Bata India some manufacturing defect

Bought a hush pupppies shoe in chennai during a visit. Within 5 minutes, my skin started hurting and top skin came off above the right heel. Tried to exchange in bangalore, Jaya Nagar branch. The manager was not there and instructed his sales person not to entertain an exchange and asked me to go to Chennai. This is funny. Bata should be able to exchange the product anywhere in India, right?

This is my fourth hush puppies and never had a problem till now. Hope help arrives.

Bata India uncomfortable rainy shoes

Dear Respected Sir,

I had purchased a Ladies Rainy Pair on 30/6/09, Article No.5528607 for Rs.299/-from Bata Shoe Store at L.T. Road, Babhai Naka, Borivli (W), Mumbai - 400 092.

I had barely worn the pair for 10 to 15 minutes and they started hurting me so badly on both the feet (on the toes & ankel) that I had to come back home without wearing the shoes.

I went back to return the pair to the Bata Shoe store from where I had purchased the pair. The manager there refused to exchange the shoes no matter how I made him understand. I even said I don't mind paying something extra and taking another pair.

I feel he should have exchanged the pair on humanitarian ground & limited use, realising that I have paid for it and it will only be a waste of money / shoes for me.

Sir, I request you to kindly reflect on my complaint and let me have your favourable reply with regards to customer care service /customer satisfaction.

On 26th January '09, I have purchased one pair ladies sandal from Bata India Ltd.'s showroom at 53, S P Mukherjee Road, Kolkata - 700 026. They have charged me Rs.399/- for the same. On the packet of the article, Model No. is mentioned as "N068 671-6905 - Foot size 5". After one day's use, the sticker labbled on the sandal worn out and the actual price printed on the sandal is visible as Rs.349/-. I have requested the said shop to refund me the excess amount charged by them, but they refused my request. I, therefeore, request you to please intervene the matter and ask them to settle the matter wihtout any delay.

I have also complained about this thruogh customer care department and the mails exchanged between are quoted below :

"In response to your e-mail dated 9th February ’09, please note that you have not replied to my actual question as to whether you have any right to charge revised price for a product manufactured prior to revision of its price? Further, you have not disclosed the date of manufacture of sandal on its packet. It is evident from the price tag/sticker of Rs.399/- labeled on the earlier price of Rs.349/- printed on the sandal that this pair of sandal was manufactured on a date prior to revision of the price.

Further, I deny your contention that the stores staff concerned at 53, S P Mukherjee Road, Kolkata – 700 026 (Phone No.2454 6608) had communicated to me abut the revised price at the time of billing. For your information, I came to know the real fact when the price tag/sticker of Rs.399/- moved from the sandal after one day’s use. Then only the actual price of Rs.349/- printed on the sandal was visible!

I, therefore, once again request you to arrange refund of the excess amount taken from me without any further delay. If you fail to do so, I have left with no other alternative except to approach the appropriate Forum to claim for my refund along with compensation.

Hope you will not compel me to take such steps against you and, of course, that will not speak good for a reputed company like yours.

Also in accordance with the market dynamics we have internal company promotions and campaigns that include Price revisions from time to time. Incase there are such price revisions all the revised prices are communicated to customers at the time of billing. We have verified with our Store Staff at S P Mukherjee Road Kolkata and they have clarified that the revised price for the same was communicated to you at the time of billing .i.e. the current MRP of article no. 6716905 purchased by you is Rs. 399.

In this connection, you are requested to let me know the exact price for the said article. You will agree that even if there is any increase in the price of a particular item, the same should be applicable to the new stock only and not for the old stock. I failed to understand as to how the shop owner is doing such malpractice. On the packet of the sandal, manufacturing date of the article is also not shown.

I would, therefore, request you to please look into the matter and instruct the said shop owner to refund me Rs.50/- excess charged by them immediately. The refund cheque payable to me at Kolkata may be sent to me at my below mentioned address.

Bata India shoe sole broken

purchased a shoe for my husband on 4.7.08 who is in Dubai and sent to him since I always go in only for bata products. Unfortunately within a month the sole of the shoe broken and my husband came on vaction only now and brought it. When I approached the retail shop at Tambaram where I purchased the shoe, they did not accept for replacing and wanted me to raise a complaint. inv No.000829 dt.04.07.08 for rs.499/-. I purchased Sandle 871-4003 from Auth dealer of Bata at C-7, Shalimar Garden-II on 08.05.09, bill No. 10066, the bottom's pasting removed within 02 weeks, dealer said come after one month, when visit on 14.06.09, he misbehaved and deny to give even 50% of the amount . the another problem in the sandle that due to wearing the same, it caused sever pain in heels and middle area of feet and it is untolerable pain while walking with them. even more I offered the dealer that I am ready to bear the loss of 1/2 amount as mentioned in the bill and asked him not to give the money in cash and give me another light weight sancle and just adjust the half of the claim but he denied and misbehaved said "Jao Kahin Bhi chale Jao" and even not accept the sandle for repair also. please look into the matter with the approptiate feedback and action.

I have been using the BATA chappal "Doctors Scroll for the past so may years. Of late it is observed that the sloe is getting faded within amonth. When the same was asked in the Bata Show room they say it is because of the sweat.

If a chappal costing Rs 1200/- is having this problem I think Bata Company has to stop manufacturing this product.

Bata India bad quality products

I purchased a foot wear from Bata, Vazhuthacaud, Trivandrum on 28/06/2007. I wore it continuously for four days. On the third day onwards it started itching on the leg. The next day the itching was unbearable and so to discontinue the use of the footwear. The footwear was the make of Comfit and it cost Rs. 500/-. I took the footwear for replacement to the showroom on 05/07/2008, but the manager of the showroom said they had no provision for replacement for allergy, but only for manufacturing defect.

Bata India defective chappal

I purchased bata Dr scholl's at 5 th Nov '07 from shop no.5 krishana Kutir, station rd Andheri (w), cost of chappal is Rs. 1199, but I feel very uncomfortable because of shoe bite,& now I can't wear it, it appears defective piece because shape of one chappal is different, I just want to replace my chappal kindly help me. thanking you

Sir,

I purchased a pair of Dr.Scholl's sandals on 15-07-09 from 2342-43 A.K Road, Karol Bagh.N.Delhi.
The sandals became so loose after 60 days of use and I went to the store in R.N. Bazar, Jammu, to register a complaint. I have made 5 such trips to the store but there never is anyone in authority to register a complaint. I am always told to come at a later date.

Please advise on action to be taken as the sandals are not giving the comfort they are advertised for. As also the softness at the heel has disappeared which causes discomfort.

Bata India poor service!

I am from bangalore. Last month I happened to see a discount sale up to 50% board outside a bata showroom. I went inside and started having a look at the shoes on which there was discount up to 50%.

I noticed that the material which was being displayed are of poor quality and out dated design. Only specific sizes are available. If you like a particular design then you may have to sacrifice it as they do not have discount on other sizes of the same model. For example, if you have selected a shoe of 10'size, you have to take it if you want discount, even though your actual foot size may be greater than or lesser than 10".

Most importantly, the total concept of discount is farce. New rates are pasted on the stocks which are not sold for quite some time. I noticed that the shoes which I had purchased had a old price sticker for Rs. 790/- and new price sticker for 1399/- was pasted just beside the old one. The dealer had given me a bill for 790/- and said that you have got 40% discount which is totally misguiding the customer.

Bata India unsatisfactory service

I had purchased a pair of shoe a few months ago from your Ghatkopar West Branch, Mumbai. On trying at home, I found that the shoes are smaller by one size and immediately I went for exchange of the same. From the very day, I have been informed that the required size is not available in the shop and I that I may have to go for some other choice which is available in the shop. I was stunned to hear the reply and not only that whenever I go to find out whether the required size is available, I get the same response every time. And, whenever I visited, I notice that they take the inventory of the stock instead of attending to the customer. Now that I have no option except to approach to the Consumer Grievances Redressal Forum.

I am a student of Rajkumar College Raipur (C.G) studing in class 7th . I had purchased a sport shoe from Chhindwara bata shop near government girls college in the month of April . I have used the shoe only for a month and i found that the soel of the shoe was damaged and also the inner soel.
i wonder how bata shoes are not durable . Please see that the name of your reputed company should not spoil . If you canhelp me please help in replacing the shoe

Bata India manufacturing defects

I had purchased a Hush Puppies shoes from the Bata show room at M G Road, Secunderabad (ph: 040-[protected]) on [protected].

The left shoe's sole is totally ruptured across the length. It has got too many cracks as compared to right ones. I went to the show room on 7th June 2007 to tell about the defect. I was asked to wait for one hour. Later, I was told - "Nothing can be done. You can change the bottom with payment. Do what ever you want to do!". This is not the way a showroom owner talks to a person. I am working as scientist in Department of Space. I was offended in front of rush, where lot of school children were present (because of school reopening time).

I have been using Hush Puppies shoes from last 16 years. Earlier it was made by Hindustan Lever. Now, Bata makes it.

It has in fact torn much before eight months of its age. I usually go on tour. Even the owner asked me to come after seven days. He did not accept the shoes. But I approached him with a written complaint.

We should not loose the trust with Bata.

My name is . I purchased one of your products (article number -2716936) last week from one of your showroom at Kazhakkuttam, in Trivandrum, Kerala .On the second day of my purchase when I was walking through the footpath of a busy road the sole of my sandal got removed and fell into the road. It is only because of your manufacturing defect poor quality control. After that I bought a new one from a nearby shop. When I complaint this incident to your showroom .They told me that only if I bring the sandals sole they can do anything. So I brought and gave it to them.

Bata India soles of the newly purchased shoes damaged

After purchasing a shoe for a high price of 1200-/- It is really disheartening that the shoe has shown such a complaint.

I had been purchasing Bata shoes even from my school days and had always liked the brand.. But now surprisingly I am forced to hate it... As I have started observing many complaints in this brand. I am worried about the quality concept being lost at Bata.

I have purchased Bata shoes on 17th February 2007 from the company operated showroom near the signal at Gandhipuram, Coimbatore, Tamilnadu, India. The sole of the towel has just got damaged after a very limited use. A large crack has occurred in the sole and has opened up. Another crack has started appearing on the other shoe also. I have lodged my complaint in the store where I had purchased it, and found that the response though good... it is of no use to me as they had asked me to report to the Calcutta office - customer care centre... I am surprised by the fact that I buy a shoe at Coimbatore and I had to lodge a complaint at Calcutta.

I was informed that the shoe can be given the compensation by 100% only within 15days of purchase and nothing can be done after 75 days. I do not expect shoes from Bata to only hold good for 75 days as the same guarantee can be given by a unauthorized roadside vendor. I expect more from bata to take care of the customers.

Being an Quality Assurance officer in an reputed organization, I am extremely conscious about the quality of a product and customer satisfaction, as we take atmost care to retain our customers. I would expect a similar role from Bata India limited too.

I would like to know from BATA how they are going to treat my complaint. The way they are to respond to my complaint would reflect their faith on the Quality system and Customer satisfaction.

I wanted to share my experience & writing a mail with deep regret and anguish as I had visited along with my family on dated on 18th Nov-11 @ 9:20 to your BATA showroom located at Bannerghatta Road Bangalore next to Petrol Pump,

Its was 9:20pm when your shop was above to close & the staff was above to pull the shutter, I was inside my car & asked my wife to request the staff for purchasing a pair of white canvas shoes form my son, My wife entered the shop & ask the cashier.. Hi I need to purchase a pair of white canvas shoes, the cashier & other staff was busy gossiping in Malayalam language, she again said excuse me can you give me a pair of shoes, the staff replayed arrogantly no we are close, madam come tomorrow, No pls help me as tomorrow will be to late as my son has to attend the class @ 8am, No no Pls go away that is not my problem, you should have planed since morning why now at this time, do you think we are dog to slog for 24hrs, My request again don’t worry I know what is want to purchase Pls… Staff laughed at her & asked her to leave, she came out of store, I asked her what happen? did you manage to buy, she replied those 3 boys at the store are bunch of Joker has no respect for a women, I said ok let me request them…

Me & my wife again entered the store, 1 of them came out of the counter and looked at my wife and told, are you mad to come back again after telling that we are close, I was very irritated & furious that how can a staff talk to my wife in this fashion, I immediately asked the staff how dare you talk to my wife like this, he did not respond & started walking towards store room, I stopped him & asked for the shop manager/owners mb numb, he stood back & came close to my face & said this is company you get lost from hear as I am getting angry now, I stood their & did not no what to do with this arrogant staff who was constantly laughing on us & chatting in their mallu language, but I would understand few of their action that they were abusing me, I finally wanted to give them back & walked up to counter & said this is not done your billing counter is still open & your are fooling us, Both of them came out of the counter & started using vulgar language on me & tried to push me out, my wife was very embarrassed with their language, she finally could not tolerate any further & pulled my hand towards entrance, as we were walking, 1 of them replied ? get out are else you will be physically pushed out of the store, I stood & tried to tell him that you will face the music for the bad behavior, he came all the way & cot my T-Shirt & ask me to go are else I will not be able to control my anger, my mom & son rush from the car & took me out,

I really don’t know, what type of quality benchmarks are you following during the course of your manufacture. You are literally taking the Customer for a ride without adhering to any quality benchmark/standards. I feel your Bata showroom is just a show piece with high pricing and with no customer service, and is no more better than an ordinary store where there is no quality at all. Please introspect and take necessary action and these things are not repeated. Customers like me will always vouch. Time is not far, if you start facing legal action for your pathetic service and scant, I am so disappointed that I am being wearing bata shoes right from my childhood & now my children’s,

Trust I will never again step in any of your bata stores in my dreams! Pathetic & poor customer service

I will certainly take this to a next level & will consult my office legal team on this worst horrifying experience of my life

Hi,

I have been informed by the customer service department person of Bata that I have to put up a mail to the customer.service@bata.co.in for any query related to shoe repair / replacement and I will get the revert from the department within 24 hours of putting up a mail. But still no courtesy has been shown after sending the reminders also.

The goods were purchased just 1 month back. And I have already done so many communication with your customer service department but no one is ready to answer my question.

After looking all the above complaints it seems that i have made a big mistake by purchasing the BATA shoe. Forget about the quality, customer service is also the worst.

Sorry to say the quality has drastically gone down and the customer service from BATA, is very bad.

I have been pourchasing a lot of products from bata. But in recent times, their quality ans service has come down drastically. I started a hate for this brand after my shoes came apart in just a week of using it. when apprached the store, they told it cannot be replaced but only repaired. Who would like to use a shoe reparied within a week. I am not confident the product will last any longer. Their customer care is pathetic. Hope someone from Bata is looking at these seriously before it is too late

I am also a reputed company’s sales supervisor, if products default comes to our notice we try to solve the problem as soon as possible but your dealer is not ready to take any responsibility.

Bata India leather shoes and chappels stolen from checking baggage

I traveled on 12-May-2007 from Hyderabad to Chicago (ORD) via Mumbai by AI 601, AI 127. After getting down at Chicago and on verifying I found that my leather Shoes and chappels of worth Rs. 3000/- were stolen from checking baggage. To buy the same in US, I need to shell out much more than that. Hence I express my serious concerns on this theft.

Bata India worst customer service

Hi All,

I would like to inform you all worst customer support given by the bata showroom - T. Nagar - Chennai - India.

I have bought a sandals of Rs.699/- three months ago and primary usage is shoe within three months the sandals sole got cracked then I went to T. Nagar bata branch informed about the issue they said manager not available so you come some other day then I left and again came after one week then I met Mr. Venkatesan (Asst. Manager) - T. nagar he said this has to be approved by the branch manager I have given a letter stating all the issue I faced and he committed me that he will give me replacement and he will be calling me once the request has been approved by the manager.

No reply so I went to the branch asked about the status I came to know that the letter with sandals which I given to branch manager was missing I politely waited for 1 hour that too in a weekdays atlast he couldn't find out the sandals then I asked how long should I wait literally he given rubbish response I ever faced before with anybody.

My intension is not get the replacement but somebody should intervene in this issue and ask for the explanation that this type of response should not happen anybody.

Thank you bata giving me a wonderful experience.

I don't to whom should I escalate please fwd to the concern group.

Worst Customer service in Kundanhalli as well as Marathahalli branch(Biggest Retail showroom).I tress the word "Worst".
Nobody is ready to show the sandals and everyone is rude to customers.
Concerned Person, Please do something to this unpleasant behaviour.

Bata India bata shoes product complaint

I had purchased the product Hush puppi - 546938 costing Rs. 1999 on 12/01/2007 at bata's showroom at LT Road - Borivli (W) - Mumbai.

On 23/02/2007 the shoe had a tear as the sole had come out. I was shocked as the faith I had in the brand. I have been a loyal customer of bata & my family has been purchasing and recommending only bata shoes. The quality of the product seems to have deteriorated & loyal customers like me need to stop believing & rethink in our faith towards your product.

To my dismay there was a rude shock awaiting at the store. I took the shoe to the Bata store to avail of the guarantee within 75 days & I found it shut & a notice put on it. It was a notice by "Bata Management" that the shop has been closed down & taken over by bata management. I did not have time to hunt for a bata service centre or help line if any existed. I took it to the nearest cobbler & fixed it.

Bata India the quality of the both shoes is different

I purchased BATA shoes (Shoes size N0. 3 in Black clour, Rs. 199/=, Cash Memo No. 11786 on 21st January 2007) for my son from BATA authorised dealer 5940/084 Shop No. C002, Sanpada Railway Station Complex, Sanpada (E), Navi Mumbai-400 705 Maharashtra, INDIA.

It is observed that, the quality of the both shoes is different i.e. one shoe is rough finishing (Matt) and another is glossy finishing. The manufacturing date July 2005 was mentioned on packing box.

I was complaint in that shop, they refused to replaced that shoes. Suggest everyone do not buy Bata products!

Dear Sir / Madam,

I am Mr. Gajanan V. Jog from Mumbai, working as a Marketing Manager in a Export Firm.

I had bought pair of Shoes of BATA Ambassador a year before.

And since then I wore them hardly 3-4 times while having special occasions, and surprisingly the left shoe sole has cracked into 2. Can you explain what is quality standards you are maintaining before you sell your products.

I am very much dissatisfied with this experience, the only reason I bought for being Indian to buy Indian products.

After paying Rs. [protected] if this the quality you are providing is not acceptable as a consumer.

Kindly let me know your answer on the matter.

I had purchased one pair of Bata shoes Model No. 801 - 6553 From BATA SHOE STORE (WBST. NO.-[protected], CST No.-[protected]) at Asansol on 28/02/2006 (Cash memo No.15965) Rs.1099/-.

After using the shoe for only 1 month the upper portion leather was getting cracked & the signing surface was falling out during brushing & Polishing ultimately the shoe is not usable.

With much regrets I had approached the Bata Shop from where I had purchased the shoe & lodge my complain on 20th Nov’2006. The manager of the shop neither received my complain nor taking any action to replace the shoe pair. As a result I have lost faith on Bata Shoes!

Bata India bad quality shoes

I bought a Bata shoe for 999 from a newly opened showroam in Mira Road. On reaching home I decovered that the shoe was was defective it had marking of restiching. looks like it was a seconds item. THis was promple replaced on complaint but refused to say how can a low quality be sold.

Even the new shoe is of bad quality, I am cheated.

That was my lasy buy from BATA.

As per the information provided by you and the feedback taken from the store as a special case we extend to you a 100% replacement for the pair shoes being held by you. Please note the following with respect to the replacement

1. If the same pair (article number / model) and size is available at the store we will provide you with the same pair at 100% of the cost

2. If the same pair (article/model) is not available in the store (due to non availability of same model, size, color etc) you can avail the replacement (in this case also you will have to submit the damaged shoe to us) in value terms. It means that whatever value of the shoe was paid by you we will adjust 100% of the same value against your next purchase from the store.

3. Please note that there is no cash refund.

4. Damaged pair have to be submitted to Bata for replacement - mandatory

5. THE ABOVE APPROVAL FOR 100% REPLACEMENT IS VALID TILL 31th July 2010.

Bata India mismatch pair of shoes!

I have purchased power shoes of grey color. As usual I have purchased Bata product. But to my surprise this is first time I got a pair of mismatch. I have not even used it, or walked on the road. The very first day it was noticed by my friend that both leather finishing not matching at all. When I went to the shop for exchange, I was told to rub the left foot shoe to make it look equal with the right one. Generally this happens with the suede leather shoes. I was surprised. I did not argue at all.

Since my childhood I have been buying only BATA shoes. So I have hope to get it from BATA. I have been looking the BATA website an so I am here putting my complaints.

Depending on the response I get I may change to some other products next time when I go to buy shoes for me or my family.

I fully agree with this complaint. I am also having some serious defeat got occurred in my newly purchased shoes which is under warranty of 75 days. It is supposed from the BATA company to replace it as soon as possible.

I was coaxed to buy a pair of shoes under discount. The sales man promised that the discount was due to ;slow movement; of the product & not for any defect. Within one month of purchase when I noticed serious defect, the sales man refused to accept. On the front of the receipt it had written in a very ineligible letter that the product does not enjoy warranty. Where as the message at the back of the receipt is different. I was shocked. It was a case of sale by mis-representation. The sales manager was extremely impolite as well.

Bata India - extremely poor quality footwear

I bought a pair of footwear size 9 for my 17 year old son on 02/09/2017 by paying Rs.499 from Bata India Ltd Showroom, 115, Sampige Road, Malleswaram, Bangalore. My son used the same on 03/09/2017 and within 5 minutes of using the buckle, the thread, the velcro everything was out and he had to limp back home. I took the poor quality footwear to the showroom...

Bata India shoes worn out

I purchased shoes of your company (Bata) and I regret to say that quality of that product is really below my imagination. The leather used for manufacture of this shoes is worst and I have no satis faction with the poor quality of products from Bata shoe company.

I am attaching the photographs of shoes & the Bill-Copy.Please look into the matter & consider replacment for the shoes.
Purachased 8214138 size:8 rs : 1300 on first week of january.It was damaged within a week .Visited your store and settelled claim at an extra cost of Rs 700.New item 8182164 c.m no : 388449 dtd 6/2/2012. Power shoes damaged hardly used for two months shown to store leather cuts near bottom sole & stiches, shoe lase tie part also broken.I have used power joggers but this kind of defects in shoes i have seen first time .So kindly Exchange the shoes & mantain Bata Quality.

the white canvas shoes used in schools are really of bad quality the adhesive is verypoor i bought a pairof shoes the very next day the adhesive had gone . Since in most of the schools they dont allow any other except canvas we have to stick to bata . the quality of these shoes has to imoprove so that it will atleast last for six months . it does not even last for two months kindly dosomething thank u sir.i reside in chennai .

i had bought a bata leather shoe FOR RS1999three months back.the right foot shoes has broken from the back.the show room has got the shoe repaired three times.now its broken again. the shop says that they will give me 75% of the cost adjusted. sir i think its not my fault and i will have to pay rs500.i am from jammu.the shop is at raghunath bazar jammu.

The quality of Bata shoes is not only below imagination, but the cheapest available in the market. I purchased a pair of shoes (Priced Rs. 1100/=) and the sole of the shoe detached on a months time.

On 7th June-08, I have purchased the Shoe from your Bata Show Room at Andheri Kurla Road-Sakinaka under Cash Memo / bill no-07.06.08/01/0056 amount paid Rs 1200.00& Article Code-8016132 KULBY.

With-in 25 days of purchase Bata New Shoe damaged due to Manufacturing Defect,

Sakinaka Showroom Sales Representatives ready to repair the same, which is not acceptable to me.

As you are aware that the lease agreement of our Pathankot shop that took place between Bata India Ltd and my father Mr. Sudarshan Kumar Anand has already expired on the 31st of March 2007 after a period of 15 +5=20 years, Bata India Ltd has still not handed over the possession of the shop to us, although the shop has already been closed for the last so many months due to lack of business.
Sir please let me know the date on which the possession of the shop wil be given to us without wasting more time. Also let me know if I have to bring Power of attorney from my father to take the possession as he is not well.

Subject: - Non payment and Revision of Rent in respect of Shop No. 114 Edward Lines leased out to BATA.
Personal Attention: - Mr. Harpreet Singh Vice President Commercial

Sir,
Please refer to your letter dated 11th January 2007 on the above mentioned subject wherein you have stated that the rent was stopped due to the Death of Dr. Chaman Laul (Died on 16-08-2002) and have requested me to send an affidavit to prove the legal ownership of the Shop.

I am not only surprised but shocked with your statement. It appears that you are not aware of my numerous letters to your office and the Meeting my representative had which were arranged by the Shop Manager Mr Kapoor with Mr. Subhir Banerjee than DM on 14-10-2004, Mr. Pardeep Paul in Gurgaon in May 2005, and Mr. Pankaj Massy on 10-02-2006 at Kashmiri Gate Office and Mr. Arun Kathuria DM at Kingsway Camp shop in Nov. 2006. During all meeting these Officers had with my representative kept on ensuring that matter was being looked into, but even after more than 3 years of persuasion there was not even a single communication from your Office. Only now when I had requested Commissioner of Delhi Police about my Harassment from your Office, I am being informed that the payment of Rent was stopped because of the Death of my husband which is an absolute lie and the factual position is as under.

My husband died on 16-08-2002. Thereafter on the basis of affidavits filled by all the legal heirs the shop was registered in my name on 06-09-2002 at the Registrar Office at Rohini. After change in Registrar records, I approached the office of L & D O and the Original Records of allotment were changed in my favour vide L&DO letter No.L&DO/PS-II/265 dated 30-04-2003 signed by Dy. L&D Officer Sh. V.N. Tripathi. A copy of the same was enclosed with my letter given to Mr Subhir Banerjee on 14-10-2004 in Shakti Nagar Office and also posted vide my letter dated 03-01-2005 (copy enclosed for ready reference) which was duly received in your office. At this stage when the property stands Registered in my name, the question of any Affidavit does not arise.

In fact the rent was stopped because I requested vide my letters dated 14-10-2004 and 03-01-2005 to increase the rent which was not increased for so many years.The Market Rent and cost of living index had risen tremendously and there was a huge demand by the MCD due to increased in property tax which was more than the rent. A copy of this letter along with mutation letter and death certificate was again given to Mr. Pradeep Paul in his Office in May 2005 as my original letter dated 03-01-2005 through which all these documents were sent, were not traceable in your Office record. A copy of all these documents were again handed over to Mr. Pankaj Massy then DM in Kashmiri Gate Office in Feb.2006 together with a copy of Notice dated 11th Feb. 2006; which was received from MCD about attachment/sale of the property and also upto 7 years of Rigorous Punishment for not paying the property tax (Copy Enclosed).

I therefore, request you to have a mercy on an 87 years Old ageing Widow and make genuine efforts to sort out the problem looking at the present Market rent increase in property tax, cost of living etc, so that I may lead an honorable life independently taking care of my Health, Medicines and save my property from any attachment/sale of property or serve punishment as mentioned in the MCD notice handed over to Mr. Massy (Copy Enclosed).
