Adriana Fuentes was asked by one of her employees (who was helping me) if a W-2 can be used to verify a SSN. She hesitated and thought about then answered "no."

I did not have my phone on me at the time but when I got to a computer and saw on the DMV that a W-2 can be used to verify your SSN.

So I waited for two hours in line to be turned away because an employee of the DMV who was not in touch with their own procedures.
