Carrington Mortgage Services review: Escrow account not being paid

Hi, my name is Keona Saunders for loan #7000111185, for the property located at 4052
Oakmont Dr. Granite City, IL 62040.
Under Regulation X I am providing you with a “written notice of error” identifying the escrow
payment failure.
Carrington Mortgage failed to pay my escrowed insurance premium that was due
06/01/2026, in the amount of $3,242.00. Carrington received the invoice three months prior
and did not make this payment, I am devastated beyond due to my loss and my tenants do
not have working water or air.
My mortgage is not late, with Carrington, and I do not understand why this was not paid.
I and the insurance company sent Carrington Mortgage an invoice that has a link to make
the payment, Carrington did not make payment. A link was sent out again today from the
agent on 7/8/2026, and advised Carrington to make the payment, and that my claim from
7/3/2026, will not be paid due to lap in coverage.
I now have a lap in coverage, for not receiving payment from Carrington Mortgage, and my
policy was cancelled due to nonpayment.
I have four hot water tanks, four furnaces, dry walls and other damage that occurred due to
this flood on 7/3/2026, and another item that was destroyed in the basement flood.
My tenant called to report no air, I called my HVAC guy out there, upon his arrival, he
contacted me and notified me that there was water in the basement.
I have damages that exceed $30,000.00 due to Carrington’s negligence of not sending in a
payment. I wish to file a claim with your insurance company, and I want this check paid to
myself, so I can pay my contractor, and put my tenants up in a hotel, until their units are
repaired. You are more than welcome to come out to the unit at any time.
Please make this check payable to Keona Saunders in the amount of $30,456.00. My HVAC
man took pictures of the damages.
Enclosed is an estimate from my HVAC company to install four furnaces only.
