Great deal, nice equipment
I ordered an HP ZBook from them earlier in the week. After reading the complaints I was hesitant. Then I went to the BBB site, saw they are accredited, and read those complaints that fell into a couple categories largely: those who expected DE to fully configure the equipment for them, and those who didn't realize they were buying older gear. DE addressed all the complaints there reasonably.
My Zbook is nearly 5 years old, and it looks to be in mint condition. I researched these before buying and they are W11 compatible. It came pre-loaded with W10 64 bit pro. Everything works. I've had it running a few days now. Tracking info was accurate, and it took 2 days to arrive, so no problems with shipping. I didn't have to call customer service so I cannot comment about that. But my ordering experience, the quality of my item, and the accurate description were all satisfying. The only negative I could mention is the policy of not refunding and just issuing in-store credit. Fortunately, I did not have to use that-- at least yet. I've worked IT for a long time, the HP Zbooks are powerful machines, and the one I received, though Class B, looked like Class A easily. On this basis I do recommend them. I got a decent deal on a very powerful laptop to replace my old 2006 vintage ThinkPad.
Recommendation: I recommend them based on my experience.
When I got my pc, no windows key was included
When I got my pc, no windows key was included. That was last Saturday. Today I was able to contact them about it, it took 7 hours to get the key out of them. I WILL NEVER BUY HERE AGAIN.
Extremely misleading marketing with near-useless technology. Their pricing for laptops and PCs are $100 above the average selling price. Their products are all 3-10 years old. For laptops and PCs, that's unusable, even for business. They market these laptops as 70% off the current price but, in actuality, it's 70% off the release price which is not useful whatsoever. On top of that, if you want a refund, they only give store credit. Why would I want store credit for another outdated, overpriced, used laptop? This place is a borderline scam. Never buy anything from this place.
I bought a computer as they advertised HDMI OUTPUT. THE HDMI did not work on trying to resolve this issue I was told it only works on a 27 inch TV. Also the Bluetooth didn't work.Completely ridiculous. They would not exchange the computer as it was dysfunctional. Now I am stuck with a 450 dollar computer. I am on disability and this was a splurge for me. I am devastated. Please help me

I've bought several computers, laptops, and tablets from the. Their product always have bugs in them. They do not give refunds and their store credits are a third of the product once you walk out of the store. They have a rude store clerk, he might be a manager. What seems like a good deal turns out to be a rip off. You are buying electronics that seem to be new but they are reconditioned with large flaws/bugs. In November, I purchased a tablet and I had problem after problem. I will never shop with them again. Not worth the headache.
I do not think it is a good business Discount Electronics they should be able to refund customers their money if they are not satisfied with their product. This is an unacceptable business practice. I will ALWAYS read the FINE PRINT about RETURN POLICICES and always look up businesses before purchasing anything from them at the ComplaintsBoard.com. They offered store credit which I think is very unacceptable. I will visit their website but really I do not think they have anything that I would want to purchase. I probably will end up donating my store credit. I will see after looking at what they have to offer. This was a very let-down doing business with Discount Electronics products. Respectfully
This place is a RIP off. Save your money and go with the brand new whatever you are looking for. They are money hungry scammers. Who even if you pay to add something they will send it to you separate. If at all. They sent us this dusty [censored] tower 10 year old tower that doesn't even allow you to play online. It's been two days since I called and left a voicemail no phone call return. Which is odd because I called during business hours no one ever answers. I really wish I was in texas so I could pull up and drop this useless trash off back to them. They don't care if you are a satisfied customer. That is why they only offer credit and even if they send you the wrong [censored] they charge you a $15 or 15% restocking fee plus you have to pay to send the *** back. Also be aware if you add anything to your pc it will be a overpriced USB chord for it. My 11 year old who the pc is for asked if we could sue them. Because he can't do anything on it. I am so heart broken. I have to go and buy him a real pc from a real store. You guys sucks. Your customer service sucks. Do better. This review is for potential VICTIMS. not the trash that runs this account. I don't want to the fake [censored] oh I'm sorry to hear that ish either. Because if you were you'd give me my money back so I could be completely done.

Disappointing Experience with Discount Electronics: Empty Laptop and No Refunds
I recently made a purchase from Discount Electronics and I have to say, I was not impressed with my experience. I decided to buy a refurbished laptop from them, and was told that I would have a 90 day return policy in case anything went wrong. However, when my laptop arrived, I was shocked to find that it was completely empty - there was nothing inside the shell of the laptop!
Naturally, I was very upset and immediately tried to return the laptop to Discount Electronics. However, I was told that there were no refunds available, which left me feeling very frustrated and disappointed. It seemed like a complete scam to me.
Overall, I would not recommend Discount Electronics to anyone looking to purchase a refurbished laptop or any other electronics. The lack of customer service and the fact that they do not honor their own return policy is a major red flag. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere for your electronics needs.
Disappointing Experience with Discount Electronics: HP Monitor Review
I recently made a purchase from Discount Electronics, specifically a 27 inch HP computer monitor. Unfortunately, upon receiving the monitor, I realized that it did not have the necessary pin plug. This meant that I had to order an adapter cable separately, which was a bit of a hassle.
However, my troubles did not end there. When I finally got everything set up and turned on the monitor, it only took less than 10 minutes for the screen to go completely blank. I tried multiple times to get it to work again, but unfortunately, my efforts were in vain.
Overall, I was quite disappointed with my experience with Discount Electronics. While I understand that refurbished products may not always be the most reliable, I was still hoping for a better outcome. I would not recommend purchasing from this company, as my experience was less than satisfactory.
Terrible Experience with Discount Electronics: Poor Quality PCs and Unhelpful Customer Service
Discount Electronics is not a good place to buy a PC. Their computers are not good quality and their customer service is not helpful. It took a long time for them to send me my PC and when I finally got it, the hard drive was broken. I had to talk to customer service many times and they did not help me. They just made me more frustrated. I wanted to get my money back, but they do not give refunds. It was a waste of my time and money.

Terrible Experience with Discount Electronics: Unreliable Products and Poor Customer Service
I recently purchased 3 refurbished desktops from Discount Electronics and unfortunately, none of them worked properly. I was extremely disappointed with my experience and reached out to their customer service team for assistance. They offered me "in store credit" as a solution, but I was not interested in purchasing anything from them again after my initial experience.
I have been trying to get in touch with them to request a refund, but they have not returned any of my phone calls. This has been a frustrating and disappointing experience overall. I would not recommend Discount Electronics to anyone looking for reliable and trustworthy products.
In my opinion, they are the worst company I have ever dealt with. Their lack of customer service and unwillingness to resolve the issue has left me feeling cheated and taken advantage of. I strongly advise others to stay away from these charlatans and find a more reputable and reliable company to do business with.
Disappointing Experience with Discount Electronics: Outdated Computer and Faulty Refurbished Laptop
I recently ordered a computer from Discount Electronics and boy was I disappointed. The computer was complete unusable and outdated. It cost me a whopping $45 plus a 15% restocking charge just to receive store credit. I was hoping to use that credit towards a better purchase, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case.
I decided to use the store credit to purchase a refurbished laptop. At first glance, it seemed like a good deal, but when I tried to use the second screen, it was on its side! I couldn't even view anything properly. It was frustrating to say the least.
After these experiences, I can't help but feel like this company is using its no refund policy to scam customers. It's a shame because I was really hoping to find a reliable and affordable electronics store. But it seems like Discount Electronics is not the place to go.
Discount Electronics: Scam Alert - Don't Waste Your Money!
I gotta say, I'm pretty ticked off at Discount Electronics. I put in an order on a Sunday, even though they were closed, and then I changed my mind and cancelled it within an hour. But for some reason, they went ahead and shipped it out anyway! I had to get them to stop the shipment, but even though I never got the order, they won't give me my money back. It's a total rip-off! Don't even bother with these guys, they're a total scam.
Disappointing Experience with Discount Electronics: Unreliable Products and Poor Customer Service
I recently made my first purchase from Discount Electronics and unfortunately, it was not a pleasant experience. I ordered a couple of monitors, but one of them didn't work and was not as advertised on their website. I was disappointed, but decided to give them another chance and ordered another pair. Unfortunately, one of those monitors also didn't work and to make matters worse, the speaker I ordered was missing a power cord.
It was clear to me that Discount Electronics did not seem to know their products well or test any of them before shipping them out. This was frustrating and made me question the quality of their products. I reached out to their customer service team to try and resolve the issue, but their refund process was off and they did not refund me the correct amount.
Overall, I would not recommend buying anything from Discount Electronics. My experience was not a good one and I would give them 0 stars if possible. It's important to do your research and find a reliable and trustworthy retailer when making purchases online.
Disappointing Website Experience at Discount Electronics
Wanted to buy a monitor from Discount Electronics, but it was a real struggle to sign up for their website. Once I finally got in, I had a hard time checking out when I found the monitor I wanted. Their website isn't the easiest to navigate, which made the whole process frustrating. I eventually gave up and decided to cancel my account and unsubscribe from their emails about their deals.
Instead, I ended up ordering a refurbished monitor from Newegg.com. It turned out to be a good decision because with the free shipping, I actually paid less than I would have at Discount Electronics. Overall, I was disappointed with my experience on their website, but I'm happy with the monitor I ended up getting from a different retailer.
Terrible Quality and Customer Service: My Experience with Discount Electronics
I bought a refurbished product from Discount Electronics and I was not happy with the quality. After using it for only two days, it broke down and I was told that they could not replace it or pay for the shipping for me to send it back. This is really bad business and it left me feeling very disappointed. It would have been cheaper for me to throw out the monitor than to return it. I strongly advise against ordering from this place and suggest that you look for other websites to buy from. They should be reported and shut down for their poor customer service.
I was really excited to receive my product from Discount Electronics, but unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations. I understand that it was a refurbished item, but I did not expect it to break down so quickly. When I contacted their customer service, they were not helpful at all. They refused to replace the item or pay for the shipping for me to send it back. This is not how a business should treat its customers.
I would not recommend buying from Discount Electronics. They do not stand behind their products and their customer service is terrible. It is a waste of money to buy from them and you will only end up disappointed. I suggest that you look for other websites to buy from that have better customer service and stand behind their products.
In conclusion, I had a very bad experience with Discount Electronics. Their product was of poor quality and their customer service was terrible. I would not recommend buying from them and suggest that you look for other websites to buy from. They should be reported and shut down for their poor business practices.
Terrible Experience with Discount Electronics: Outdated Products and Unfair Fees
I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Discount Electronics. I recently purchased a computer set from their website, but unfortunately, it arrived without the necessary cord. After ordering the cord separately, I found that the computer was running incredibly slow and was unable to update to the latest version of Windows, Windows 11.
I decided to exchange the computer for a different one, but was charged both a shipping fee and a restocking fee. Unfortunately, the replacement computer was also slow and I had to return it, once again paying for shipping and restocking fees. The only compensation I received was store credit, which I found to be extremely frustrating.
To make matters worse, I then decided to purchase an iPad from Discount Electronics, but found that it was an older model and unable to update to the latest software. I am now stuck with a device that is outdated and unusable.
I am at a loss as to what to do next. Should I keep the iPad and accept my losses, or return it and once again pay for shipping and restocking fees? I am extremely dissatisfied with my experience at Discount Electronics and do not plan on purchasing anything from them again.
In my opinion, this company is a scam and I would not recommend it to anyone. My hard-earned money is being wasted on products that are not worth the price. I urge others to avoid Discount Electronics at all costs.
I purchased a Dell Chromebook from Discount Electronics without an order number
I bought a Dell Chromebook from Discount Electronics, which disappointingly doesn't support Google Apps, rendering it useless to me. The trackpad is also faulty. Unaware of these issues, I wouldn't have made the purchase. I intend to return it, but they're imposing a 15% restocking fee, shipping costs, and only offer store credit, which is of no use to me as they don't stock other models. Hence, I'm seeking a full cash refund.

I placed an order for a motherboard on 2/15. The weather turned bad and items were delayed. The location was back open on 2/22 and the item was finally shipped on 2/24 (per their site, orders by 3p would be shipped that day). It is now 3/1 and I am still waiting one the item and the shipping info still shows item sitting in Austin, TX. It would have been faster to drive from my location (Indiana) to Austin, TX, pickup the item, and drive home. Weather delays are fine, but, this is ridiculous. I get no response or update from DiscountElectronics. The website is not updated with order info properly and there is no feedback spot (which is understandable if this is how they typically do business)
I bought a refurbished laptop from the company but they sent me a defective item. They would not respond to my voicemail messages, and finally responded to my email days later asking what I wanted them to do. I responded I wanted to initiate a return then explained my displeasure with their product and poor service response. They are offering me a minus 15% store credit which I find unsatisfactory considering their customer response and record.

My father-in-law purchased a computer from this company on June 11. He was not able to get it working, and I could not get up there until this month to look at it due to Covid. He is 83 and not in good health. I could not get it working because the security key is invalid, and as a result, Windows 10 cannot be activated. I have called and sent them a certified letter. I have received no response.
they built and shipped a computer to me. discount electronics failed to build components as contractually agreed, instead sending me an inferior build. when i notified them of this issue, they sent me the manual and told me to check that the components are properly installed? they need to refund me for sending the wrong computer, and so far have refused to help.

On Jan 21, 2020 I purchased a refurbished PC from Discount Electronics which arrived 4 days later with tons of damage to the casing. The damage was so extensive that the case would not even open for us to updade the memory and add new hard disks. The order number was ***. The total cost of the order was $355.17. After documenting the damage in photos I had to returned the unit back to Discount Electronics and purchased another unit for $244.30 which created a CREDIT balance in our account. The replacement unit was was purchased on Jan 31st 2020. I was under the impression that a refund would be issued to my credit card on the SAME day! However, this company refuses to issue a credit and claims that we are ONLY entitled to STORE credit. This is illegal in California where we are based.

I have tried to reach them for 2 weeks. I have left multiple messages both on the phone and recently by email to Discount Electronics regarding a rebuilt laptop I ordered in April . It isn't working and was supposed to have come with a built-in webcam, but it did not. I am unable to use it and have requested to have it fixed or returned for a refund. Yesterday, I filed a complaint with them and finally got a response telling me they had attempted twice to call but were cut off. I had my phone checked and it works fine. I left them both my home and cell phone numbers, so that excuse doesn't fly! I told them the same in a return email. I then received an email from Mr. Smith that I would get a call from a technician THIS MORNING. It is now 12:28 PM and no call. So, I called another Discount Electronics number and spoke with a representative who assured me a tech would return my call directly, yet there has been no return call. I need a working computer to complete my job! What do I have to do? I would return the product for a refund and be done with them if I could get them to advise me on shipping and return requirements.
I ordered a laptop to start school 4 days ago from Discount Electronics online received confirmation and a message with a tracking number. When I go to check on tracking it tells me that there is nothing to track I have called left messages and e-mail them with no response they received the money but I have no laptop or money.
I am in hard times and need to return a laptop I bought probably a little less than a month ago but they dont do refunds. It said I could return it in warranty I assumed that was a refund since it's under a year warranty. They offered store credit but I dont need another laptop right now. The laptop has dings and problems they didnt put in the description either.
Advertised was a Dell Optiplex 3240 all in one desktop with built in web cam, and touch screen option
Advertised was a Dell Optiplex 3240 all in one desktop with built in web cam, and touch screen option. Recieved the system, there NO webcam at all, this is NOT touch screen optional. Called was directed to email "***" who refuses to tell me his title. Offered $30.00 back to purchase a web cam on my own, or to ship the system back...for what? I do not know as he explained NOTHING about what happens if i ship it back. In 4 emails the man could not even humble himself to apologize, did state it was an inaccurate web description they put up. I have looked for a webcam in this $30.00 range and have not found any, so what to do with this option? Not reasonable. It is my contention that they used false advertising and now refuse to offer what i purchased. They should be ashamed, luring people in with fake ads then not holding up their end of the deal. I want what was offered! This is not a reasonable request or expectation.

Recieved a 1-day Sale event email from Discount Electronics on Thursday 2/11 @4p, for a bare bones CPU (w/Win10) starting @$150
Recieved a 1-day Sale event email from Discount Electronics on Thursday 2/11 @4p, for a bare bones CPU (w/Win10) starting @$150.. I consulted with friends on the specific build details necessary to do online classes and remote work from the desktop that I was trying to cobble together. I customized the CPU tower to the tune of $294.87, and realized that I wouldn't be able to do a curbside pickup because they're NOT in NY, I tentatively placed the order. Had a few questions about my pre-owned Dell accessories fitting properly, add a monitor?.. Rang the customer service dept. number given with my ORDER#***, *** to no avail/no answer. No big deal, I'll ring Friday morning before the CPU "ships [protected]@3p". Rang @11:30a Friday, no answer. There are 9emails (mostly mine), of queries, callbacks and TRACKING NUMBER requests. Rang Saturday morning, AGAIN NO ANSWER but the payment posted. Sent *** another email, now I'm nervous, really want a full REFUND. Email 2:30a CANCELED ORD

I purchased a refurbished computer, with various upgrades
I purchased a refurbished computer, with various upgrades. It arrived without the speakers but was remedied in a reasonable time. It came with one single page of instruction to activate Windows 10 and nothing else. After contacting them about the 1 yr antivirus then told me to look for a label/sticker on the the mainframe after a few days. I try to install it and it won't work, i get mad now... it won't work at all. I believed it was supposed to be installed prior to shipping, just like windows 10. After multiple attempts and talking with customer support from *** (who also refused to refund me) i thought it was installed, only to find out it was a 30 day trial and not the 1 yr I paid for. Now neither will give me a refund blaming the other but I still have no security while waiting for someone to help. Discount Electronics is a horrible company, there were no instructions to set up anything, the wi-fi, bluetooth, hooking up monitor or even how to put it together. I still can't get the bluetooth or dvd to work !

OK I bought a discounted HD Projector, order #12345 from a discount electronics website
OK I bought a discounted HD Projector, order #12345 from a discount electronics website. Before purchasing, I called and talked to a salesperson who told me it had only been used for 2 hours. The projector was used. I paid $1596.83 including shipping on March 16. I received the item on 3/22. After less than 10 minutes of use, the projector stopped working; there was no fan noise or laser light, and the bulb and temperature warning sign flashed red. It's essentially a non-functional projector. I contacted the electronics store for a full refund but was offered only store credit or a replacement. I declined both because I don't trust their products after this experience and insisted on a full refund. I don't want to risk receiving another faulty product that could fail after the warranty expires. This seems like a tactic to trap customers into a cycle of purchasing faulty products. I'm requesting a full refund as the store credit or replacement won't resolve the issue. It's a case of false advertising and taking advantage of customers. If a replacement fails post-warranty, I'll have lost $1596.83. I'm asking for a full refund.

I was not given 1) Merchandise as ordered and 2) Merchandise was delivered with shotty workmanship with the laptop ("item" herein) - As per Discount Electronics' return policy, I notified the merchant via email regarding the screen being wobbly, moving back and forth. This is not a result of a delivery damage, this is a result of a dealer giving faulty product. This was the first flaw I noticed before even turning on the computer. I was told by the merchant that I would be responsible for shipping costs to return in addition to a $15 or 15% restocking fee (whichever is cheaper). The item was shipped back via UPS (as per merchant's directions) the same day it was received (05/22) . I have video of the unboxing and faulty screen. In addition to getting a faulty screen, the specs of the computer are Windows 7 when a Windows 10 was ordered. I was charged $435.63 for a product that was unusable. I will accept the shipping costs incurred by myself from UPS to send merchandise back (tracking number ***), the initial cost to send the item to me, and the and the $15 restocking fee (as 15% is greater). I am out money from this merchant and am not asking for reimbursement for my costs to ship nor the $15 for the merchant to restock their item, but I am asking for a complete return, as i was shipped a faulty product
