July 26th 2026 (Sunday), we went to Campmart Kanata Ontario location, we ended up buying a Starcraft 22 MLS trading in our Jayco Eagle 5th wheel. Sales Contract was done on July 26th with lender Desjardins then sales contract changed with loaner Scotiabank and better interest rate. Sales person Paul came to our home on July 28th 2026 and we signed the new sales contract (withloaner Scotiabank) but we never did obtain a copy of the new sales contract. Complaint:
1) On July 26th 2026, Sales guy Paul mentioned the trailer would come with 200 watts included and that the trailer was Aluminium. When we picked up the trailer on Aug. 13th we were told that 200 watts is NOT included (by the Manager who was less than friendly) and that the outside of the trailer is Aluminium but the inside is wood (contrary to what we were told by Sales person Paul before we signed the sales contract).
2) Aug. 6th Desjardins took loan out for 5th wheel and 2 business days later Aug. 10th Scotiabank took loan out for new Starcraft trailer (which we didn't have yet until Aug. 13th). How is it that within 2 business days I pay for 2 loans for both trailers when I still have only 1 which is the 5th wheel Jayco 5th wheel? And we only picked up Starcraft trailer on Aug. 13th.
3) Picked up the Starcraft trailer on Aug. 13th and brought the 5th wheel Jayco as trade-in. Overview and Warranty was done very very quick, Warranty discussion was 5 minutes and Overview 10 minutes. No warranty papers were provided when the Starcraft trailer was picked up. The warranty person was unaware of Manufacture Warranty, how's that possible - leaving us hanging.
4) Screen door doesn't latch properly to the trailer when screen door is used along and without the big door. If screen door is attached to big door it latches properly.. problem with screen door when it is used alone with trailer. This was discovered on Aug. 13th once we were home, does Campmart not have a quality check done before pickup of trailer?
Claimed loss: Return trailer
Desired outcome: Fix issues with trailer-all outstanding. Address issue in reasonable timeframe.Provide sales contract & warranty papers.Unsatisfied with purchase-looking to return trailer.
