Avoid Clinique.com at all costs. Awful customer service - return policy changed without notice. Years ago, and again in 2026. Moving target. If they change policy yet again, you'll lose money because unopened (but subpar products) become non-returnable.
Several years ago, Clinique suddenly changed their time limit from 365 days to 30 days. Without notice. They don't stand behind their products, many of which are very bad for the skin to start with.
More recently, Clinique changed their 2025 holiday/Christmas return policy. When I purchased items from Clinique in Nov 2025, their written online policy stated that returns of items purchased between Nov 1 2025 and Dec 24 2025 would be eligible for return through Jan 31 2026. As recently as Jan 13 2026 (possibly even later in Jan this year), I still would have been able to return 2025 holiday purchases thru Jan 31 2025. Even from my online order history, I would have been able to initiate those returns, if i had only known that two weeks later the company would reverse their holiday return policy. Imagine my surprise when I discovered today that Clinique changed their policy to a very strict 30 day return time limit! Essentially voiding their very recently-advertised holdiay return policy. I called Clinique customer service toll-free number, and was told Several Times by the phone rep: "sorry bout dat." Not convincing, especially considering that she sounded like she was from the United States...but still couldn't speak proper English. She was very impolite (rude) from the very start of our call.
Clinique.com has gotten the last dang dime they'll ever get from me. In fact, after buying Clinique products from retail stores for 50 years, I will never ever again buy any Clinique product from any vendor. Not from Amazon...not from Belk...not from Dillards...not from Macy's...not from Sephora, and not from Ulta.
I've been using Clinique City Block SPF 25 for almost 40 years. Although I like it enough to have purchased for decades, I am done with Cliniuqe proudcts...forever and ever.
Most Clinique products are simply overpriced junk...and many are very irritating to the skin. So much for "dermatologist tested'...haha! Adios Clinique! I've spent many thousands of dollars on Clinique products fro decades. Screw me once, screw me twice, you'll never have a chance to screw me thrice!
What could Cliique do to improve this situation? Very simply, stop being a greedy company...that makes a lot of revenue from screwing customers out of refunds.
Claimed loss: $650 to $700
