long run, he said with the more expensive pool I would save on electric and chemicals since with the expensive pool I would only have to put a gallon of clorox in the pool every week.Well I purchased the expensive pool and trouble from the beginning. It was supposed to be installed in one day and it took two, then it was leaking at the pump. I called blue world and they sent me the new part but I had to wait more than a week to get it fixed because they couldn't find somebody to come here and fix it. The pool was ok for a few days but only putting clorox in the pool does not work. I went to the pool store and talked to them about it and they had never heard of a chemical free pool, so I had to drain the pool and start again (15, 000 gal). Now I have to buy chemicals all the time even though the salesman said I would not have to. Also they said that it would be a show pool for them to show it up to 3 times a year to potential buyers and I hope they do.Everything that I was told was a lie. I am seriously thinking about stopping my payments on the pool. They are nothing but a bunch of scammers and liars

I have been thinking about stopping payment also. They have done the same to me. But they made us sign a paper stating that we would not cancel after 3 days. They threatened to take my house the day they showed up and instead of the 10 grand they bullied me into they had a contract 4 over 16 thousand. We are now trying to refinance our house and I am even more confused. THey (accourding to the title company) have not taken a lien out on my house. They also were asked why they do not report to credit aggencies. Good or bad. So if you dont pay they dont report and if you do pay they dont report. Something is not right with this. I believe there is a lot more going on here.

Blue World Pools omg I almost bought one the other day

I just want to say my stomach is churning reading these complaints. I didn't buy one thank god! I added their web site last summer to my favorites list and I'm shopping pools online today and I come across this site. Man, I was already convinced to buy one just because it was so cheap I fgured it had to be the only wholesale pool dealer. Anyway, I really feel for you guys because it was almost me. If any blue world pools people ever call me again I'm going to tell them to come over and give their sales pitch to my shotgun no kiding.

Blue World Pools unethical question

We needed a pool for our health, I am crippled and needed to exercise where weight would not pain me. When we saw the ad we had the money to buy the 399 pool so we called them and left a message for a salesperson to call us with more information. We were called the next day they had our SS numbers but could not find the deed information on our house could we please send them a copy of our deed. Fortunately we realized something was not right and did not follow through with them. They were very rude and very insistent on getting the information. All I can say is beware!

Blue World Pools Scammed

I got a pool from them, and it isn't what they said it was. I got the upgrade from the $395 pool as well. No chemicals, just a gallon of bleach a week. NOT! You have to use algaecide, and other chemicals as well. Not as many as a regular pool, maybe, but chemicals anyway. Not to mention, I was financed through Puronics, and I signed a contract for $14, 000 for 7 years. I tried to cancel, but was told the very next day, that the pool was already ordered, and if I cancelled now, I would be charged $7000, due immediately. I was told that if I sold my house, and the buyer didn't want the pool, they would move it to where I moved to. Well, that was going to cost me $3500 to get it moved. I had been told it would be free of charge. Then, when I was called with confirmation of my pool order, the folks at puronics told me that they had included a ionic water filter system for my home, valued at $2900, and had been added to my loan amount. I told them I didn't want it, but they said it was too late, that the paperwork had been processed, and it had been added into my financed amount. I wasn't asked in advance, informed in advance, nothing. They just did and said OH WELL. Well, I have my contract, and it shows $14000 as the financed amount, and I would love to take them to court over this, but am not sure who I can sue. I moved the pool myself, and continue to pay on it, but if I could find a way to make them feel the pain I have since I got the darn thing, I would love to. I fell for the whole thing and I don't think it is right. I will be happy to become involved in a class action lawsuit against them. just let me know.

Blue World Pools is a horrendous company to deal with. True scammers. They don’t tell you when they finance that the interest rate keeps rising and you end up paying $40,000 to $50,000 for a $3,000 pool. They also put a lien on your home and horribly rude every time you talk to them on the phone! They scammed my elderly parents. Got them to finance and put a lien on their home. My parents had already paid them over $25,000 when they where still alive. They both passed away last year and we had to sell their property to pay their debt. Blue world pools was unbelievably rude, NEVER offered any condolences for us losing our parents, only demanded the rest of their money and sent threatening text messages about the lien. When we sold their property we had to pay them ANOTHER $16,000 to get the lien off the property. In total that was $41,000 for a $3,000 pool! When I called to get the payoff the finance lady said “I will send the payoff when time permits!” I said you will send it NOW if you want it to be paid off! My lawyer even said they where extremely rude to her! They are heartless, inconsiderate, extremely rude, very selfish people who are excellent con artists! You sign their contract and your making a deal with the devil himself. They scam you with lies and you don’t even realize it until it’s too late. They take you for everything! My parents wanted to leave their children a little something. By the time blue world pools was done with us there was barely anything left! Beware! Be VERY aware!

My family was sccammed also with this pool. We did do a contract and now that we went through a divorce they put a lien on the property. Im not paying another dime. I knew it was little flakey when you look at the commercial. The pool is $299 to $399 and when they come to your house the price goes up between $7000 and $10000. I would like to join you guys on a lawsuit. Now i cant get my house back because of that dumb ### purchase.

We too were scammed. A rep came to the house and told us all the great things about this pool. We agreed to the less expensive pool. The next day they called my husband and told him they would give him the better pool for the same cost if we agreed to be a show house. My husband agreed. Then when they showed up to set the pool up, the amount was 15000 more than we were originally told. We called and they said that we had to take it or they would put a lien on the house we just bought 6 months before. Reluctantly, we signed the paperwork out of fear of losing our house. We paid faithfully on-time for the first year and a half. We then fell on financial hard times with the passing of my grandmother, totaling of my car, and my need to have surgery. We tried to call them and make arrangements at first they would do nothing. Then all of a sudden they wanted to make arrangements after calling us 15 to 20 times a day. We finally agreed and they were supposed to send us paperwork. Before we even received the paperwork they were calling us making threats to us in voicemails about our house, our credits, and comments about our personal selves. Tonight my husband answered the phone when they called us at 9:10 PM. The first time they hung up on us. My husband tried to explain to the guy that we had just got home, just received the paperwork today, and had not had a chance to look it over. The man called my husband a liar, told him to give him a break, yelled at him. My husband told him that he was going to attempt to record the call. The man told him that he didn’t give a dam and that he would never stop or leave us alone. They call our cell phones, house phones and my work phones. My children and friends have heard the messages because he speaks so loudly. He never says that this is an attempt to collect a debt. I want to sue these people and do not know how. Help….

This is the worst I ever seen, this rep come to me, and make it all sound good. My wife and I reject their offer. This man name Mike call the next morning, and explain that this was a chemical free pool, never to buy anything, and a life time guaranteed. He sent the rep back and I signed, after that I tried to cancell the contrack, I was told if I do I will pay 7, 000 dollars due immediately, that I had no choice that they will send their lawyer afetr me, well I let it go since I had no choice but the wather start turning green, I tried to call this mean man come and tell me, I was supposed to buy this or that. the steps are damage and the pool become an pain to handle. despite all my efforts these peoples keep pressuring me that they are going to take my house if I dont make my payments. I just want them to take the thing back. this is not a pool for that much money. It does not deliver what was promised. Please if anyone can help please let me know.

I think you people are missing the real crime here. The real crime is not that you paid too much for the pool...the crime is the illegal financing. Check your credit report, is there an installment loan listed...NO. Also, did you sign an installment agreement with the required true interest cost? Nope. That is illegal. What you did was sign a paper allowing a loan shark to take an amount of money out of your bank account for an indefinite amount of time. My advice, stop letting them, change your account and do NOT acknowledge you owe them anything...as you have no agreement that indicates what you owe, how much payments are, etc. The contract is illegal if it allows them to unilaterally add items at additional cost to the package...and then just automatically add it to what you owe. Do you have a paper that says when they will stop stealing from your bank account...NOPE. Because they will do it as long as they want. Do you even have a contract with the company (supposed lender) that is taking the money...Nope. Can they put a lien on your house? Doubtful. Most states require a judgement in order to do so, unless it is a mechanics lien. Most states also have a statute of limitations in order to do that...meaning if you had the pool for a couple years...too late. They must get a court order in YOUR county...go right ahead and try that. I'd like to see them try. The burden of proof is on them to show a proponderance of the evidence that you owe them something. no loan agreement and you not acknowledging a debt...forget it. The FTC should be all over these people, illegal financing arrangements...even same as cash requires a loan agreement with disclosures that are required by law. The intimidation tactics are laughable. They are just scaring you into letting them continue to rob your bank account.

They got me as well, the salesman told us we were getting a 24 foot by 52 inches deep. But when the pool got there we had to pay extra for 52 inches. They tricked us into the whole lien on our home as well. We tried to back out before the pool arrived but they threatened us with the lien and stated that if we wanted out, I would have to pay $5000. If anyone is going in on a lawsuit, count me in. These guys are awful people.

Blue World Pools they scammed, lied and stole

On July 5th, we had salesmen at our home to consider buying a pool. After 4 hours of deal making we had signed up and put a deposit on a $22, 000 pool that was promised to be installed in 2wks. The very next morning, I called to cancel the order. The customer service rep. Told me he would send my deposit back to me and there wouldn't be any problems. 4wks later, they call to inform me I can't cancel they were going to put a lean on my house, and make me pay for the pool. After scamming a little more, we thought we couldn't do anything about it. We find out our check was cashed and were guaranteed a pool installed by 8-15, well this morning I get a letter in the mail stating that their lenders are being "picky" and they can't finance a pool at this time. It's 2 months later, the end of summer and we have no pool, we lied to and robbed!BLUE WORLD POOLS IS A JOKE!

Contact your bank, and dispute the check they cashed. Generally, you have 3 biz days to cancel a contract, no harm, no foul. Always follow up a phone call with a letter confirming your conversation, who you spoke with, the date, etc.

If you can't get help from the bank, file suit in your county/city court for all sorts of things - like theft, breach of contract (I hope you have one!), etc. Check the wikis for more ideas on what to sue for. Or call an attorney - it may be the best $150 you will spend.

Best wishes.

Blue World Pools product is not what is it advertised to be

We listened to a sales person for about 3 hrs. Could only give us a good price if we gave them a down payment that day.Had phone call to office and lowered our price somewhat. No chemicals will be needed only the special Dynamo Ionizer Filter and pump(yahoo big deal) the salesman told us he would send us a free cover for winter, but somehow it was left off the order form. and we had to buy one.The liner was the best made, they would treat the ground for weeds and cover it with high grade sand. Well, guess what ? Yep you got it walking around the inside of the pool I felt weeds growing thru the liner. BEST LINER MADE NO WEEDS WILL GET THROUGH THIS! What a big fat lie. I treat around the outside of the pool with chemicals to keep weeds from growing to the pool. As for chemicals yes we use chemicals because the water turns Green if you don't. Algae grows on the steps of the ladder.Constant upkeep. the vacum that should keep the floor clean will only vaccum one side of the pool. You have to constantly take the cleaner to the unclean side of pool.If I had it all to do over I would RUN from the salesman.

The sales process is a scam. They advertise a $399 pool and your prepared land. But it costs you at least $2000 to prepare the land. The sales process tells you that the $399 is junk but they offer an alternative...for $23, 000. BAIT and SWITCH and thats how they teach it. I know because I was dumb enough to work there for 48 hours.

Blue World Pools fraud and scam

I have purchased a pool from blue world. I wish I would have found this web site before I bought my pool. I was scheduled to have my pool installed on june 11 it was june the 20th before I got my pool. They tried to tell me that they told me they had ordered the wrong pool but they tried to get me to pay extra for the upgraded pool. I was told it was a show pool that is a bunch of bull also. There is no such thing as a show pool. It is basically a chemical free pool other than the gallon of bleach a week. Most of your local pool company's have never heard of an ion system so you don't get much help from them.

My wife and I fought with this company back and forth on the phone for about a month before we finally got our pool. One other thing I can say is if you do decide to buy from them get your own financing DO NOT finance though blue world. They fail to tell you that you will be paying for your pool for 10 years. My wife and I financed though our local bank most banks will finance pool.

Blue World Pools fraud

This company is nothing but a big scam. They checked our credit illegally and never even made the appointment. We tried to call them the day of the appointment and they said "oh the representative had car trouble". After being transferred to three different people and being on hold for 5 minutes they never got back to us.

Everything you hear about this company is true!

Similar thing happened to me! The installer was supposed to come to my house.

He was a no show. I called him about three hours after the appointed time. He told me his truck broke down on the freeway the day before the day he was appointed day to come to my house. I waited a few days and called him back. He said he was planning to be at my house the next morning about 8am. He was a no show again. I called BWP. because of his third no show. I talked to Andrea, Zach and Russell.

By the time I concluded my conversation with Andrea I was crying uncontrollable. She said I was a lying old lady. I told them I no longer wanted the pool. Now they are threatening me to pay for 50% of the pool. I told them I didn't want the pool if gave it to me for free. They are the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with in my life. I wish I could go back 30 days and they would not be a part of my life.

I am going to get in touch with DAV Legal Aide

I know of this company and it's father and son ownership out of Atlanta/Marietta GA. I was hired by them as an IC in Texas, with my past experience they wanted me to relocate back to their home office but first work my way east to Louisiana. Once in Louisiana they had me running leads all over the state some were rentals and not home owners and 0 sales, the salesman must call the office on closes for price drops and they are pure bait and switch, even their best pool is not worth 1/5th installed price. They were to pay my expenses via wire and when at last I was paid it was 1/2 as agreed to, so I left. They are always available to close or take a hand off by the sales force but dodge and laugh at cancellations/homeowners. People these are just above ground pool kits, don't attach your property when financing and most will of the rails rust out eventually. Logic should tell you how can a 3 man crew with a bobcat drive to your property with insurance and install a pool for $299? A decent sand filter cost more than that wholesale...

Blue World Pools credit report

Never ever call or speak to anyone with this company the minute you give them your info they run an unauthorized credit report on you that will remain on your report for 2 years this company is a scam after calling the company to find out why this report was run I was switched around to so many people you can report and place a government complaint against this company with the ftc I would highly suggest that anyone experiencing problems with blue world do so as if enough people complain to the government they will put them out of business.

We called Blue World Pools about their advertised $299 econoline pool. It was to be a birthday gift for our children, and we thought it was within our price range. When the rep came out he was sharing material with us only on the midline and classic models (starting at $20, 000). When we told him we were only interested in the econoline he told us there was a $399 shipping fee which actually makes the price of the pool around $700. Out of our budget! But the midline and classic pools are delivered free of charge. Well for $20, 000 to $30, 000 They should be! He said in the five years he had worked for the company he had only sold "1" econoline pool! The liner is very very thin and he said the pump isn't big enough to circulate that much water therefore you have to use lots and lots of chemicals to keep your pool clean. He wasn;t a pushy salesman as a matter of fact he actually seemed to sympathise with us. He said he used to call and warn his potential customers about the econoline scam until he got repremanded for it. I pray that everyone does their homework before buying a pool if they're considering Blue World Pools. Be aware, it's a scam!

Blue World Pools don't use them

Do not use this company. We had an appointment that they never showed to and when we called they were very unprofessional and rude! The rep named Ron and Janet the "supervisor" laughed at my husband's frustration and then said they may have someone out around 8:30 pm. I looked them up on this site and immediately cancelled! Thank Goodness! This company should DEFINATELY be closed for ripping off hard working people! Don't use this company! Scam Scam Scam Scam Scam Scam! I strongly suggest you go to a local retailer and not use this bull company.

Blue World Pools hopefully this will help some of you

It appears that this company has screwing hard working people out of their hard earned money down to a T. so here is some information that hopefully will help some of you out. First, if you are in day 1 or 2 of meeting with a salesman and want to cancel you need to type up a letter addressing it to the company. read your paperwork, it is clearly printed in there where to send the cancellation letter to. I met with the salesman on a Sunday, tried calling finance on Monday, and again Tuesday. Was told the typical 'I am not authorized to handle your cancellation but I will have the person who is call you back' This is where they get you. Ignore what they say type up your letter and get your happy rear to the post office by the end of day 2. pay the 16.00 to overnight the letter to the address in the paperwork where it says to send it. some have said they sent the letter to the company's home office in GA. Doing that can screw you in the end as the paperwork you signed clearly states the procedure. With that said, now that you have sent the letter overnight you can track it through the usps website and you can also get signature verification. Print this information out and keep for your records. **you can also do this on day 3 as long as it is postmarked within the 3 days** and yes every state in the US has the 3 BUSINESS days (if you agree to get a pool on Friday you by law have until that following Wednesday to get it canceled) contract cancellation policy.

Second, place a stop payment on your check. The stop payment is good for 6 months. Your bank will ask the reason (I think this gets sent to the company along with the returned check) you simply tell your bank that it is because you have canceled your contract within the 3 day alloted time.

Total cost for cancellation... around $40. Money saved in the long term (including Interest) aprox $30, 000 The ripple effect this would have on the company if everyone was able to do this PRICELESS.

Blue World Pools don't buy from them

We bought a pool off of Blue World Pools last year, was told that it would cost $4, 000 and ended up costing $14, 000. We were also told that if we cancelled they would put a lien against our house. We were also told that our pool would be a show pool and that we would get all the upgrades, we were also told that they upgraded our pool to a 27ft round pool for no charge, yeah right after it is all said and done, we will be paying $44, 800, for a $4, 00 pool. What a scam!

They called me and said that we had called and cancelled our contract, and they were charging all this money, for a pool that we didn't even have yet. We had words and then they were a month late putting my pool in.

I told them they better not send anyone to my house, because I will tell them not to buy from this company. I have threatened them with a lawyer, but they know, once you sign the contract, there is nothing you can do. This company needs to be sued and stop right now.

What ever you do, DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY
