I bought a Twenty five hundred watt inverter from Northern tools in 2021.. the inverter has been great to me and my shop one day the pull cord housing snapped and I immediately took it back to northern tools where I just knew I would be serviced because of my warranty but not was I wrong I've jump through hoops to get my equipment back. I have done everything possible to give them everything they needed to fix it under warranty but I have yet to get my equipment back and the work at northern tools on military hwy in Norfolk Virginia is always out and is never at work and the other has been out of work for at least a month how can that be... so many ppl depend on their equipment and this is not yet... this store socks and Champions customer service is horrible. It will almost be a month since they have had my equipment and I can't conduct business like this

I recently had the pleasure of giving the Champion 25 Ton Full Beam Log Splitter, Model 100251 a try and I must say, I was quite impressed. From the moment I received the package, the assembly process was straightforward and simple. However, it's worth noting that I did require some assistance when handling the massive main beam. Without help, maneuvering it around would have been quite a challenge.

The only issue I encountered during assembly was with the fitting that connects the hydraulic return line to the tank. It's a tapered angle fitting that seems to have been engineered for use in conjunction with a hydraulic oil filter (which was not included in this model). When installed directly into the hydraulic oil supply tank, it only screws in about 3 1/2 turns or 3/8". Although it seems to be functioning okay for now, I worry that this could potentially lead to leakage issues down the line. A better-designed fitting that could thread deeper into the female port in the tank would have been a smarter choice.

Prior to purchasing the log splitter, I had read some reviews, and one thing that surprised me was that the clear pressure side hydraulic hose has not been changed to a heavier hose with threaded connectors on each end. At present, the hose is attached with clamp-on fittings, which could potentially lead to dangerous oil showers if they were to work loose.
