Received washer and dryer July 6, 2019 from contracted delivery company (Ovation) that delivers and installs appliances for Home Depot.
Delivery company (Ovation) reversed hot and cold water hoses upon installation. I subsequently used a cold water wash for delicate fabrics and, because of reversal of hoses that we were not aware of at the time, some items of clothing were damaged - I informed Home Depot and sent photos of the hookup as well as steam showing on the panel during what we had anticipated was a cold water wash.
Home Depot arranged for delivery company to rectify the problem with the reversal of the hoses; a different contracted company arrived today and indicated they could not touch the hoses due to liability issues; while here, they spoke to Home Depot Beacon Hill appliance salesman and verified they would not touch the hoses.
At the time the appliances were delivered on July 6, a dent was noted in the dryer and through the Home Depot support center, they have agreed to provide a replacement. A representative from Ovation (the company contracted for appliance delivery and installation) called today to arrange for the dryer to be delivered and installed. They indicated we would need to purchase new dryer venting hose to replace the existing at our expense.
I took the opportunity to indicate that we needed them to return to rectify the problem with the washing machine hoses and their Acting Supervisor, Sarah, informed me that they could not do that due to liability issues for the company - the very same company that made the mistake in the first place.
We are awaiting a response from Home Depot in an effort to resolve a problem that has been ongoing now for about a week and a half.
