Sat 21 September 2019 @ 3:30pm, I was waiting In line in store. The store has open view to prep area. I watched young male employee in black uniform eating a cookie off of the stainless steel counter. He was bare handed. After eating cookie piece by piece, each time picking a piece up off the counter he licked his fingers. He then took a tray of freshly baked smile cookies from a rack and place the tray on the counter. He used his bare hands, after I just watched him lick his fingers, handle the freshly baked cookies. He was preparing them for the smile face decorations as he has just heated up the pink and blue bottles of icing in the overhead microwave. I couldn't believe it. One cashier, Theresa who was working cash, walked back to check on status of smile cookies and saw him eating. I was speechless. I didn't see a supervisor, nor did I want to make a scene in the busy establishment. Disgusting.
Let me be clear, he licked his fingers and touched the fresh baked cookies with those same hands, no gloves. He didn’t just touch the trays, he physically handled the cookies
Tim Hortons - store cleanliness
Upon entering this location the floors were extremely dirty. When I entered the public washroom, everything was filthy! The floors were disgusting, toilet paper was sitting on the dispenser with [censored] stains on it. The sink area was so gross I could not bare to wash my hands. When I ordered my food, no receipt was given and it took 10 mins to make. At least two employees were just standing around talking the whole time I was waiting for my food. I will never visit this location again. No pride in your store, no professionalism and no consistency.
