Coles Supermarkets Australia

Today at Coles Supermarket in Waurn Ponds amongst my supermarket purchases I had selected 8 Coles Myer Gift Cards for which I wanted $25.00 credit allocated to each gift card
The lady putting my purchases through then advised me she could not register all 8 of the cards in one purchase as the rules were I could only purchase a maximum of 5 cards at a time
Thus I would need to complete a purchase of 5 and then go back though the register to pay for the other 3
I insisted that I would not be doing that as I have never been told by anyone how I should or should not organise how I spent my money
I would like a reasonable explanation as to why this process is part of your policy and to why there is no warning to the buyer that this rule exists
If Coles don't want my $200.00 or in fact my custom just let me know and I will take my average of $200.00 per week or $10, 000.00 per year
to our local Woolworths
I am not very happy re today's debacle and await your explanation
